The Todd Allbaugh Show · Mon Oct 13, 2025
From the Civic Media World Headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin, it's the Todd Alba Show.
And now, pursuing truth wherever it may lead, here's your host, Todd Alba.
Come see what the Brewers are doing.
Come monitor a superstar.
Be a believer in Brewer Beaver.
It's fun to join in the cheerin'.
Stomp your feet, clap your hands.
You're part of the team sittin' in the
stands.
Across Wisconsin on the Civic Media Radio Network and streaming worldwide on the Civic Media app.
Good afternoon, everybody.
Tom along with our producer and engineer, Mr. Aaron Zomer on the board.
It is Monday back to work and in some cases back to school on this October 13th, 2025.
It is a great day to be a Wisconsinite.
Welcome in everybody at the World Headquarters of Civic Media, downtown Madison at the intersection of state and fair child, cloudy skies right now.
But boy.
It feels hot if you're a Brewers fan.
Welcome, everybody, to a celebration Monday.
They did it.
The crew knocked off the Evil Chicago Cubs.
In a division rivalry game, winner takes all on Saturday night.
The Brewers won three to one in advance and will face the Los Angles Dodgers.
in the National League Championship Series starting later on tonight on many of these fine stations of the Civic Media Ready Network.
Good afternoon, everybody.
Zombers, how the heck are
you?
You know, we came in with the song Brewer Fever, and I most definitely also have it.
And now we have, facing off, the team that I most want to win, Brewer's obviously, versus the team that I most want to lose because they just have so much money.
And that makes me, you know,
I think just throw money at things to win
I
think a lot of
people feel that way and and a lot of fact toys will get you later on in the show but the The entire payroll here's one to start with the entire payroll the camera is moving what's going on Did you do that?
Literally for those watching the stream suddenly my camera came down better that than my pants
It's fine.
It's fine.
It's fine.
It's just I don't know it like it was like electronically moving down because I had it Oh Osamrs knows what it is.
All right.
He's gonna and he's gonna fix it anyway It was and here's a here's a factoid for you that the entire salary of the Brewers pitching staff the entire actual salary is smaller than the taxes paid
by the Los Angeles Dodgers teams.
I find that absolutely fascinating, slightly disturbing, but it's a David and Goliath type of a matchup, and our very own Dan Schaefer, our political editor and founder of the Reconbibulation Area, he has coined this phrase, and I'm going to give Schaefer credit.
Dan Schaefer is calling it on the Reconbibulation Area, glitz.
Versus schlitz.
I love that.
That's amazing.
Nicely done, Dan Schafer.
Glitz versus schlitz.
It all kicks off later on tonight.
First game of the NLCS against the Dodgers.
Pre-game show starts at 6.30.
First pitch from Ampham Field.
Just after 7 o'clock, you could hear it live.
on WRCE and Richland Center, WISS in Oshkosh, WCQM in Park Falls, WBZH in Hayward, check local listings by Believous also on WRJN, RACINE and Kenosha Station as well.
So for that, you have to listen to it, of course, over the air, streaming rights are belong to Major League Baseball.
But if you live in one of those communities, you can watch it or pardon me You can listen live over the air on those stations on the Brewers radio network.
The game is being televised on TBN TBN or TBS.
Sorry TBS And here's the good news after a novice, you know, you're kind of forcing different watching on TV Listening to the announcers Not my favorite guys on TBS for the NLDS, but here's the great news
I mean, first and foremost, listen to it on the Brewer's radio network.
But if you're going to watch on TBS, the good news is Brian Anderson, B.A., the normal, fan-dual, uh, announcer for the Brewer's television network, he is going to be the play-by-play announcer for TBS, for the NLCS.
You still got to put up with Ron Darling on the Color Analyst.
So better if you can't I know it doesn't always match up, but listen to the brewers radio network guys and watch on TBS So I'm excited somers.
It's great Finally, we broke that little mini curse there of not winning a post game series and the brewers are on Let's go back to 81.
Let's go back to 81 somers.
Uh, here is the late great Bob Hucker on the to get us ready to get us in the mood Here's Huck's call the first time
The Brewers made the postseason in 1981.
People forget, they went to the postseason in 81, they faced the New York Yankees, took it to seven games in New York before losing.
They missed the World Series by one game and got there the next year in 82.
Here's Uke's call in 81, the first time the Brewers got to the playoffs.
The
arm is back, here he comes, one, two.
Swing and a back!
Division
Championship.
Bob Uker's call on the Brewer Radio Network from 1981, the first time the Brewer's got to the postseason.
Much more about this in just a bit.
Gonna be following it through this entire National League Championship Series.
Our great sports reporter Mike Clemens was there on Saturday.
Gonna play with some of the cuts that he provided us.
He's gonna continue to be on the ground through this series as well.
By the way, coming up at the bottom of this hour, our friend, our colleague, co-host of Matt and Air On Air, Jane Matt and Air will be here just after the bottom of the hour.
Cannot wait for Mondays with Matt and Air.
Gonna talk a little bit about Brewer Fever with her.
And also, it is a, that's why I said at the top of the show, back to school for some.
It is a holiday today.
Now, do you call it Columbus Day?
Do you call it Indigenous People's Day?
Can't can we agree that maybe just maybe you can give the credit to the founders?
Not so much to Columbus, baby, but the founders you can say look they were very courageous and did a good job while also saying You know we have some work to do as a country So we'll talk about that with Jay Mattener and much much more Always fun always feel better after we have a visit from Jay Mattener and then an hour two at the top of the three o'clock hour just thereafter
Sean Hannish, one of the producers of the great new film, No Packers, No Life.
If you're watching on the stream, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter X, I've got the movie poster behind me again today.
We are going to be at the world premiere in Waukesha on Wednesday to do this show.
You could be with us.
Gonna give away two tickets to the VIP world premiere performance for this Wednesday.
Gonna do a call-in trivia thing.
So be with us in hour two.
And if you are a winner, you could be joining me and others at the world premiere of No Packers, No Life.
Still a few tickets left, although Sean will update us in hour two.
You can purchase them.
Part of it goes to the proceeds go to the Boys and Girls Club of Wisconsin at nopackersnolife.com.
And then the movie goes in a wider distribution in Wisconsin at Marcus Theaters.
We'll talk about that.
in hour two.
First, a couple of newsy headlines for you.
Lots going on.
Busy Monday.
Earlier today, local time, President Donald Trump was in Israel.
Speaking before the Knesset, the legislative body of Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was there, and the surviving hostages, Israeli hostages, have been released.
And then Trump went to Egypt and has signed a ceasefire deal.
Look, we're not gonna get deep into international affairs, but I think it's worth mentioning.
And look, is someone clearly not a fan of Trump?
I don't know all the details, how intimately he was involved in this, but I will get, if he was, and it appears in some way, shape, or form he was, for the right reasons.
I think that's up for debate, and I'll tell you why in a second, but I will say this.
If I was a brother or a parent, a friend of any of these hostages, I would not have cared how they got out, how they got released.
So I think we need to look at it through that context, through the families and friends of these surviving hostages.
They're just glad that it happened, right?
And so for that, I'm thankful.
I'm thankful the hostages have been reunited with their family and friends.
And like I say, if Trump or his administration had literally something to do with it, I give them credit for that.
I do think that going over and making it a spectacle and making it all about Trump today is the wrong thing to do.
Look when Jimmy Carter brought about the peace accords of the Middle East.
downplayed it in terms of his own importance.
Whether you think that it was the Carter administration or the incoming Reagan administration that had something to do with the release of the Iranian hostages in 1980 or a combination of both, neither Carter nor Reagan flew over there and made it, they welcomed them home when they got on US soil.
And the fact that Trump went over there and apparently has been reporting now that Trump did a low flyover of Israel
on his way over to Egypt to get applause from Israelis, in my opinion, it was self-aggrandizing.
And I think that part of it is wrong, and also we're not gonna go into it deeply now, but also I think it has to be mentioned that whether it was Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law, other his administration have made hundreds of millions, and in Kushner's case, billions, with a B,
From being involved with everyone from the Saudis to the Israelis the Qataris And as her old friend Jack O'Neill my professor at Platteville was fond of saying it all comes down to the dollar sign So I think the motivations to do this on behalf of Trump and his closest associates was self-serving now the outcome Again in terms of am I grateful for this for the survivors of the families.
Yes, if a ceasefire could hold
Great.
I think there's a lot of people in Gaza and Palestine who say, really, it took this long to get that, but we'll continue to follow that news as well.
Out in Washington, DC, day 13 of the government shutdown.
No resolution to the crisis in sight.
According to Punchball News, the house is not in session this week.
The Senate returns tomorrow night.
What is going on in DC?
And it looks like the tide is kind of turning.
There are some Republicans in DC now who are saying, yeah, the polls don't look great for us.
Maybe we should actually try to do something.
We'll come back, talk more, a little bit more about that.
And also play you a couple of brewers cuts.
From that big win over the Cubs on Saturday, and Jane McNair comes on after Pam Yankee, the day could not be bigger.
So glad that you're along to start your work week with us.
It's the Todd Alvall Show across Wisconsin on the Civic Media Radio Network.
We're ever if they lead and having fun doing it.
Welcome back to the town of all show on the civic media.
We're Xomers on the board.
Twenty two now past the hour of two o'clock busy Monday on this nationally championship series kickoff Monday.
The brew crew taking on the Dodgers later on tonight.
Talk more about that in just a bit.
Finishing up news headlines of the weekend today.
Latest headlines, of course, President Donald Trump and Israel earlier than flying to the middle to Egypt.
The remaining.
Living hostages Israeli hostages have been released by Hamas And at least a ceasefire has been signed in Egypt.
I was saying before the break Look, I'll give credit to Trump and his administration if he legit had something to do with this and it looks like perhaps he did The motivations for that is what disturbs me the self-aggrandizing speech before the kinesit flying over there
Doing this low fly of Air Force one to literally get applause Bad taste of my mouth, but again from the standpoint of the families and friends of the hostages They don't care about any of that They just wanted their love loved ones returned a 5 5 7 5 2 4 8 4 2 Let's go quickly to dick in Madison listening on WM DX dick.
Thanks for listening.
What say you?
Well something quick to that and then something from the sports world
Yeah, and then him lobbying and saying that Netanyahu should be pardoned, pardoned from what?
Right.
You're pardoned.
That means you did something, correct?
Right.
And that's when the big thing, the big bugaboo over there in Israel that they said they're part of the reason that Netanyahu did not want an end to this war was because he faced these charges of his own similar but different to Trump did here and that he'd be out of power.
And that he maybe even was somewhat palpable because of, uh, well, we won't go into
all of
that.
But from the sports world, uh, have you heard this?
I told John and Gordy this morning, um, the Badger football team, they're, um, they're going to put into the transfer portal and they want to transfer to division two.
That's really good.
I mean, I, it's sad.
But good, yeah, we're well, we'll
get
into the Badger athletics in our two Badgers had a devastating, demoralizing loss of getting here to Iowa at home over the weekend.
Thirty seven to nothing.
Second worst
loss
to Iowa ever.
First shutout in Camp Randall in like 50 plus years.
Look on the hot seat and Charles Frank or Charles Franklin, would that be something?
Franklin, the coach at Penn State, fired.
Uh, nobody saw that
coming.
Yeah.
Well, quickly though, I mean, here's the thing with this situation here, right?
I'm not laughing or I don't want to get the higher of, um, Barry Alvarez.
I'm not booing because I'm not about the biggest Homer you could get.
But there is one other caveat to this too, this moving to division two.
They will not be playing whitewater.
No, because they're division three.
No, that's right.
But yeah, you're right.
But I don't know at this point.
That was as bad as it gets Saturday.
It was terrible.
It was terrible.
We'll talk more about the Badgers in hour two.
As always, thanks, Dick.
I appreciate you calling quickly to Charles in Milwaukee listening on WAUK.
Charles, you want to weigh in on the situation in the Middle East?
If you could quickly, please, sir.
Go ahead.
Hey, Todd.
Yes.
Glad that the remaining living hostages are.
back with their families.
But this deal could have been worked out when Biden was in office.
BB Nanyahu decided not to and I believe that all has to do with he's a crook.
Trump is a crook.
He know that Trump would have his back for him not to go to jail if he lost an election.
It all stinks to high heaven.
Outside effect that the hostages
I will be going home to their families, but the rest of it though, it's
foul.
It's foul of the money.
No, I appreciate the call, Charles, as always.
Thank you very much.
I said that earlier that I think a lot of it, unfortunately, does come down to money.
I don't disagree with Charles.
I think that Netanyahu probably wanted to get this done if it was going to happen with Trump and not give Biden an in there.
Just my opinion.
All right, let's go.
Give these highlights quick.
Before we go to the farm news then Jane McNair coming on and we'll ask her again kind of the flavor of Milwaukee and in the southeast, Wisconsin This on Saturday is how the crew started out Jeff levering on the call on the Brewers radio network when Wild Bill came to the plate
Pomerance deals fly ball left center Crow Armstrong is on the move.
He's running out of room.
It's gone
William Contreras gives the Brewers a 1-0 lead on his second home run of the
series.
How about that?
Wild Bill Contreras starting it off and, uh, uh, Crow Armstrong tried to act like he's gonna catch that.
I mean, it was way up on the scoreboard.
It wasn't gonna happen.
All right.
Forward to the fourth inning, Lane Grindel on the call on the Brewers' ready network as King Andrew Vaughn came to the plate in the fourth.
In the pitch, Shana drive out to left.
It is back.
Hap at the track at the wall.
By, by, baseball!
Long live Andrew Vaughn!
The Brewers take a 2-1
lead here in the fourth.
Lane Grindel on the call once again in the seventh as Bryce Terrang came to the plate.
Here's the pitch.
And Terrang a fly ball to center.
Crow Armstrong's back at the track.
It is gone!
How about
that got the October baseball shirt on today the Brewers take care of business and the Cubs And they were packed ready to go Los Angeles the Cubs were instead they took the short drive
back down to Chicago, unless you're Craig Council, who still has a place in Milwaukee, I guess.
We'll talk with Jane McNair on the other side.
What's the feeling like in Milwaukee?
And on this rather now seemingly odd holiday, do we still call it that?
How is history taught?
Back in the day with Jane and I were going through school, and how should it be taught now in terms of civics?
We'll talk about that with Jane McNair and much more.
Right now, stay tuned for Farm News, the Midwest Farm Report with the great Pam Yankee.
You're listening to the All Ball Show for a Monday across Wisconsin on the Civic Media Ready Network.
Welcome
back
to
the Tahleville show of the Civic Media already network now 35 minutes past the hour of two o'clock on Monday the 13th October 2025
Great to have you along, coming up in our two, Sean Hannish, one of the producers of the new film, No Packers No Life Will Be Here, gonna give away two VIP tickets to that world premiere event in Waukesha, but right now, our own star.
of Southeast Wisconsin Broadcasting.
Walkishaw in particular Milwaukee.
She can be heard every morning along with her co-host Greg Bach on matineeir on air from 9 until 11 across the Civic Media Ready Network.
The one, the only Jane Matineeir.
Jane, how are
you?
I am well, my friend.
How about
yourself?
Now that you're here, I'm always great.
It's just, I love this segment
now because it's like if I get to start my week this way.
Well, we get to hang out a little bit and chat.
Right?
That's the whole point of the segment.
Well, it's great to have you along.
Exciting times.
I got my October baseball shirt on.
Brewers played off a, pulled off a great victory against the Cubs on Saturday.
The first game of the NLCS starts tonight at Amfam Field in Milwaukee across several of our stations.
It starts at 630 at the pregame show, 708 for the first pitch from Amfam.
What's the flavor?
What's what's the read of the room, as they say?
Our Milwaukeeans in particular, just excited as heck.
Oh, people are over the moon.
Absolutely.
People are very, very excited.
Again, if we talk about my partner, Greg Bach, he is excited and hopeful and filled with dread at the same time.
Because again, you know, you get your hopes up and your hopes are dashed.
But now there's a lot of excitement to see them overcome what seemed to be a big sticking.
spot for them the last few years.
So it was nice to see them overcome that and get here.
I also know that, um, at least from folks that I've spoken to, no offense, Illinois, but no one is sad to see you go and the way you drive.
Just going to throw that out there.
It was noticed your driving habits.
Yeah, I'm not good.
Driving on the shoulder is naughty.
Shame on you, people.
Shame on
you.
Our own Dan Schaefer, political editor and founder of the Reconpopulation area.
I believe he coined this.
I gotta give him credit.
He is calling it the Dodgers versus the Brewers, the Glitz versus Schlitz series.
Oh, I like it.
Right?
Yeah,
that's great.
That's great.
Well, we are the scrappy, you know,
underpaid, underloved, you know, small market team, and the Dodgers have all the money in the world, and they're on the coast, and so... World
Stories Champions!
Yeah, whatever.
No, it's gonna be a very exciting series, and I think something that Greg pointed out, and I obviously don't follow a lot of sports writers and things like that, but my goodness, people...
the level of vitriol from Cubs fans towards the Brewers now as they move on.
Come on, you guys.
It's sports balls.
Relax.
Get a pet.
Don't do something.
Start knitting.
I don't know.
You need a hobby.
I think having Craig counsel go from the brewers, basically for the cash to Chicago, also just put gasoline on this whole rivalry.
And I think that makes it salty, too.
But I think it's, look, the Cubs are a good team.
And I think the fact that they do go back, that it's not lopsided, that's part of what makes it a real rivalry, because you don't know who's going to come out on top.
Well, absolutely.
And I was delighted to see Ms.
Have a good night.
And after, you know, they were dumb.
Again, you're so mean people.
It's a game.
So I was glad to see him.
Have a good night and just to see the team get this far.
It's fabulous.
It's wonderful.
It's all good, everyone.
Enjoy it.
Enjoy the ride.
Dodgers at Milwaukee tonight, 6.30 pre-game.
First pitch just after seven o'clock on many of our stations, RCE Richland Center, ISS Oshkosh, CQM in Park Falls, BZH in Hayward, and Jane Creppy, if I'm wrong, but I believe RJN and Racine Kenosha also carrying that.
That is correct.
All right, sounds good.
Let's change gears a little bit.
It is the the 13th of October, Monday.
It is a holiday.
Can you speed on Columbus Day?
I guess for some people, it still is Columbus Day.
Then it went to Indigenous Peoples Day.
Do you celebrate this, Jane?
Do you talk about it?
We can always have honest conversations with you, but I don't know what are your first thoughts?
I have never had a Columbus Day tree.
I've never done a Columbus Day.
Anything.
I don't even have a centerpiece for the table, Todd.
No China.
No special placemats.
What's wrong with me?
No, this isn't something... But again, and I... I understand...
our native peoples dismay with a celebrating Columbus.
I understand that.
At the same time, we fight over things sometimes when there are so much bigger problems to be dealt with firsthand that we could actually do something about.
That being said, I think one side is very actively attempting to rewrite past wrongs.
And that's not healthy, and that's not healthy for any society.
Do we raise our kids like that to pretend you did something bad last week, and now we're just going to pretend it never happened?
I think that's a great question.
There's a great story in the Wisconsin Examiner last week, and encourage people to check that out.
Before I get into that for a second, you brought up earlier folks from Illinois.
And for me, and you tell me if you think this is too far or whatever, but I thought about the Columbus data Columbus gets the credit for quote-unquote discovering America discovering discover which I think is a surprise to the people who are already here It's kind of like here's here's the analogy I have Every summer people have that live in places like
Wausau, where we have WXCO, Hayward, where you and I and Greg have been at WBZH in Park Falls, WSTQM.
These folks live there.
And then they get invaded for better or worse for people from Illinois.
And people from Illinois come up and say, oh my gosh, look at this lake.
Look at these stars.
I didn't know this existed.
And people in the north, in the part of Wisconsin say.
This is literally how we live every day.
Nobody discovered us.
The people from Illinois never did discover us.
And I think it's kind of the same thing for native folks who are like, yeah, this is where we live.
And now you're coming from Europe and discovering us?
Well, yeah, exactly.
And I think that happened in Lake Geneva, actually, with Illinois.
They all went there and said, oh, my God, we're the first ones here.
I'm pretty sure.
But yes, and for another thing, Columbus just happened to crash into something.
It's he was kind of going in the wrong, you know, so it was more luck.
that he crashed into what he crashed into.
But yes, I mean, you can say the same thing about New Zealand.
You can say the same thing about a lot of island populations.
They were there before white people were there.
That's essentially what it comes down to.
They existed.
These civilizations existed.
There's archaeological evidence for this.
Right.
We're talking with Jay Mattener, co-host of Mattener on air every morning to cross civic media from 9 until 11.
Jane, this Wisconsin examiner story entitled Trump undertakes a mugout makeover of U.S.
Senate civics education.
Just read a couple of lines.
A slew of conservative groups will lead a new coalition to spur civics education and push the push the subject in a more patriotic direction.
The U.S.
Department of Education announced last month raising alarms for some traditional civics education groups that were not included in the initiative.
The American First Policy Institute, a think tank with close ties to the president, is organizing and coordinating the, quote, America 2,250 civics education coalition, unquote, made up of more than 40 national and state-based groups, including the Heritage Foundation and Turning Points USA.
The basic gist of the story for our listeners is that to your earlier point,
I'm gonna use the term whitewash.
I want to say it is to go in and say look America's wonderful Don't talk about all these terrible things that we slaughtered a bunch of NATO not we but our forebearers Slaughtered a bunch of NATO Americans don't talk about the fact that black folks were taken from Africa and put here and change and slavery Don't talk about that America is great Jane.
I would argue that what makes America great is
is our continual self-examination to do better, to say that some things are true, that we got it right at the beginning, but the fact that we keep challenging ourselves, that's part of what makes America great.
Jane, what do you say?
You're absolutely right, Todd.
And who is it that said the whole beauty?
I love my country because I criticize it.
Because, again, yes, it's the ability to have...
to self-examine and look at things that were done wrong, that people that we wronged.
Good heavens, if we're going to claim to be based on Christian values, then self-reflection is part of that.
And why?
We're just going to pretend that all these things didn't happen.
We're just going to... It blows my mind that we are going to go through the Smithsonian.
headed by someone like our current president, who I would bet money has never been in a museum in his entire life, unless it was there to get free or durves for something.
That he is not a museum goer, he doesn't, he's not a historian.
And the fact that we're gonna have people capitulate to his idea of history,
or Prager University, which is another.
And then we can talk about Ryan Walters in Oklahoma, who is the superintendent of schools there.
And this is a very concerted efforts by the authors of Project 2025, which Heritage, the Heritage Foundation was heavily involved in, to do exactly that, to rewrite history and to teach our children that we never did anything bad and you should never question anything.
that we did in the past.
And that is very dangerous.
I don't know when you were going through school,
but I mean, we were talking, you know, we were talking Christopher Columbus and the Nina Pinta and the Santa Maria.
And I think it's fine to still talk about that and teach that in schools.
But then alongside that, I happen to believe you should also say, yeah, that happened.
And
That was part of Easter or Europeans quote-unquote discovering or finding what was already here, but let's not forget the folks who are already here
and the fact that some really bad things happened to them because of European ancestry.
It doesn't mean that, you know, everybody white today is a terrible person.
It just means we need to acknowledge why currently, in my opinion, you have people from Indigenous Peoples, Native Americans who might be a little salty about that history and we should understand why.
Without a doubt.
Again, I don't understand where this self-reflection is a terrible thing.
and we should never look at our behaviors as being questionable or perhaps wrong.
When did we ever, now we're, that's a very, again, is this how we're gonna raise our kids?
No, you have Billy, you have never done anything wrong except for last week when you set the cat on fire, but we're gonna pretend that didn't happen and just move on and say you were a good boy.
And there will be no consequences for that either.
Yeah, absolutely.
That's not
right.
Not right at all.
What is right is listening to J. Matt Nair every morning.
We'll come back and talk with her more on the other side.
It's the all-ball show along with Matt Nair on the Civic Media.
Ready to work.
It's a jazz party of talk and entertainment.
Every morning from 9 until 11 on Matt Nair on air, you can hear it on the Civic Media Radio Network with Greg Bach and our current guest this half hour, the co-host, the one, the only, Jane Matt Nair.
Jane, lots to get to, a short time to get there, as they say.
If you're, maybe the Dodgers saw this as they flew into General Mitchell Field in Milwaukee this weekend, this is an actual video.
Released by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem made sure this was being played on all TSA television monitors across our nation's airport this weekend.
I'm Kristi Noem, the United States Secretary of Homeland Security.
It is TSA's top priority to make sure that you have the most pleasant and efficient airport experience as possible while we keep you safe.
However, Democrats in Congress refuse to fund the federal government.
And because of this, many of our operations are impacted, and most of our TSA employees are working without pay.
We will continue to do all that we can to avoid delays that will impact your travel.
And our hope is that Democrats will soon recognize the importance of opening the government.
There's something called the Hatch Act, which we don't have time to do a deeply, but basically prohibits a government resource from taking a partisan political stance.
Thoughts?
Oh, good heavens.
The first time around, he used what used to be the Rose Garden for a photo opportunity to announce the second campaign.
So I don't please.
I mean, he's been violating the Hatch Act since his under his first administration.
What else is new?
So he did this.
So what?
Who's going to do anything about it?
I
don't do anything,
but I do hope that Wisconsin voters keep these things in mind.
Again, is it going to change the world to know by just if yet another example of the Trump administration using federal resources, all of our tax dollars to.
do partisan political work.
But I think for for his dedicated followers.
Oh, sure.
This is why they love him.
Yeah.
For the 35 percent of voters out there.
He's authentic.
All right.
I could fill that in with lots of blanks, but I won't.
From
CBS News down again, don't not enough time to get into all the atrocities happening in Chicago amongst them 15 year old girls, US citizen being.
basically kidnapped by ICE before finally being released.
But here's one.
An employee of WGN Television was released without charges after she was arrested by ICE agents on Friday in the Lincoln Square neighborhood.
Debbie Brockman apparently saw US ICE officers detaining a man and somehow got involved basically by filming it.
She
The ice instead that she had thrown objects in a patrol car so she gets arrested a paraphrasing now Several people recorded this she was released and again I said nope no charges because she actually didn't do anything right
and this is I Don't know what kind of social media folks follow But if you were on what used to be Twitter there are examples of this all over the place of ice
basically committing crimes, it seems to me, and demanding people's paperwork, which most of us aren't required to carry.
And again, where are the consequences?
You see Kristi Noem.
Where is Kristi Noem?
Their whole thing is attacks against ICE agents have gone up a thousand percent.
Well,
The last time I checked which was probably about three months ago Yes, they were up a thousand percent because now they were when when the percentages to It doesn't take a lot to get up to a thousand percent Why are we okay with unidentified armed masked men Abducting people off the streets
I don't understand why this is okay, and I think this is conditioning us to get more widespread.
No, I do.
I don't disagree.
Trig V. Olsen, who has actually fought authoritarianism in Eastern Europe, was on this show last week, and he basically agrees with you.
This
is
a conditioning.
They're setting the table for next Saturday for the No Kings marches.
They are.
They're setting the table.
Go
ahead, yeah.
They're setting the table to...
to infer that the people who are protesting on No King's Day are being paid off.
And our Marxist terrorists, communists, feminists, all paid by George Soros, apparently, there are a lot of people waiting for checks.
Zomers, how long is that Duffy
clip?
Do we have time for that?
Which clip?
The Sean Duffy clip, when he was talking about No King's protest.
We have
time for that, but not much else.
All right, let's not do it then.
But the point is, because I want to get Jane's thoughts on it,
Sean Duffy for Wisconsin congress but now transportation secretary to Jane your point goes on national news and it is calling a First Amendment right to peacefully protest and associated that with Antifa and the far left and communism and Hamas and There's there's there's no
evidence of
that
No
But again, that hasn't seemed to stop this administration before lack of evidence.
You know, the 2020 was stolen.
Well, no, it actually wasn't, and it's been proved over and over again.
But they get on enough outlets that are repeated on other outlets, and people believe it.
What's coming up on Matt Nairnair this week?
You are coming up tomorrow, by the way.
Thank
you so much.
Todd's going to join us tomorrow after the 9.30 news.
And then we're going to be joined by Will Westmoreland.
who is a farmer in southwestern Missouri, and we are going to talk tariffs and what he is hearing from his colleagues in that part of the country.
Should be interesting.
Should be really great.
You
and Greg do a great job talking to these people who are in the industry, like agriculture, like the military.
And I think those are some of the most...
thought-provoking conversations, important ones you guys have, because it's not people from the quote-unquote left.
These are people that are in the industry who know these things, and you bring these great conversations.
I always enjoy it, and I appreciate you
guys doing that.
Thanks so much, Todd.
That's why we bring in experts these people know of which they speak.
Right.
As does Jane
McNair.
Joined her and Greg every morning from 9 until 11 on the Civic Media Ready Network.
Take care, my friend.
We'll talk to you tomorrow on your show.
Sounds good.
See you then.
Thanks, summers.
Stay tuned.
We have Sean Hannish and give away two tickets to the No Packers No Life movie on the other side.
It's the All Ball show for Monday on the Civic Media Ready Network.
From the Civic Media World Headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin, it's the Todd Alba Show.
And now, pursuing truth wherever it may lead, here's your host, Todd Alba.
Across Wisconsin
on
the Civic Media Radio Network.
and streaming worldwide on the Civic Media app.
Good afternoon, everybody.
Ta-da!
Along with Mr. Aaron Zommers on the board, it is six minutes past the hour of three o'clock on this Monday, October 13th, 2025.
It is a great day to be a Wisconsinite.
Welcome into hour number two of the big broadcast, everybody, from the World Headquarters in downtown Madison at the intersection of State and Fairchild on a partly cloudy day here in Madison, but in our hearts,
It is sunshine and fantastic.
It is NLCS kickoff day.
The Brewers defeated the Cubs.
Moving on.
They take on the evil...
Los Angeles Dodgers tonight and fam pregame show at 6 30 and first pitch just after seven o'clock in Milwaukee.
You can hear it on W R C E and Richland Center.
W I S S and Oshkosh W R J N racing Kenosha W C Q M in Park Falls and W B Z H in Hayward.
Got to be a great game.
Gonna kick it off with a win.
We just got word breaking news from Channel 3000 here in Madison that Aaron Ashby will start game one tonight.
Aaron Ashby on the mound according to Channel 3000.
Joining us via StreamYard, no bigger Brewer fan.
the director and producer of Just Been Outside, the story of the 82 Milwaukee Brewers, and now one of the co-producers of the great new film, No Packers, No Life, which has its world premiere on Wednesday at Waukesha in the Marcus Theater and opens up in select theaters across Wisconsin on Thursday, the one and the only, Sean Hamish.
Sean, how are you?
I'm amazing, Todd.
I mean, I feel like I'm in a vortex of Wisconsin sports right now.
Right.
Yeah.
I mean, we were, I took my son to the Packer game yesterday.
We got that win.
Nice.
We're able to watch.
I can't believe, by the way, nobody had Ashby as the starter of the game, one of the NLCS on their bingo card.
I did not.
Because I
had
heard that it might be Priestard tonight and Freddie Peralta tomorrow.
You know, I will say this.
It sounds like a bullpen game to me.
Right.
But that's OK.
We actually played pretty well in bullpen games.
And
how about the Miz coming on, especially Saturday, getting four more innings out of him.
Incredible, right?
I actually think he could be.
I think we could see Miz three times in the series
in the
same in the same role.
And that's devastating.
I mean, too.
That's an incredible weapon for us to have.
coming out of the bullpen.
It's going to be such a great, such an incredible series.
And it's funny, Todd, I live like nine minutes from Dodger Stadium in Pasadena.
Do you really?
But I'm here, man.
Have
you got
tickets
for any of three or four or five games in LA?
Well, not yet, because I'm here for the premiere of No Packers in a Life Wednesday, and I don't get back till Friday night, but I'm going to game one and game two here.
Fantastic before we move on to Packers our very own Terry Barr watch on YouTube says here's some news you can use Speaking of just a bit outside.
She says I believe mr.. Robin yout is throwing out the first pitch tonight and am fam I know that Sean you and Kelly interviewed Robin as part of the just a bit outside film
Robin is such an incredible person.
Yeah, we did.
He was our first interview for just a bit outside.
And Robin's such a gracious human being and his wife, Michelle, they invited us into their home for that interview.
I don't know, for those of you who remember, that was actually shot in his house.
And, you know, he's become, I mean, I'm probably overstating it to say a friend, but he's a wonderful man.
And he's the all-time brewer.
He's exactly who you should be throwing out the first pitch tonight.
That's such good news.
Quick reminder, just a bit outside, still available on Apple TV, Amazon Prime, Roku, Roku Channel, and now on Tubi.
So check it out, of course, on DVD via Amazon Prime as well.
All right, let's move on to the new film, No Packers, No Life, World Premiere at the Waukesha Theater of Marcus Theater of Waukesha, I should say.
And 5.30, are any tickets still available, any handful still available online or only via
this giveaway?
We have about a dozen left for the world premiere VIP screening Wednesday night.
It's at the Marcus Majestic,
as you said in
Walker Drop.
And it's the VIP reception starts at 5.30.
We're going to have these great Packer players joining us.
We've got Amon Green, Antonio Freeman, George Kuntz.
We've got, oh, I just yesterday met the youngest member of the Japanese Packers cheering team from Tokyo at the Packer game.
He'll be there.
We have the youngest and oldest members of the Japanese Packers cheering team who obviously are featured in this film, No Packers, No Life.
So it's going to be an amazing event.
Todd, I know you're going to be there.
We're so excited.
The film is so fun.
It's funny and it's so full of joy.
I think everybody's going to do it.
Well, I hope everybody can see it.
Again, go to knowpackersknowlife.com, snatch up one of those tickets.
Yeah, a hundred bucks.
But part of that proceeds goes to the Boys and Girls Club of Wisconsin.
Great organization.
So thank you, Sean, for your philanthropy and you and the rest of the filmmakers on that.
And you can go to the Marcus Theater website to buy tickets in the southeast Wisconsin.
I believe Madison Green Bay and La Crosse, at least initially, to see this film starting this Thursday, correct?
Thursday night, we're having a Q&A at the North Shore in Mequon, you know, near Milwaukee.
That's two-thirds sold out.
Mason Crosby is going to be there, virtually.
And then Friday, we're doing a Q&A in Green Bay with the filmmakers.
And then Saturday, we're doing a big Q&A in Madison at the Point Cinema, which, again, I hope we have sellouts all around.
People are really
Really, I'm so heartened to hear the people are enthusiastic about this movie as enthusiastic as they were for just a bit outside
Yeah, give us the the one minute ninety second synopsis of this film.
No Packers.
No life
Okay, there's a Milwaukee businessman named Ty Ty Morse.
He travels to Japan all the time.
He's been there a hundred times
on one of his visits a few years ago, he was on that big crossing, Shibuya in Tokyo, where, you know, millions of people go through a day.
And he sees a person in a packer jersey.
He'd never seen anybody in Tokyo with a packer jersey on.
And he goes up to him and he says, go, Pat, go.
And the guy goes, go, Pat, go.
And he says, go, Pat, go.
And he goes, go, Pat, go.
He takes Ty to the karaoke bar where everybody in this room of the karaoke bar is in Packers' jerseys.
Like, I'm not, like Reggie White and Brett Farve, you know, Aaron Rodgers, like all of these people from Packer history.
And he doesn't speak that much Japanese.
The Japanese people don't speak much English.
And so they communicated by saying, Donald and the other people would say, driver!
They talk for like 15 minutes, exchanging Packers throughout history.
This is the most fanatical group of Packers fans that maybe exists.
they get together every week to watch the games at like five a.m.
And then every offseason they watch their favorite games from last season so he meets them and then he decides with his buddies in Green Bay to fly them over for their first game at Lambo.
Wow.
And most of them have never been in the United States.
Imagine your first destination being Green Bay, Wisconsin.
And this is the movie.
It's about sharing cultures and the joy and the friendships that evolve.
And really it's about watching the
really the kind of expression of these super fans from Tokyo, honestly, feeling like they've gone to heaven.
So it's a really wonderful story.
It's so joyful.
I can't wait for people to see this movie.
Ty was on the show on Friday.
Thank you for helping set that up.
It was great having him here and to hear that first person.
He'll be on the show hopefully with you on Wednesday when we do our show live for the world premiere on Wednesday.
So here we go.
The filmmakers, including Sean, have been so gracious.
They're going to give away...
a pair of these VIP world premiere tickets.
Caveat, you must be able to go at least get there by six because the reception starts at 5.30, a film slightly around around around seven o'clock.
So as long as you can go this Wednesday, I'm going to give you a trivia question.
Call in and the first person with the right answer wins.
All right.
This weekend, the Green Bay Packers brought in a new kicker.
Lucas have risk it.
Oh, yeah, I'm not sure how you say it have a risky have a risk He made field goals of 43 and 39 yards Afterwards he told our own sports reporter Mike Clemens What job he's been trying to get in Cleveland up until this week What is the job that he was trying to get?
before he got called up by the Packers.
855-752-4842.
855-752-4842.
If you're not watching on the stream, you're missing something, because Sean has a great Packers like Marvel comic mug.
I don't know what it is.
It's fantastic.
It's like a Hulk fist with the Green Bay logo.
What is the job that the new kicker for the Packers, Lucas, have a wrist kick?
was trying to get before he got called up.
855-752-4842.
Let's go to the phone lines.
Troy in Mount Horab, listening on WMDX.
Troy, what is the job that this new Packer kicker was trying to get before he got called up by the Packers this weekend?
He was a substitute teacher.
That is correct.
Troy.
Congratulations.
You've been listening.
You
hesitated for a second.
It scared me.
Well, I was waiting for Zomberist to do the Family Feud Ding.
Clearly, you listened to the station because, yeah, that was what you had to know.
And here, Mike Clemens asking him.
And yeah, he was trying to get a job as a substitute teacher last week.
And he got called up by the Packers and he ends up kicking two field goals at Lambeau Field.
How about that, Sean?
Todd, I'm impressed.
I didn't know that.
I was at the game yesterday, saw this new kicker, and I'm like, well, at least he made them.
That's incredible.
Oh, I'm glad you're coming, Todd.
Come on, say hi.
We were
thinking the same thing in the stands.
Right.
Well, Troy, you could go on Wednesday, I assume.
Yes, sir.
All right.
Well, hang on.
Don't go anywhere.
Zombers will take your information off the air and will get you that information.
So.
John, I cannot wait for this film.
I can't tell people where they can get tickets for both the premiere and the actual release.
Well, the premiere again is this Wednesday with all those great Packer legends and some of the members of the Japanese Packers cheering team.
You can find those tickets on NoPackersNoLife.com.
We've got, I think, just a bit over a dozen left for sale.
And then you can start seeing the movie this Friday.
It's actually not really that limited, Todd.
It's all over the state of Wisconsin.
Oh, really?
Yeah, we're in like we open in 18 theaters.
Wow, that's
fantastic.
All right.
Yeah, no Marcus theaters is amazing.
They believe in this film just like they believe in just a bit outside.
So you can go to the Marcus theaters website, or you can also go to know Packers No Life and we have links to to where you can buy tickets just, you know, we hope everybody can get out there.
It's a lot of
fun.
I do too.
And I thank you guys for for helping produce this film for the distribution because just the trailer alone gave me goosebumps and
And if we ever need a time to just come together as a state right now, whether it's the Brewers or the Packers, those are the things that do.
And again, this lens of looking through things that we love through somebody from a different culture, a different country, I think
that's extraordinary.
It really is.
And again, when I saw this film at the Wisconsin Film Festival in April, I was like, oh, my gosh, this is the feeling that you get.
The people that were there loved it so much.
They're still talking about that screening.
So that's why we wanted to bring it to all like fans around the state because
It's just so much fun to be had watching this film and watching these folks.
Yeah.
It's a good time had by all.
Congratulations to you, the filmmakers, the rest of the producers.
We can't wait to see you down in Waukesha on Wednesday as we do our show there live.
Appreciate your time so much, Sean.
You're a busy guy, but thank you for doing this.
Always, Todd.
Can't wait to see you on Wednesday.
Looking forward to it and go crew tonight.
Woo.
Thanks, John.
Appreciate you.
Sean Hannes, everybody, one of the producers for the new film, No Packers, No Life.
We'll come back, do a little What's Worse with you and talk more.
Packers and Brewers and News.
Oh, my.
It's the Toddled Hubbell Show on the Civic Media, radio network.
I have not heard that song in a long time.
I haven't either, but you gotta go through the doctor-related songs.
Exactly.
There's a point to this that's gonna tell you in a second.
Let me try to guess, because it reminds me of an old high school dance.
Did that song come out in, I'm gonna say, 1980...
six.
88.
Oh, very close.
Oh, I almost said, because I asked you our graduate of high school.
And so I should I should say 88.
Yeah.
I knew it was late 80s.
I should I should have gone in my gut.
Understand.
You got to go with the gut.
Yeah.
Reminds of the old dances and RCHS, which I did not go to a lot of.
Listen to the music, right?
That song, I'm not sure if that was allowed to be played on WRC back in the day.
Do you risqué?
Well, just too hard.
Too hard, too driving.
Maybe at like late night Dave Turk on the board.
Because honestly, God, back in those days, there were some like 45s and albums that said, do not play before 10 p.m.
Nice, nice.
I mean we kind of have some stuff like that here like some stuff for Pete Schwabba's show that's a little bit spicy for 6 a.m.
6 a.m.
Spicy Pete Schwabba by the way can hear him every night from six until eight.
He's spicy is informative.
He's funny Give him a give him a tune in tonight from six until eight Pete Schwabba and nightlight Right here on the civic media ready network all right 24 minutes now past three o'clock time once again for what's worse.
Let's
go
The choice is yours.
You can go with this, or you can go with that.
Time works again for what's worse.
Nothing in way, no prize, money involved.
Just your chance to have your voice heard on all 10 news, talk, and sports stations of the Civic Media Radio Network.
All right, this is very, very good.
Timely indeed, as Mike Lucas says, and Zommer's played that song there, Bad Medicine.
All right, because...
People get in we are the cusp of the cold and flu season you understand so today is what's worse?
in-person visit or telemedicine What's worse an in-person doctor visit or telemedicine?
eight five five seven five two four eight four two eight five five seven five two four eight four two What's worse an in-person doctor visit?
or a telemedicine visit.
In other words, you go to the basically like a Zoom call, you see your doctor on a Zoom.
Very expensive Zoom call.
Right, because sometimes you get a little discount, but not a lot.
So what's worse?
Going to the doctor in person, an in-person visit, or telemedicine.
855-752-4842, 855-752,
4842.
You can also text us on the Civic Media app.

The Civic Media app.
What's worse, an in-person doctor visit.
or telemedicine.
8-5-5-7-5-2-4-8-4-2.
Kurt, listening on WMDX in medicine.
Kurt, in-person visit or telemedicine?
What's worse?
Given my experience, it's telemedicine.
I get my care through the VA.
Oh, nice.
And the triage nurse convinced me to do the tele.
So, though it's really great, and so...
I get the call and I get the doctor.
I don't know what country he was from, but I didn't understand a single word he was saying to me.
And that can be that can be very difficult in person, right?
Let alone trying to understand someone, you know, over over telemedicine.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But with face to face, usually can get someone else involved.
What do you do when you're on the call?
Right.
Right.
Yeah, it's
first of all, thanks for your service, Kurt.
I appreciate that.
But yeah, it's that's that's one of the one of the obstacles, right?
With these telemedical visits, if you have a bad connection or whatever, I mean, and maybe people speak a different first language, which is fine.
But then to say what what I can't, you don't want to be rude.
So yeah, that can be difficult.
What's worse an in-person visit or telemedicine eight five five seven five two four eight four two eight five five seven five two four eight four two PJ watching on the stream via YouTube Says I'd rather see a doctor in person over zoom All right another another vote for what's worse telemedicine eight five five seven five two four eight four two eight five five seven five two four eight four two what's worse in person doc visit
or telemedicine.
John, watching on YouTube, says, this is vastly a different question if a doctor was replaced with a stripper, or so I'm told.
I've never known that to happen, have you?
I know.
No, that
seems odd.
I don't know what to... Yeah, if you have an in-person or a televisit.
That seems very odd.
All right.
I'm sure those would be a very different story.
I
should pre-read those before I just jump right in.
What's worse in person visit or telemedicine's honors?
You know, I think I am gonna go with the majority on this one and say telemedicine is worse just because I feel like it's easy to Forget things and the bad connection can be rough.
It's important that telemedicine exists for people who can't readily get in But I just I'd rather go in person
Yeah, there's a there's a time and place for you said maybe somebody doesn't ever ride or whatever is tough to get there
also difficult to get vaccinated through the screen.
Well, yes, if you need a vaccine, you're going to have to go in.
Or I guess if you need like a medication refilled and you kind of like, you know, see the doctor.
But no, I'm, I, I, I want to, I want to hands on visit.
That's what I'm looking for.
What are the diet?
I mean, look at my actual throat.
Look at my ears, you know.
Tell them you can't see that stuff over the... No, you cannot.
...over the, uh, the telemedicine.
All right, there you go, another edition of What's Worse.
Come on back.
I have a surprise for you regarding no packers in the life, so don't go anywhere.
Uh, farm news is next with the Midwest Farm Report.
It's the all-ball show of the Civic Media Network.
Suede truth wherever if they lead and having fun doing it Welcome back the title ball show on these typically the already network glad to have you a long summers on the board 35 minutes now past the hour of three o'clock on this Monday October 13th 2025 kickoff to the national league championship series for the Milwaukee Brewers Gonna talk a little bit more about that in this half hour a couple of news headlines as well, but first of all just buttoning up
our last segment today is what's worse category having to do with the doctor what's worse in-person visit or telemedicine on the line Ron listening on WAUK in Milwaukee Ron by the way do you know there's a brand new signal not just 5 40 a.m now we have 100.3 FM do you know that Ron
Yeah, I've been experimenting with it.
It works pretty well in some parts of the city, but not others.
Yeah.
When you do, when you do, when you can bring it in, it's better.
It's mainly for the downtown part of Milwaukee.
That's kind of the near west side.
And then you got 540 for the rest of it.
So yeah, it's not, it does have a far reach, but it's important because the 540 just wasn't coming in very well downtown.
So I think this is going to boost us up.
But now there's two great ways to listen to WAUK.
All right, back to the matter of hand, Ron.
In-person visit or telemedicine?
What's worse?
Well, you know,
I'm Mr. The Devil's in the details, as always.
I could tell you that both have their advantages and disadvantages, and it depends a lot on the individual circumstances.
I mean, if you're a senior, you might not understand on your own how to run a Zoom session, get onto a Zoom session, and you may be easily distracted.
I mean, other people are timid and don't like
facing a doctor in person and what that implies.
I would say on the whole I'd much rather go see him in person because it might save a visit you know like if he says oh that you've got a pain here let me let me feel your abdomen is that you know
They haven't reached that yet, and I felt that they will for a long time.
So that just had, in which case, that just adds another layer of waiting.
You know, Zoom call just says, well, go to your doctor.
So I would much rather, I have nothing against seeing a doctor over video, much worse though, an AI doctor, you know, that would be kind of scary.
Oh my gosh, no way, no freaking
way.
and how you got to be you got to be suspicious people have to be suspicious now even though the medical community itself i think is rather relatively responsible right among our institutions
no i do no way i'm going to ai doctor and by the way ron thank you for the call thank you for your listenership uh we're mixing stories here but it brings up uh and i'm not criticizing the reporter i'm i'm not i'm criticizing
why this headline got in yesterday's Wisconsin State Journal in the sports section yesterday, I brought this in.
Here's the headline, squad tops foe punches NLCS ticket.
Let me read that again.
The headline is squad tops foe punches NLCS ticket.
And so I tweeted at the State Journal, I said serious question, did AI write this headline?
Because
They're not nicknamed.
There's no brewer nickname that has to do with squad.
They're either the brewers, the crew, the brew crew.
Pat Murphy's called them woodpeckers, the kids, the average Joe's.
So you could have said Joe's top foe or crew tops foe.
My favorite, peckers top foe.
But no, they say squad tops foe punches and LCS.
So that's where we are.
This, this, this goofy AI.
I'm completely against it.
Look, I'm experimenting with AI and pushed into this by friends.
But I get it.
So the only way that I'm trying to experiment a little bit with AI is say, okay, I read all these stories to come to you guys every day.
Could something, could an AI program aggregate?
In other words, look at the things I'm already looking at and choose the stories that I would normally choose or bring to my attention.
So I'm using it like it's off air to do research.
But the day that, and it's not here at all, but I'm just saying I'm not gonna participate in AI creating content.
Not happening.
Not in my watch.
855-755-248-42.
855-755-248-42.
If you wanna weigh in on what's worse, either a doctor visit live or telemedicine.
Or AI doctors or AI journalism Let's go to Gary in beautiful Sussex on WAUK Gary.
Thanks for calling Doctor visit in person or telemedicine.
What's worse?
Well, if you if you went there for to have your prostate examined, I guess AI would be a little harder over the internet
I
don't think you can have that done Gary there are there are like Apple devices where you can do something like that over over the internet, but I don't believe it in person visit
Yes, I'd rather go to the doctor in person and kind of get a feel for things that way and have them check you know like whatever they check and then do blood work and stuff like that because
You know, when I go for my, I'm 73.
So I go for my annual, basically all he does is talk to me and ask me how I feel.
He doesn't really do anything.
And then for the prostate, they just take a blood test for your PSA
numbers.
And they give you like 30 different, you know, results for your blood work to see if it is high, your blood sugar or whatever.
Yeah.
I'd rather go to the doctor.
Thanks.
I appreciate it, Gary.
Stay healthy.
Gary makes a serious point.
Go get your annual exams.
Go get your annual exam.
That's really important.
We didn't play this cut earlier, Zabers.
This is from the Packers, the new kicker, Lucas Haversik.
I think that's how you say it.
Lucas Haversik, who was in Cleveland not playing for a team until this week when the Packers called him up.
He kicked a 43-yarder and 39-yarder.
Here's what he told Mike Clemens, our sports reporter and others, after the game.
beats me I was just gonna look so I was probably just substitute teaching again try get my credentials in Cleveland if they needed any so yeah did
you have
I mean it's of course strange but I try to do my best to adapt to the situation yeah I've had a lot of workouts in NFL had a red eye last year to Buffalo ended up getting signed so
I don't know.
I'm a little fried mentally, I guess.
I don't know, but it's just I treat it as this is just your job and be prepared as best as possible and just be ready for sudden change, I guess.
So that's Lucas Haversick
Packers new kicker at least for now.
How about that?
I mean, those are the kind of stories I love in sports.
You know, just your average person and gets called up and and then he's looking for substitute teacher work and then all of a sudden he's kicking field goals at Lambeau field.
That's great.
That's
great.
It is.
That's absolutely fan.
Dang, fantastic.
All right, who else are people calling for the thing or we got something else?
We got what's worse here, Cam and Appleton.
All right, Cam, very quickly got to move on, though.
What's worse, seeing a doctor in person or a tele-visit?
Doctor in person for the state.
I would not trust any doctors in the state from the experiences I've had.
Also, it's not possible to use AI to detect AI in other content.
That's a problem that you know, wait, wait,
wait, you don't trust any doctors in the state of Wisconsin
No, I actually still see my doctors all the way in Minnesota Come on.
I've had here.
No, seriously.
That's ridiculous.
Here are a hack That's
all right enough.
That's just I how about Dr. Kristen Lyrely our great doctor our great.
Oh me G. Y. I have the company I have great doctors.
There are all kinds of great doctors in Wisconsin That's just that completely ridiculous.
All right
We're moving on.
Uh, I want to get to some, uh, a couple of news headlines here that could have a surprise for you because as Bob Barker used to say, and now Drew Carey does on the price is right.
It's not just hole in one.
It's hole in two.
In other words, we've got two more tickets to the VIP premiere of no packers, no life.
It walk is on Wednesday.
If you can go.
On Wednesday stay tuned because coming up.
We're gonna give you one more chance to win VIP tickets to no Packers no life.
So stay tuned for that A couple of other news headlines.
This is this is one again I think that we are all well-served to remember and as Jane and I were talking kind of off the air And we talked about this other places.
Jay Matt near and I I've talked about with packed quite low as well morning is a packed quite low every morning from six until nine
There is so much happening and so much going on.
It's like how do you choose right?
So I I think it's just important to know this exists and Know this is going on the ramifications of the government shutdown remember Republicans control both houses of Congress the presidency and for all intent and purposes the US Supreme Court and yet we're in day 13 of a government shutdown
Payday is Wednesday, speaking to the 15th.
All kinds of active duty military others who are not going to get paid, federal employees.
Here's a story from the television in Austin, Texas.
This comes to us from Harker Heights, Texas.
This is a real situation.
There's video of it.
This is not AI.
This is not generated.
It's a real report out of Texas of what's happening to our active duty military people.
As I take a step aside here, there is quite a bit of military members in their families in line because of this government shutdown.
We're in day nine of it and they're here for a food pantry.
There's all sorts of food that is available and I spoke with some military member spouses and I spoke with some department heads here at the ASYMCA on why this is so important.
What's the difference in the amount of people that you've seen from today to previously?
So when we first started coming, there definitely wasn't this amount of people.
It was a lot, but it wasn't this amount to where it wrapped around the building.
But lately it has been a lot.
Like we were here last week and we were in line for like two hours.
And in a normal week, we usually run out of food around one o'clock in the afternoon.
Last week we ran out of food about 10.30.
How about
that?
These are men and women who are wearing the uniform of the United States of America.
Who put it on to defend us every day?
Working for us in the United States military And yet they are being forced to go to food pantry lines and food lines within the United States of America and we're not foreign countries not where they're being deployed to Within the US border I don't think that's what a lot of people signed up for and voted for
in last year's presidential and congressional elections.
I happen to believe it doesn't matter what political side you're on, that most of us, the vast majority, 95% plus, would agree that we should be treating the men and women who put on the uniform of the United States of America, our military, with honor and respect, and make sure they're cared for.
Make sure that they and their families have food to eat shelter make sure they have medical services And the fact that in the United States of America today That there are active duty military people standing in food lines Because of the shutdown and I would add on there parenthetically, I think they are vastly underpaid period I Think they deserve a pay increase
I think that's just good information to have.
As we move forward, then I think it's sick.
There's no reason that our active duty military people should be standing in the food lines because our government isn't taking care of them.
We are on day 13 of this shutdown.
And there's no end in sight.
Come on back, a little surprise for you on the other side.
It's the title of all show for a Monday.
Monday's always a good day for surprises, and we're gonna end with a little more Brewer's pep rally.
So don't go anywhere.

That atrocious Badger game.
