Democrats’ Soul Searching (Hour 2)

April 29, 2025

Democrats (and progressive Americans who prefer not to wear a party label) are still celebrating this month’s state Supreme Court victory, but no one out there is assuming some kind of permanent corner has been turned. Feelings are still raw about Donald Trump’s Wisconsin victory, so what do Democrats need to do to have more success in 2026? Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich put his thoughts on paper recently and we’ll hear what motivated him to share some suggestions for the political left.

Mornings with Pat Kreitlow airs on several stations across the Civic Media radio network, Monday through Friday from 6-9 am. Subscribe to the podcast to be sure not to miss out on a single episode! Good Elected Officials Listen To Their Constituents (Hour 1)

April 17, 2025

BREAKING NEWS: Before we kick off today’s show, Todd shares early details on an active shooter situation at Florida State University in Tallahassee. Stay tuned to your local news to hear more details as they become available.

Today, we are very excited to welcome Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich! He recently wrote a guest column in The Recombobulation Area on where the Democratic party should go from here. He believes that the party is not taking strong enough action to carry out the will of the people. Genrich says that the high attendance of anti-MAGA protests and anti-oligarchy rallies across the country beg the question: do Democrats really want to be the party of the status quo?

At the bottom of the hour, State Senator Sarah Keyeski returns to the program to update us on what she has accomplished in her first three months in office. Currently, she is fighting to proactively ban hedge funds from buying up single-family residences and jacking up prices. This situation is already occurring in Milwaukee, and Sen. Keyeski wants to prevent it from making homes even less affordable for Wisconsinites around the state.

We wrap up the first hour, we take a dive into MAGA radio. Conservative talk show host Joe Giganti has labeled WI GOP Chairman Brian Schimming as “Pontius Schimming.” Giganti claims that Schimming is “crucifying” other Republicans because he isn’t extreme enough.
