Looks like it'll be a suds versus sun world series with the Brewers facing off against the Tampa Bay Rays according to the Associated Press.

The best of seven showcase opens this Friday in Milwaukee.

Whoever takes the title will be a first-time champion.

Neither team has ever won a World Series.

It'll be the first time in nearly a half a century two title list teams battle it out for the World Series title.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is set to travel to Eau Claire today.

The Department of War says he's visiting as part of the Arsenal of Freedom tour.

Secretary Hegseth will visit Riverside and deliver remarks to the workforce alongside small business administrator Kelly Loeffler.

He previously visited Wisconsin in August where he toured the Oshkosh Corporation and spoke to workers.

Two Rivers Police are cautioning the public not to believe everything they read on social media.

In a press release about having two people in custody in connection to a body found in Lake Michigan, police say false information about the victim and suspects is circulating on social media.

They say a GoFundMe account connected to the case may also be a scam.

Authorities found the body in Lake Michigan near a two rivers marina last Friday.

Police say they arrested one person Friday.

Another suspect was already in jail for an unrelated case.

Authorities believe this was an isolated incident and there's no threat to the public.

And today is the day Wisconsinites can get out and vote if you want to cast your ballot early.

Dozens of voting locations are set up all across the state.

Unlike Election Day, you don't have to go to a specific polling location to vote, depending on where you live.

You do have to live in Wisconsin, though, and bring an idea along to prove it.

Days, hours, and times of early voting vary by city, so be sure to check ahead for the details where you live.

You can find a list on many city clerks' websites, or check the website MyVote

A former radio DJ in Green Bay was convicted Monday of child sexploitation and theft charges.

Daniel Liebern, who went by Dan Brown on Kiss FM pleaded no contest to five counts of child sexploitation.

According to the criminal complaint, police got a tip about a child sex abuse video being shared on Snapchat.

Investigators traced the account to Liebern and served a search warrant in the Howard home where he lives with his parents.

Liebern was also convicted for stealing nearly 14,000

dollars from the U.S.

Junior Curling Association.

Court records show he'll be sentenced in February.

The gun deer hunting season is right around the corner, and Wisconsin's deer population is on the move.

As civic media's Maddie Schaefer tells us, that means drivers need to be on the lookout now more than ever.

Maddie Schaffer

Drivers across Wisconsin are being reminded to watch for deer as the fall mating season gets underway.

The Wisconsin State Patrol says deer are on the move this time of year, increasing the risk of crashes, especially around dawn and dusk.

Last year, Wisconsin recorded more than 17,000 deer-related crashes, resulting in six deaths and more than 700 injuries.

About 42% of those crashes happened between October and December, with November seeing the highest number.

State Patrol Superintendent Tim Carnahan says drivers should keep an eye on the road ahead, especially as the days get shorter and deer become harder to spot.

Drivers are reminded to slow down when approaching deer near the road and watch for others that may follow.

If a collision is unavoidable, the State Patrol says to brake firmly and stay in your lane rather than swerving, which could lead to a more serious crash.

And if you do hit a deer, you should pull over safely and call 911 if someone is injured or the deer is blocking the road.

For Civic Media News, I'm Maddie Schaefer.

The state

And that's your state news update.

great level of energy and excitement buying collectively with a group and that gives us a foundation to build from.

That's what we're excited about we're gonna create an identity and a culture that's centered around competition and getting better every day and Taylor's gonna lead us with that and we're really excited about that.

Mike Clemens
