Signs of life are something we're not seeing much for the Milwaukee Bucks.
I mean, the Washington Wizards have found a team that they can beat on a consistent basis this year, which is pretty amazing, and it's the Milwaukee Bucks.

think they got 12.
Winds I think Washington

are against or nine wins and three of them against
They're double digits.
Okay, so it's 12 so it's 12 so
they got 12 wins So nine against the rest the NBA
and and three against the books is just insanity But I'm gonna bring up some good possible news for the books because and again I'm not gonna try to explain how this is gonna happen because there's pick swaps involved But the bucks could theoretically have a really high pick in the NBA draft next year people talking about
They don't picks to maneuver in a possible trade, but they are part of the trade.
I think that ultimately went back, maybe the Drew Holiday.
Yeah, and then Atlanta's in there as well.
But as long as the pelicans continue to stink and the bucks continue to stink, there's a possibility, theoretically, if the drawing and the.
ping-pong balls or whatever they use these days work.
You could actually literally have a top two pick or top three pick.
Well, you can't have a top pick.
No, you can't have the top pick, but you could have a top two pick or a top three pick because of the swap.
Pelicans will get the higher pick.

The Bucks will get the lower one.
But when it happens, you're thinking, well, usually it's like one team will be in the draft lottery.
The other team will be like, the Bucks were expecting to be like 27.
And we hit rock bottom that we're talking about the draft.

If they want the bucks have to figure out foot them themselves what they want this year right now And if they really do want to try to make a fight for a play-in spot, I don't think doc I think they need a spark I'm not usually one of those people that says fire the coach get a spark but right now they are in such a I Mean, there's nothing there is there.

to try to curb the Ku Klux Klan in the past.

Well, let's see
Last night at last night I did not have rehearsal for spelling bee
So I was able to attend the, well, the rehearsal for the center stage abandoned show choir.
And last night was the annual meeting to discuss the upcoming year and also to announce the theme of this year's show as well.
And it's actually a very interesting theme.
It's a little different, but it's a great theme.
And then the last, it's called
Tribute to a wasa west a pop concert.
Hmm.
So I What an interesting Music and we got to I Got to sing some of the songs for the first time last night because that was my first time I came back to center stage rehearsal They should be a very great show it's gonna be a little different because we can't use the grand
a theater this year for Center Stage because of the second century campaign.
So right now they're in the process of trying to finalize a different venue, space to have the show later in September of this year.
It was great to get back to that rehearsal as well.
And the nice thing is that Center Stage only meets on Thursdays once a week.
Very good.
That's interesting how you put together such a fantastic show and it basically is something that is done over many months time.
Oh
yeah.
It's not a case of the normal theater rehearsal process where you go into it for basically six weeks all in on an almost nightly basis but you do it slowly but surely but in the end it comes together exceptionally well.
Oh yeah we definitely got a lot of positive
feedback, especially from last year's show.
One of the members of Sarah's stage I mentioned last night that Sarah's stage is the greatest kept secret that no one ever knows about.
So that's not what we want.
Nope.
We want to get the word out.
We want to get more people to see the show and more people involved as well.
Well, we're trying to do that here as we do with the other.
productions as well.
We'll talk about Central Wisconsin Children's Theater next week and Sleeta and their Shrek performance.
We'll have cast members joining us next week on this program as well.
So looking forward to that.

Fifteen brave and bundled volunteers gathered at the North Central Community Action Office at 10.30 p.m.
in Wisconsin Rapids to receive instructions, supplies and resource information before setting out for the point-in-time count.
Katie Schumer is the Outreach Case Manager, Coordinated Entry Specialist for North Central Community Action Program.
I have bags over there that each group can take.
Inside those bags are hygiene products, hats, gloves.
There's information in there for 211.

The point in time, or PIT count, is a required count of sheltered and unsheltered people experiencing homelessness on a single night in January.
The U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development requires these numbers twice a year to guide resource allocation and strategies.
HAM and amateur radio operators volunteer to coordinate between groups as they canvass their assigned areas.
Mayor Matt Zachar was among the volunteers.
It's my first time out, just understanding that this actually happens as we're diving into some of the issues we're having in the Wisconsin Rapids area.
Recent meetings between city and county officials are bringing to light some of the challenges they face, one of the biggest being that each agency defines homelessness differently.
Thankfully, on this chilly night in Wood County, the pit count was zero.
All right, we've got you, section six.
This is the time of year where we use salt to make streets less slick and sidewalks safer.
According to Wisconsin SaltWise, all it takes is one teaspoon of salt to pollute five gallons of fresh water and make it toxic to some species.
The Department of Natural Resources says just over the last 20 years or so, chloride in our water supply has risen by about 28%.
That can even impact how our water tastes, according to Megan Rippey, an assistant professor of civil and environmental engineering, effort
The
US EPA and the WHO do make recommendations that are intended to be a protective of people on low sodium diets.
So that's a value of about 20 milligrams per liter sodium.
Over the last 20 years, more than a third of Wisconsin community wells have exceeded the lower end of those standards.
Aaron Rodman owns Extra Mile Snow Plowing.
They take care of 70% of all the commercial pavement in West Bend.
He says about 10 years ago he was hesitant to adopt eco-friendly measures, but now pre-wedding salt before dropping it and using more advanced plows have allowed him to drop his salt use.
I was not sold.
The rest of my employees, they drank the Kool-Aid.
And we're like, Aaron, you got to take some of this, too.
And I'm like, no, no, I got to take care of our customers.
This isn't the way to go.
They got me on board.
It's good Kool-Aid.
It really is.
These practices work.
They're incredibly more sustainable for the environment.
And they're incredibly profitable.
Wisconsin SaltWise hosts free training for snow removal pros to teach them some of these more eco-friendly practices.
A grand theater executive has been appointed to a leading national service organization for the performing arts.
Sean Wright is the executive director of the Grand Theater.
And now, he's been named to the board of directors of the Association of Performing Arts Professionals.
According to a press release, the association represents thousands of arts organizations, artists, agents, managers, and presenters worldwide, and their board provides strategic leadership to advance the organization's mission.
Wright said in a statement he's, quote, honored to join the APAP Board of Directors and to contribute to an organization that plays such a vital role in supporting arts professionals across the world.
The Wisconsin Tobacco Quit Line is expanding its services thanks to new funding from the Department of Health Services.
According to a press release, the funding will allow the Tobacco Quit Line to provide residents with eight weeks worth of nicotine replacement products compared to the two weeks it can provide now.
Any Wisconsin residents 18 years or older can call the quit line to receive free items like nicotine patches and gum or to seek counseling services.
Agency officials say their services are not a full treatment program but can help people get a jump start on quitting.
If you need a photo ID to show at the polls, you can get an ID card free of charge from the Wisconsin DMV.
There's no separate voter ID, but you need an ID card to vote.
You can check the Wisconsin Elections Commission website for all valid forms of ID to vote.
To get your free photo ID from the DMV, you can start on their website to see what documents you will need at WisconsinDMV.gov.
