Do It For The Mamas (Hour 3)

May 2, 2025

Motherhood—is any concept more American and more worthy of respect from our elected leaders? That doesn’t seem to matter to Robin Vos, the Speaker of the Assembly, who’s single-handedly blocking a bill to better protect new moms from health crises. We’ll talk to Dr. Kristin Lyerly and Emily Tseffos about this bill and another bipartisan proposal at the Capitol: providing better coverage for the kinds of diagnostic mammograms that are proven to save lives.

Accountability For All (Hour 1)

February 24, 2025

So last week we were talking about a town hall meeting which didn't go so swimmingly for Congressman Scott Fitzgerald. Well, it seems like Congressman Glenn Grothmann has similar problems with the session he held this past weekend. We take a look at both events and hear from you on why people aren't just sitting around, taking it. Then, public school advocate and Outagamie Democratic Chair Emily Tseffos joins the show to talk about an exchange she had with a Wisconsin State Senator (both face to face and in the comments). We also talk about the two school systems YOU are paying for in Wisconsin.

Civic Media Spotlight for Weekend of December 7th, 2024 (Hour 1)

December 7, 2024

Kicking off this hour, the Earl Ingram Show is joined by Wisconsin's own Ben Wikler to discuss his bid for Chairman of the National Democratic party and the reasons he believes the Democrats did not see the results they wanted in November.

Then on UpNorthNews Radio, Ron ‘Duff’ Martin, an Eau Claire teacher who serves on the executive board of the National Education Association, talked about how this week’s overturning of Act 10 by a court can play a role in improving public education in Wisconsin. There will still be appeals of the ruling that strikes down former Gov. Scott Walker’s signature law that gutted public employee unions in the state in 2011, but Martin said if the final outcome is the reinstatement of collective bargaining rights, then unions will be able to negotiate working conditions that will help retain teachers and address worsening shortages, especially in rural districts.

On Matenaer On Air this week, former assembly candidate and county party volunteer Emily Tseffos joined the show to discuss what the Democrats need to do post election and the conversations that need to be had. She also speaks about the conversations that need to be had between voters and what keeps us connected and not divided. Emily also speaks about what needs to happen on the county party level with regard to long range planning for future elections.

The hour wraps with a segment from the Maggie Daun Show, where Maggie shares her takes on the news of the week that a county judge has ruled certain portions of the 2011 Act 10 unconstitutional and what is likely to come next in the battle to return collective bargaining rights back to public sector unions.

Wisconsin’s Supper Club Vibe (Hour 2)

April 18, 2024

The Glamorous Life of a Candidate

January 11, 2024

Political candidates used to carefully control their image through consultants, professional photographers, and so on. But in the social media age, we see much more “real life” from the people seeking our vote—including a mom who had to switch gears and shoot a video as wet heavy snow pummeled Wisconsin. We’ll learn more about Emily Tseffos, a state Assembly candidate in the Fox Valley.
