Two women running for Polk County Board were shocked to see letters mailed to voters that lied about and smeared them. Now it’s been discovered the local Republican Party was behind it and faces possible action from the state Ethics Committee for failing to disclose the spending. It’s not the only time local Republican parties have disregarded the rules.
