Earl Ingram

Welcome back to what's going on with Earl Ingram.

I'm always happy and excited to have an opportunity to be back in the studio.

It's been on hiatus for a little while and every opportunity you get to come before the audience and do this is you realize just how fortunate and lucky you are and the privilege

uh that exists and i want to continue to say thank you to civic media for continuing to give me an opportunity in this platform to discuss so many different things and it is with that backdrop that i'm always excited about my next guess uh really you know this towering uh mass of a man

But even bigger than his mass is, you know, the fight in his heart.

And so I'm so excited to have my good friend, Robert Miranda, back in the saddle again.

Welcome back, my friend.

How you doing?

Great, great to be back.

Thank you.

Thanks for the invitation, as always.

And also wanted to express Kudos to Civic Media myself.

very important in these days to have independent voices, independent voices out there, giving alternative views and information and opinions so that there is a discussion and more well-rounded information for people to grasp and make their decisions.

Earl Ingram

So for those who don't know, tell us a little bit about Robert

Miranda.

Well, basically, I've been a community activist for over three decades now.

Earl Ingram

A troublemaker.

Community activist slash troublemaker.

I've been known to stir

something.

And before I became involved in community, I served 10 years in the Marine Corps and did my time over.

Lebanon back in 1983 and had a lot of good good good memories during those years.

Used to be a graduate of University of Wisconsin Milwaukee was the first Hispanic student president of the University and ever since then I've just been basically involved in the community.

Uh, last, uh, campaign I initiated was the whole thing with the lead and water, lead pipes and stuff.

So, uh, but, uh, now I've been, uh, very much focused on taking care of my mother and my family and putting a lot more time to them because, uh, over the years, I've really, uh, neglected having the time I'm having with them now and I'm making up for that.

Earl Ingram

So, so I understand that man.

Charity starts at home and then it's spread abroad.

That's right.

Earl Ingram

And as you and I have been community oriented and driven, you do realize leadership and being involved in things in the community requires sacrifice.

That's right.

And so sometimes we slow down and we get a chance to think about what's more important.

And that's, you know, got to take care of family first of all.

That's right.

That's right.

Like I said, over three decades of activism, I put a lot of time into that.

And now for the last at least two years, I've really put a lot of time into my family.

And I think I'm going to stay focused on that.

Mother has been very ill.

And, you know, she's over 91 years old.

And so the time for me right now is to just basically cherish those those final years, you know, and be with her.

I'm doing as much as I can to be that person that needs to, she needs for support and I'm going to be there.

Earl Ingram

And you're doing a great job of it by the way, man.

Your dedication and commitment, but that drive and that fight is still in Robert Miranda and I want to begin, man, about the outcome of the election on last night and I'd be remiss if we didn't talk

a little bit about that.

We're going to cover a lot of different things in today's segment.

And so people know this is not the last time.

We've been at this for quite a while.

We're going to continue to do it.

But Robert, David Crowley, the young man that we both know, has really kind of shocked the world.

I remember when Ali

beat Sonny Liston

the

Earl Ingram

first time.

Right.

Right.

And he and and he stuck the microphone in his face and he said, I shook up the world, shook up the world.

Yeah.

Yeah.

And it's pretty safe to say that the outcome of the election last night, if it didn't shake it, shake up the world, it shook up many people in this nation because they didn't give.

David Crowley, a chance of unseating, well, not unseating, but upsetting Miss Hong.

And so I want to ask you, I want to begin by asking you, Miss Hong, who is clearly a bright young woman who took on, you can actually say,

She took on a giant in the Democratic Party Okay, and she didn't do it according to the rules of the game She took on a system and Didn't waver She didn't back down from her beliefs and so

all the money and all the other things that go along with it.

And she was right there until the end.

Your thoughts first on Miss Hong.

I agree that she is very articulate, very intelligent, very thoughtful, methodical with her approach.

She clearly had a strong message, and that's key is the message.

But not only is the message key, but

How do you present that message?

Some people can articulate something and not really have a deep understanding of what it is they're talking about.

Like we see with this guy over there in DC.

He talks a game, but he really doesn't understand what he's really talking about.

She knew what she was talking about.

She understood the intricacies of what she was saying.

And that radiated to the people.

People picked up on it because it was easy for them to follow what she was saying.

That's a very hard thing to do when you're doing public speaking.

And she is very good at it.

No doubt about it.

And you're right.

It did shake up things.

Crawley's victory and her involvement shook up a lot in Wisconsin.

between the two of them, because it really showed that the cracks are starting to widen in the Democratic establishment base.

It's starting to really, there were small cracks, but now those cracks have been widened even more.

And so,

The establishment.

The bosses of the Democratic Party are starting to see things here with her campaign that they were ignoring for a long time.

And that is that people are really starting to get tired of them.

People are starting to really wake up to the timidity of the Democratic Party.

They're not fighting as hard as they should they should be fighting very hard for working people and Hong brought that message and that's what people wanted to hear they want to hear about somebody who was going to be fighting for them not kowtowing to the rich and powerful and making nicey-nicey with those people because

You cannot make nicey-nicey with greedy predatory capitalists.

Right now, that's what we are dealing with in this country is a predatory system of capitalists who have figured out how to buy their politicians in order to enhance their wealth and their control and their power.

over the country.

It's very, very easy to see how this is happening.

And the way it's happening is by the money being put into certain campaigns, certain coffers, certain political parties.

And in this case, we got both political parties taking from the billionaire.

Earl Ingram

So let's not overlook the fact that

These are two very young people.

Exactly.

Okay.

The establishment has not really ever looked towards giving up their power to these people as young as Francesca Hong and David Crowley, not to mention both minorities.

That's not, let's be honest, where we are with this.

This is unprecedented in the state of Wisconsin.

Two minorities, a female and a black male, you know, being the two front runners and duking it out to become governor for the state of Wisconsin.

It's unprecedented time.

And the vote showed, you know, that

The people really didn't care who?

race color creator age They care about the message and that's what it boils down to now Crawley needs to work on his messaging a little bit

Earl Ingram

more.

What do you mean?

Well, I haven't you know, what is one of the most driving?

Arguments that Hong put out there that really got people

To really get behind her, you know this whole thing with AI centers the AI data centers.

Earl Ingram

Oh, yeah,

you know Wisconsin is like a lot of other states around the country.

They don't want that They don't want that She says she's gone The first thing she does is an office is put a bar to her amount on that

Gonna call a special session is gonna put a moratorium on AI data centers in Wisconsin That radiated a lot with people

Earl Ingram

no question,

you know Probably gonna have to sharpen up that argument there He's gonna have to talk about that if he really wants to Get the people up in northern Wisconsin and Western Wisconsin and all those other areas that see that as a threat to them

he's going to have to sharpen up

Earl Ingram

on that so what so what if the money all that three million dollars that he received in inside of a two week period of time most of that came from the date the data centers came from somewhere that he's in trouble

it

Earl Ingram

came from

somewhere if all that a lot of that money came from that segment

Earl Ingram

i don't know that to be a fact if if it did right

if it did

He's in trouble because I think a lot of those votes that Hong got a lot of that Had to do with her position on this This is an environmental issue This is a jobs issue This is a land issue, you know water

All kinds of things are going to be impacted by these AI data centers negatively.

And people outside of Milwaukee understand this very well.

They understand this very well.

So if he's tied into that, I don't think he's going to do just as well as Hong did.

And I don't think those people are going to come out to vote for him.

Earl Ingram

So look, we're up, we're up the street from, we're in racing, we're up the street from Kenosha.

You want to see the impact of data centers.

We're not far from Kenosha.

Just take a ride and you'll look and see a massive, actually the second one's going up right now, data center that people thought, Hey, this is going to be great.

All that open land that was supposedly allocated to for the eighth wonder the world and Scott Walker and Donald Trump the first time around That didn't didn't happen and that land just stood there and now all of a sudden Somebody came in and led people to believe we're gonna do something and they built this massive Center and now the second one's going up and now the people in Kenosha are thinking hey

We got duped

well again This is what happens when people are sold snake oil You know they're given this whole idea that things are gonna be rosy and okie-dokie and everything's gonna be fine and they buy it and it doesn't dawn on them that when time comes

They're going to feel the effects because they did not research this better.

They did not look into the matter better.

They were only looking at what they were told by my politicians,

Earl Ingram

my

politicians and rich people on the benefits.

That's all they cared about.

They didn't read between the lines like they should have.

Now they're seeing between the lines.

And that experience, what's happening.

Is radiating throughout to the rest of the state because people are now saying see They went with it and look what's happening to them We don't want that happening to them happening to us here.

So we don't want this

Earl Ingram

so And I don't want to get too far off the subject but That we're talking about with the election but but the data center This is is

It's not going away, man.

The military is now requesting

that

Earl Ingram

we need to have more data and they're going to permeate the countryside all over this nation.

They're going to if somebody doesn't stop it.

Exactly.

There's got to be some kind of form of control or else.

You know, and again, this really goes to the whole how it impacts the environment.

how it impacts our water supply.

This is very, very serious stuff.

And, you know, the people who are always, oh, these environmentalists, there's a reason why we have environmentalists.

Because they understand with nature, you don't play with it.

They understand the land.

They understand how fragile those resources are.

especially water

Earl Ingram

and especially air.

And the fact that we have a responsibility as the Native Americans said, leave it better than it was when you first

got there.

There's a lot of truth to that.

And data centers are not going to leave it better.

They're going to damage it.

They're going to damage it.

And prices are going to increase in energy.

For people, you know, it's just right now Too bad it's happening to Kenosha, but at least now there's something people can see First hand to see the negatives on this and now people are saying oh, we don't want that over here So and so he's got a sharpen up that that he's got a sharpen up that argument

And I hope he isn't connected to it and getting money from it because like I said, if he is, it's going to hurt him.

Earl Ingram

Well, well, well, Tom Tiffany and Republicans are supporting it.

Oh, OK.

So we

know, you know, those, those guys can support that they can get out there and how it learns to

Earl Ingram

support the KKK and

they'll get the vote.

You know, the Republican party is a party with no morals.

You know, this is this is a party without moral compass.

All right, you go and

you go and you're going

to stand somebody up as a felon convicted rape.

I mean, come on now.

What party has the credibility and the moral fiber to be tan AI is good.

Not this one.

This one.

This they don't care about you.

They don't care about you.

So Crowley's got to clean that up.

He's got to clean that up or else he's going to lose.

Do

Earl Ingram

you think he can win?

If he cleans it up, I think he can.

If he shows himself ready to take that on and say, you know what, not in Wisconsin.

If he says not in Wisconsin, I think he can.

Earl Ingram

Let me just say, man, as a lifelong resident of the state of Wisconsin, a geezer.

so to speak, 72 year old geezer who hasn't lived anywhere else other than Wisconsin.

I'm pretty amazed that David Crowley, a black man is on the precipice.

He could possibly become what would be the second black governor in the nation.

There's only one.

That's Westmoreland out of Maryland.

There's only been five historically in the United States of America.

There's only been five black governors ever in the 250 year history.

But here in Wisconsin, one of the most segregated of all the states.

I mean, we got to understand where historically where this is.

Right?

And so what transpired last night?

And so, maybe there, because of what is happening and I don't understand why anybody who is struggling in this state or in this nation would continue to vote for Republican policies.

I don't care, all the other things that you may not like, right?

But man, to struggle the way people are struggling and you think that we're gonna continue to vote for people, whatever are the reasons and rationale for not voting for other people.

And I'm gonna, in the face of this, continue to say, oh, Tom Tiffany, that's my guy.

And you're struggling every day, man.

And then there's no cavalry coming.

from the people that you voted for.

Well, that's that's the downside of just basically looking at things from a more culture war perspective.

That's basically what it is.

The Republican Party is not concerned about the economics of things or for the average American for the average American.

But, you know, they're more concerned about the cultures of things.

You know, this idea that

People of color are rising up scares the Jesus of them, you know this idea that They're not doing as good, but their neighbor who is black is Doing better than that.

You know, there's jealousy there.

There's anger there

Earl Ingram

And not a lot of truth either

because I guess they need somebody to blame.

Earl Ingram

Yeah,

right.

They need somebody they need somebody to blame this

You know, they don't they don't want to look at themselves and look in the mirror and say, you know, I'm a lazy guy.

I'm not working hard enough to do what I got to do to win, even though the system is rigged for them to succeed.

But they too lazy to do it themselves.

And because somebody who is not like them or white or conservative, white or whatever is succeeding, even even a black conservative can see winning.

and succeeding, make some jealous.

Oh, you only got there because he's black.

Come on.

They don't look at themselves as being a loser and a failure.

See, they've taken that LBJ philosophy.

Have I ever shown you LBJ's talk?

Earl Ingram

Yeah, yes.

We've gone over there.

Lyndon Bay's Johnson, right?

Lyndon Bay Johnson.

What did he say?

Elizabeth Johnson says, if you can convince the lowest white man, he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket.

Hell, give him somebody to look down on and he will empty his pocket for you.

That's the philosophy of these people.

That's the bigotry of Maga.

That's the kind of way they look at things.

I am suffering.

I am not able to achieve what I want to achieve because they're giving it.

To this black man who shouldn't even be at that position.

Because I'm better.

Earl Ingram

Yeah, but they but they felt but what they felt to understand is, um, we're at a point in the history of this nation where it doesn't matter if you're white.

If you don't have any money.

But that's the that's the that's why it's not going to be enough.

That's the

point they don't want to accept.

Earl Ingram

Yeah,

that's the point they don't want to look at.

That's the point they don't want to acknowledge.

Because

their bigotry prevents them from seeing that.

You know, they just can't see somebody driving that Lexus when they should be riding it.

Earl Ingram

So let me ask you.

So.

So the outcome of the election.

Then we got three months and we'll see what happens and what the impact of all this will be.

But let's let's move on to.

You're a veteran.

And so we are caught right now every day that this war goes on.

You and I have been around a while.

And so we've seen our nation involved in different wars.

They don't want to call it a war.

I don't care what you call it.

You can call it whatever you want to call it.

It's a war, okay?

And right now,

excuse me, Iran.

You know, the American people don't really know the truth.

We really know the truth about the wars.

But in this instance, we are led to believe that we bummed them into coming right.

And they get, oh, man, we we we got rid of the Navy.

We got rid of the Air Force.

Not to mention they didn't have much in the way of a Navy.

OK.

When you're talking about getting rid of somebody's Navy, you think Navy, you think Russia, you think China, you think America, you think major nations.

And so nobody ever muster Iran for having a Navy, but they misled people to believe all these different things.

And those of us who know a little bit about because we've been around a while and we pay some attention to what's happening with the Middle East, we know

that when I first heard that we had attacked Iran, I never will forget it.

I woke up one morning, said, I told my wife, hey, we attacked Iran.

I couldn't believe it, right?

I just could not believe that we could be, that we would be so foolhardy.

To think they're like Venezuela.

Earl Ingram

Yeah, I mean because because we know the magnitude of what could happen if by getting into that skirmish because all the presidents before Democrats and Republicans and the Joint Chiefs of Staff and others knew that this is not a proposition That that we should even begin to undertake

And yet here we were, we were there.

And then we had a guy named Pete Hextev off of Fox News.

Oh, we're getting the word.

Oh, man.

See, this is what you get when you put a lot of Yahoo's in office, man.

That's that's that's the problem with Yahoo's.

You know, they don't look at this in a very

Earl Ingram

pragmatic

way, you know.

First of all, you cannot.

dismiss history.

They did.

Iran is Persia.

They're Persians.

They're not Arabs.

Earl Ingram

They're Persians.

Yeah.

Been in wars forever.

This is a nation that has been at war for over thousands of years.

They know war.

Right.

And they know their land.

They have been on that land all those years.

They know how that land operates.

Okay.

And

This is a nation that also has a kind of different mentality when it comes to its military doctrine compared to the Arab countries around us.

See, there's a reason why the Arab countries in Iran are having an issue.

And again, one, it's not because they're just basically not Arabs.

But they're also they're Muslims, but they're all the Shia action.

And the Arab states are allies, a guitar and all.

are of the Sunni faction.

And so, you know, so there's animosities and there has been a lot of

Earl Ingram

back and forth, you know,

historically, you understand all that.

Now, Iran's military doctrine doesn't follow what the Arab doctrine is.

They're doctrine, for example, Iraq.

When Iraq had its war with Iran,

Everybody was thinking Iraq is gonna run them over.

Earl Ingram

Yeah, because America was supporting America was supporting

and Iran Iraq had the biggest military force, right?

Biggest well supply.

I know

Earl Ingram

cuz America was ally,

but the problem with Iraq's armed forces was it was too centralized You couldn't do nothing without having the authority of central command Iran isn't that way

Even though they do have supreme leader and they have a central command structure and stuff But they also have like about I think it was like 2931 different levels levels of command right And they all can act independently So In Iraq when we took out today in Hussein Saddam Hussein The military immediately fell apart because there was no orders coming

Central Command was destroyed.

In Iran.

When they took out the Supreme Leader.

They thought they were going to get the same result, but they didn't.

Why?

Because all those little different military commands have standing order.

You get no order from the Central Command.

You go on the offensive.

Earl Ingram

They work independently.

Exactly.

And that's why after the killing of the Supreme Leader.

the country of Iran exploded in response, attacking Israel, attacking everybody was getting missiles, everybody was getting drone.

And everybody's like, where did all this come from?

Iran is a different kind of military strategy you have to employ.

And not only that, with their doctrine, but you also have to consider the terrain.

That's a country that is a fortress.

Those mountains don't play.

And they knew how to use their

Earl Ingram

territory.

Well, we should have learned that from Afghanistan.

The mountains were there.

We were there for 20 years.

Exactly.

It's hard to navigate through all that stuff.

But, you know, doofus and cake set and all these other people listen to nothing Yahoo.

And they're all going, well, we could do this when reality of history says it ain't going to be easy.

But if you're going to try, go ahead and look where we are today.

So.

Earl Ingram

So the fact that we are in a quagmire is safe to say we're in a quagmire.

Because they're winning it, too.

Oh, absolutely.

And so.

They didn't figure.

One of the major issues that occurred under this leadership and with what people are, what's being a nation is dealing with is the fact that we had a man come in.

Not just the president, but heck Steph.

Who came in and looked at the joint chiefs and said, Hey.

You don't look like a soldier to

me.

Earl Ingram

You got to you got to lose 30 pounds, right?

He's He's looking at joint chiefs are there Robert for for reasons and the joint chiefs who have have stirred the test of time through different presidential regimes is because of their knowledge

of just what you were talking about.

Exactly.

With Iran, knowing the history, knowing all of those things.

So the presidents wouldn't make a foolish move.

Right.

That would draw us into what we are dealing with right now.

Right.

So what did he do?

He got rid of Joint Chiefs.

He's getting rid of all of the generals and admirals that they say are woke.

Right.

In other words,

All of the military strategists and brilliance, the people who have been in wars, understand combat, know the history of war in a certain country, understand

Earl Ingram

the

doctrines, been in wars.

Right.

They're just getting rid of them, firing them and then filling that vacuum with inexperienced people, which is weakening our command structure in the American forces, weakening it.

Yeah, but it isn't about making the military stronger.

It's about making the military more subservient to one man and that's the president of the United States.

Earl Ingram

So Robert, the reason that I wanted to have this conversation with you about where we are is because it's not getting better.

And then this morning,

I was reading where Iran says now we're going on the offensive.

Right.

Oh, they're stepping

it up.

Yeah.

OK.

Earl Ingram

Wait a minute.

We can't leave up Lotilla out there forever.

You know, we got all those ships and planes and and and because right now there is no end to that.

And so how long can we leave them there?

Iran understands and knows They're in our backyard.

Yeah, if we were in their backyard We'd be the ones Iran talking now.

Yeah, we're halfway around the world.

We can't sustain that.

That's a serious serious logistical issue You know fueling those ships

Supplying those ships, rearming those ships, personnel changes.

The

Earl Ingram

logistics is a

nightmare to sustain something.

Earl Ingram

And of

course.

And the fact that now many of the bases around there are targets of Iran and have been hit.

And you add on the fact.

that those countries who has those US bases are now concerned about being hit by Iran and are now limiting the US ability to use those bases adds more stress to the supply chain, to the logistics of keeping a fleet or two in that area.

And also, it's not only Iran.

that poses a threat to the fleet.

It's Yemen.

And they're a coastal country with missile batteries on the coast that could easily target the fleet.

So there's a reason why, yeah, we got a blockade, they say, about around the strait of the most, but it isn't as tight as it could be.

They could get closer, but they understand getting closer.

puts them in more risk and in a very serious range of a lot of those ship-killing missiles.

Earl Ingram

So let me ask you, man.

You're a Vietnam veteran who was wounded?

No.

I mean, the war.

Lebanon.

Lebanon.

They were Lebanon.

That was wounded?

No.

Oh, you were wounded.

Okay.

But here's why all of this discussion is so important.

Because we've been covering up the amount of

Servicemen who've been wounded right okay, and and that means the ones that are on base on the basis Okay, they're basic basically sitting ducks right and so you know We can't protect Those those men and women on these bases that are so far from home We just don't have the wherewithal to do it

anymore.

And so I've been reading with the amount of people who've been injured in these attacks on these bases and we've been covering all that up.

Now, veterans, because that's what these young people are going to be at a given point in history, they're going to be the

veterans

Earl Ingram

and they're going to have to rely on our

VA,

right?

Earl Ingram

And I've been talking with a lot of veterans, man.

Why is it that we thank you very much for your service, sir?

Okay, Robert, thank you.

I'm thanking you for your service.

Listen, man, that doesn't cut it.

Okay, let me let me finish this statement.

We got we have to stop this.

Thank you for your service That listen if you want to thank the veterans for their service we would make sure Number one and I've said this for for decades now any veteran Who's been in the theater of war Should be guaranteed a roof over their heads for the remainder of their lives Okay, I just think

it to send young people halfway around the world.

And you say they're fighting for democracy.

And then they come home and they sleep under bridges and need out of garbage cans is a travesty.

Right.

Okay.

We see it.

And then we don't see it.

I see it.

Right.

I will I choose to see it.

But this

shaking their hand and thank you very much for your service is not sufficient.

For what has happened to people, you were one who.

Well, let me put it in a context of like this.

We're in a country that has what about 340 million people, right?

Total number of people in the military services right now is probably about 2.53 million people, right?

Those individuals.

Every day Understand that They're eventually going to be sent off to die That that can possibly happen that that in the Marine Corps that is a given and in the Marine Corps, you know your basic training is two things Kill or accept the idea that you're gonna die.

Those are the two things

Kill or accept the idea to die because that's what's gonna happen if you get sent in You got people in those services being deployed I was in Beirut and I'm also considered one of those Cold War veterans, right?

We won the cold, right?

You as a young man

Like I was sitting on a ship.

Out in the North Atlantic.

Or in the Mediterranean.

Pondering.

What is going to happen?

To your life.

Every day.

While you're sitting there.

Waiting if something's going to be the order is going to come down to attack.

That throws a lot on your mind.

That's a very serious psychological.

In deep thought.

And in my case, back in 1980, when Anwar Sadat was assassinated, we were off the coast.

of of Egypt.

I was about nineteen, eighteen years old.

I thought this is it.

We're done.

We're going in.

Yeah.

There's nothing like a young man.

Already accepting their death.

And understanding that and understanding that the person next to them is the person they're going to rely on and they are relying on you to keep them alive.

Now you go through that every day thinking like that when you're on deployment.

And then.

After a while.

They come back home.

After putting that person through all that, all those years of that kind of mentality anxiety, you're going to go ahead and not fully support the Veterans Administration to help them with any psychological needs or mental needs or medical needs.

because of what they went through during that service.

What kind of gratitude is being shown to that small percentage of heroes or Americans or warriors who are making that kind of sacrifice for this country?

And here we are over here seeing these politicians doing what they're doing now, talking about the gun up.

improve the VA when they're actually not improving anything.

Earl Ingram

So, so, so, Robert, so one of the reasons why I wanted to talk about this with you is how soon we've forgotten Elon Musk came in, he had his chainsaw.

Yeah.

You remember that?

And he cut

programs.

Yeah.

OK.

people see and so.

And then let me add also, they still trying to cut veterans programs, right?

They're they're lying.

They're lying about improving it.

But they're actually really hurting it because there's a bill that was just defeated not long ago.

The Save the Veterans Act or something like that.

They say it was going to improve veterans' benefits and stuff like that.

It's a lie.

It was all a lie.

And the veterans of foreign wars, the disabled veterans of America, many of the major veteran groups, longtime veteran organizations, came out against it.

The only ones that were for it were these pop-up veteran groups that were aligned with Republican political...

propaganda, and they were the ones.

But the bottom line is that law basically was going to strip certain benefits from some veterans, from other veterans, to pay another set of veterans.

They were just doing, let's take money from Paul and pay Peter with, you know, and if Mary is broke, forget it, you know.

So it was

These guys are playing a Ponzi scheme with the veterans in DC right now.

They're playing a game.

They say they're for the veterans.

They want to help veterans, but they're not doing

Earl Ingram

that.

Well, you know, Robert, this is this is why I began this with saying thank you for your service.

It's not adequate.

Okay, it's not enough to see a veteran and say thank you for what we should be doing is fighting alongside the veterans.

To make sure that they get.

What's do them?

You can't you can't send.

Young people.

And change their lives forever.

Which is what you do when you those young people who are on the bases in Iraq in Afghanistan right now?

excuse me not not Afghanistan in Iraq, but in the different various theaters Jordan Jordan and those kind of places.

Yes, and those those young people Their lives they're terrified.

They there's nowhere for them to go

OK, they're focused right now on their mission.

They're focused on their job.

But they're sitting ducks, but it becomes it.

Once you have once you have de-escalating yourself, once you have once you have a calm down from that alertness from that from that mission.

There's something happens to you.

because you prepared yourself so much to win or lose.

But they prepared you.

Earl Ingram

The government has prepared you.

They prepared

you so much to win or lose that when you come down, it's not just something that goes away.

You know, to this day, I still have my nightmares about what happened over there at the barracks.

You know, I still.

get pictures of those guys who were being pulled out of those.

Rubble after the bombing.

I still.

I was about a mile away from the bombing, but I could still feel the impact.

I could still smell.

To this day, I smell that.

You know, so people understand.

that when a veteran comes back, he doesn't come back the way he went in.

He come back a very different person.

And it is required that that veteran should be given a place where the people who are treating him understand what he or she has gone through.

Because they have mostly military doctors and military veterans dealing with veterans.

They understand each other very well.

They know what to look for.

Earl Ingram

They know

what they they like going to freighter.

You know, is this is there's a different kind of mentality going here.

Earl Ingram

So so so Robert, I just think that people should be made aware.

that the Veterans Administration is, you know, at some point better than it was before, but not acceptable.

Right, it's not acceptable because of cuts that have taken place in the long periods of time that people who need to get things done have to wait.

Okay, if we if we want to say thank you to the veterans then we make sure that congressmen and senators understand That that what they should be doing is supporting the veterans right, okay Pat and somebody on the back.

Thank you very much doesn't change their dynamic.

Yeah, okay, and so

You know benefits at Pizza Hut isn't gonna cut it.

Earl Ingram

No, he's just not man.

And so people need to understand That is as and they're talking about a draft

That's gonna kick in in December.

It's uh, it's not a draft per se like right, but it's more of an automatic You get put into the selective service automatically, okay?

And so it isn't like you going in and volunteer or putting fill it out.

No, you automatically now.

Earl Ingram

Okay.

So so so what I'm saying is with that, along with that change, this should be a change.

At the same time, in the way of the better.

Would you say would you say that would make sense?

Oh, yeah, you think so.

Look, you're asking America's sons and daughters.

to go into harm's way so that markets around the world open to the American business.

That's what it's about, man.

It's pretty much it, right?

So, you know, if we're going to send people to war so that our energy supplies don't cause our gas prices to rise so that our grocery supplies don't go up.

So that I'll be able to sell their stuff in other countries and not be stopped You got to reward those individuals because now it's no longer about Defending the nation It's more about pushing an economic agenda and if you're gonna push an economic agenda

then the people who should be paying the most for that are the corporations and the billionaires who are benefiting the most.

And if we're gonna, you know, this guy wants to pay for our military, he's got a budget now looking at about 1.5 trillion.

At least 75% of that should be paid by all the billionaires and all the major corporations.

Because they're

Earl Ingram

the ones

benefiting the biggest.

That's true.

You know.

And they should be paying for that.

And making sure that those veterans who come back from their wars, because it ain't our war.

You know, Russia didn't invade California.

China sure ain't landing in New York.

Somebody ain't attacking us, but we're attacking.

Why?

Because Iran had nuclear.

Wink, wink.

No.

We got into Iran like we went into Iran back in the 1950s, and that was because we want to influence and control their oil.

That's the only reason.

Earl Ingram

So is this anti-democracy, this conversation you're now having?

No, it's common sense.

You know, the right wing radicals, the magas will say it's anti-American.

But it's common sense, you know anybody with half a brain can see That you know what happened in Vietnam wasn't about the Gulf of Tongan The history shows that was a war that we didn't have to be in You know what happening in Iran?

Isn't about nuclear just like what happened in Iraq wasn't about weapons of mass destruction, you know people get played and Then they then they listen to people

who wrapped themselves up in the flag and say patriotic things and Then everything goes by and then the people who went to fight the people who got harmed the people who were whose lives were impacted Come back from those wars and wind up under a Vita living in a cardboard box That's that's an injustice That's an injustice

If we're going to be fighting corporate wars, and there's a book that's a really good book that was written by a major general, his name was Schmetley D. Butler.

And the book is called War is a Racket.

And that book was written in like the 1930s, and he called it right on the spot.

Whatever you, when you read that book, you'll see what happened back then was still going on today.

Earl Ingram

So, so Robert, we're going to have to leave it there, man, for now.

But we're definitely going to continue.

You know, our open dialogues and I'm so happy to have you back me.

Well, it's good to be back and it's always great to see you.

Earl Ingram

So that's a wrap for what's going on with Earl Ingram.

See you next time.

All right.
