everybody.
I'm Todd Albaugh in the Civic Media Newsroom at the World Headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin.
It is six minutes past the hour of two o'clock.
We bring you a breaking news story at this time as we come on to the air here at two o'clock or just after six after two in the afternoon.
We are following an evolving story, a fluid story out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
this afternoon and a couple of different sources for you and interesting and I want to emphasize this is fluid because if you look at the WISN channel 12 story out of Milwaukee television and then the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel story two slightly different versions or at least two different perspectives coming out.
I'm going to give you both of them and again our newsroom here at Civic Media will continue to follow this but according to WISN channel 12
this morning, a deadly police shooting happened after a minor traffic collision on Milwaukee's northwest side at eight o'clock this morning near 49th Street and West Mill Road in Milwaukee.
According to Milwaukee police chief Jeffrey Norman, a 40 year old off duty officer with 21 years of service was involved in a vehicle accident while driving to work.
Both drivers pulled over and exited their vehicles as they were assessing the accident.
The driver of the other vehicle approached the off-duty officer and pulled a firearm.
Norman said that subject proceeded to strike the off-duty officer in the face with his firearm.
The off-duty officer drew his department issued firearm and the two individuals exchanged gunfire and the subject was struck, unquote.
The other driver, identified by family as 26-year-old Elijah Wilkes, died at the scene.
No other injuries from gunfire were reported.
Norman said the officer was taken to a hospital for treatment when asked about the specific nature of the officer's injuries.
The chief declined to provide further details, only stating that the officer, quote,
is getting checked out at the hospital at this time.
WISN 12 News investigative reporter James Stranton asked about video evidence since the involved officer who was in plain clothes did not have a body camera.
However, Norman said there is video, very clear video of this incident, unquote, video footage of the incident will be released according to standard operating procedures, operating procedure 575, according to Norman.
Now, according to the chief, both individuals exchanged gunfire, but did not specify who fired first.
He only mentioned this as an ongoing investigation and that a firearm was recovered at the scene.
That is the story from Channel 12 News WISN in Milwaukee.
A slightly, I mean, I don't want to overstate this, but a slightly different perspective coming out of Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
at this hour.
Now, here's what the journal Sentinel wrote about the same incident that said that both men exited their vehicles, the driver drew a gun, hit the off-duty officer in the face with it, then the driver officer exchanged fire.
Again, the same story saying this unknown who fired shots first.
Video circulated widely on social media after the aftermath of the shooting.
and there was a man down on the ground in front of the car and another man stood holding a gun according to the journal Sentinel.
At the shooting scene, Shania Staples told the journal Sentinel that the deceased man was her cousin Elijah Wilkes.
She and others who gathered at the situation apparently began as a traffic crash.
A friend who identified herself only as unique
told reporters at the scene that she was on a video call with Wilkes when she heard him say, quote, someone just hit my car, unquote, and he got out of his car.
Afterwards, she heard two gunshots and a voice shouted, quote, unquote, get on the ground.
Alexa Alaya, president of the Milwaukee Police Association, said the officer was taken to the hospital for injuries to his face as a result.
of the incident.
It goes on from there.
Again, the journal Sentinel has more people who claim to be on site witnesses to this and some more of the relatives of the deceased on here.
But going to be very interesting to continue to follow this, of course, there's loss of life, which is also always tragic.
But it seems to be kind of two narratives, one that they got into an argument and the other that the off duty Milwaukee police officer was essentially pistol whipped before gunshots were fired or there was gunfire.
So.
going to be very interesting.
We'll continue to follow this again at this hour.
There was a shooting officer involved shooting off duty officer involved shooting in Milwaukee today.
After an apparent traffic crash in which the civilian and the officer got into a discussion, allegedly the officer was assaulted and he pulled his weapon and fired killing the suspect or the other person involved in this shooting.
Civic Media News will continue to follow this throughout the day right now at 11 past the hour of two o'clock.
I'm Todd Albaugh for Civic Media News.
From the Civic Media World Headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin, it's the Todd Alba Show.
And now, pursuing truth wherever it may lead, here's your host, Todd Alba.
Across
Wisconsin on the Civic Media radio network and streaming worldwide on the Civic Media app,
Good afternoon, everybody.
Ta-da!
Along with Mr. Aaron Zommers on the board, it is 12 minutes now past the hour of three o'clock on this Thursday, October 9th, 2025.
It is a great day to be a Wisconsinite.
Glad to have you along, everybody.
Zommers on the board from the World Headquarters at Civic Media here on a beautiful afternoon.
And skies are blue at the intersection of State Street.
Fairchild here in downtown Madison will continue to follow that top news story out in the walkie But a big show for you today Thomas.
Let's go back to camera one for a second here Big show for you today coming up in hour two of the program We are going to give away.
Yes here on the set the beautiful movie poster of no Packers no life
We are going to give you a chance and the three o'clock hour to win tickets to the world premiere of No Packers, No Life on the fifties showing to the Marcus Theater.
The Majestic Theater, which is a Marcus Theater, in Brookfield, Wisconsin, same place as just a bit outside, was premiered, and we're gonna be there live next Wednesday for the big premiere.
Sean Hannish, Paul Giacone Berry, and others will be there.
Former Packers, Antonio Freeman, I believe, is gonna be on hand, and so we're gonna bring you that world premiere from Brookfield next week, but today, in the three o'clock hour, we are gonna give away two tickets valued at over $100 to be at that world premiere party next Wednesday.
with us with the filmmakers with former Packers and be some of the first to see this great new film about Japanese
Packers fans who have a big association making the trip to the Mecca Lambeau Field here in Green Bay.
It's a hilarious heartwarming.
It's a great film and Sean Hannish is going to join us in hour two via StreamYard to talk a little bit more about that as well.
At the bottom of the hour, we are going to be joined by a member of Whisperg who is going to be here talking about, are you a Windows 10 user, a Microsoft user?
Apparently they're looking at getting rid of all support for Microsoft Windows 10.
I'm an Apple guy, so it doesn't really affect me.
But I know a lot of people do.
So we're going to be talking with them at the bottom of this hour about what's going on legislative-wise to protect people who have Windows 10.
And of course, we have what's worse for you today involving pizza.
And we're going to hear a little bit, yes.
The Cubbies actually managed to put one together and win one four to three over the crew last night in Milwaukee.
You got to hear from Quinn Priester, Pat Murphy, Craig Council on that.
And Todd finally agrees with Marjorie Taylor Green.
I mean,
I'm going to explain this in just a little bit.
But first of all, joined here at the desk in a surprise Thursday appearance, the one, the only Trigveals.
How about that tricky
there's perks to being in studio Todd right, but I'm still late
But you got the right apparel on you're here your oldest daughter's checking out the University of Wisconsin Madison to go to college
Yeah, yep, it's true, and we're gonna go to a packer game gonna go up
We're supposed to go to
jump around but then you know ESPN went and changed the time of the game which kind of
Midic convoluted will jump for you.
You know, I was just over wandering around the state capital Todd and I was I was kind of reminiscing with Kaia because will it was having a call she had a call and Dude 31 years We were working together there.
Where is the
time gone?
I know and it's still just absolutely beautiful
You've traveled a lot
more than I have.
I've been
to 42 state capitals.
How does this
work?
It's the best of the bunch.
Now, it wasn't always that way.
Remember, it...
It was a little bit like some of the churches in the former Soviet Union where they had to go back in and take off all the paint that had been put over and whatever.
But like that money that Tommy, do you remember how much controversy there was around that?
Huge
amount of controversy.
Like Tommy and Fred Risser were like, we got to do this.
It was
the best of Republicans and Democrats.
I mean, literally Fred Risser was.
was Red Fred was his nickname, right?
But they were like, state capital of Wisconsin needs to be restored.
And thank God they did that.
And for those that don't know, Fred Risser was at one time the longest serving state legislator in America and was the longtime Senate president as a Democrat.
And of course, Tommy Thompson, Republican governor, but you're right.
They both understood the significance of restoring and preserving Wisconsin history in the state capital and the.
painstain remember they had the scaffolding up I used
to clean
the toothbrushes
yeah yeah it's great they literally remember when they were working on the marble with toothbrushes and then there was something about the doorknobs they had to find like a world-class brass maker yeah to restore them to what they were they had like one
handle and they
replicated but that just walking around there absolutely beautiful yeah and actually the one cop who was there he was probably working there when I was
So the other thing that jumped out at me and shout out to him, Tim Carpenter, is still in
the
state Senate.
He is, he's still there.
He's in
the state ledger.
I remember
when
he won a special election.
So anyway, it was kind of a, Kaya was having to listen to me be the old guy, but it's true.
No, I'm so glad you mentioned the state capitol because it is one of those things that makes Wisconsin great.
And the fact that
Those are the things that draws together Tommy and Fred Risser did that and now you've got Tommy and a former Democratic governor Jim Doyle Working on the new state historical society building right across the street here at the top of State Street And they're completely redoing that and raise money in a bipartisan manner for that That's
like cats and dogs living together in the street
man.
That's biblical that Jim Doyle and Tony are working together on something that should tell you everything you need to know I mean right
They're wearing green and gold, man.
They're not wearing red and blue.
Well, speak
of green and gold.
You want to come back next Wednesday?
We're going to be down for this new premiere of the No Packers of Life.
Oh, I can't come back for it.
But tell me more about this.
It's a brand new film.
It debuted at the Wisconsin Film Festival.
And I can't give you the exact name of the filmmaker.
Craig
Benzine was the director.
All right, very good.
Craig Benzine was the director.
But our friends, Sean Hannish and Paul Geconi Berry, who are two of the three
producers on the Brewer fan just outside.
They are the ones that are distributed and helping produce this.
And so it's the story of this American guy who was in Tokyo and meets at that big intersection there, a guy wearing a pack or shirt, a Japanese guy, and he quietly goes, go pet go.
And the Japanese guy goes, go pet go.
and he goes, go pack go, go pack go.
And he goes, why are you, he goes, we have this Packer party, you should come with us.
It's the American guy gets invited and there's this whole like subculture of Packer fans in Japan and then this, this Wisconsin guy helps bring them to Wisconsin to Lambo for a game.
That's so good.
Yeah.
I have to see
that.
Yeah, it'd
be fantastic.
By the way, I saw a bit, just a bit outside.
Well, welcome back.
It's a trick means review of just a bit outside and maybe talk to us a little bit of politics as well.
Stay with us.
This is the All Ball Show for a Thursday on the Civic Media Radio Network.
Go you Packers, go, go, go!
We're 22 now, past the hour of two o'clock here on Thursday, October 9th.
Glad to have you along.
Trig V. Olson is here in studio with us.
He was just here yesterday from DC, and now he's here live in person at the desk, and I think your two lovely daughters are coming to the studio as well.
Look at the, in Badger and the Union shirt.
How about that, ladies?
That's fantastic.
That's great.
Very good.
How are you guys doing?
Well, we're we're fantastic Talk a little bit about and and of course you guys are out here doing a little visiting for for college, right?
Yeah, sorry that was for me Looking at the University of Wisconsin So
that's great.
That's great.
And we're just talking now hour two We're gonna give away Sean Hannish is gonna be here one of the producers this new film No packers no life Trigamy just saw the trailer during the break and what what do you think?
Oh phenomenal
Phenomenal in fact we're gonna have to watch that ladies it it did coincides very well with our little adventure to go see the Packers playing all these places, but I will tell you Then there are Packer bars all across Europe.
I know that from my is living over really.
Yeah,
that's awesome That's
amazing.
Have you watched a game in
one?
I never have but
I know there are pack
of ours
in
Munich,
Germany, I know has one.
And you've even though you're a bunch
of them in London,
you're a twins fan.
You you broke down and watched just a bit outside the store, the 82 Brewers.
What
do you
think?
You know, what I've forgotten about is the fact they traded for Don Sutton and how big that was in in.
In sort of that run that they had and then Raleigh fingers getting hurt right
like
you kind of think if Raleigh fingers doesn't get hurt They probably win the World Series that year.
Yeah, but
the movie is great because it captures the essence of Milwaukee and But not only that kind of the heart and soul of it, but what?
I found so interesting is having been in Milwaukee during the convention, because you and I were doing the show from there.
I hadn't spent time in Milwaukee in a long time.
And I remember how it was when I was working in politics here back in the early 90s, mid 90s.
And Milwaukee has come back.
And it's one of those things that...
is so crazy about we're gonna deploy troops to these American cities and that they're war zones.
Like I was in Chicago, we were in Chicago too.
I mean, Chicago literally was just rated the number one big city to live in, it was phenomenal.
I was in Portland, like this is kind of, you know, it's insane.
But that Brewer's movie really gets to, you know, Milwaukee was not such a great place then, and you didn't have anybody wanting to call it the National Guard.
What did they do?
They all rallied around the Milwaukee Brewer's, rockin' Robin and the whole crew.
It was really great.
Let's get it done.
By the way, quick thing, Trig V, do you want a DVD copy of the movie?
Because I had bought one and was gifted one.
Oh, yeah, sure.
All right, we'll figure that
out.
Oula, DV and Kaia, DVD is technology that old people like Xamers have that you
put in a machine.
Oh,
yeah,
right, right.
Old folks like me,
yeah.
Let's, I want to get comments from the girls, but I want to get your comment, Trigby, on this.
Don't often agree with Margie Taylor-Green.
She was on CNN.
They asked her about the house not being in session, Congress being shut down, and how it related to the Epstein files.
is the Jeffrey Epstein files wanting to release those.
I know Democrats have also been calling for that.
A few other Republicans as well.
The Democrats are accusing Speaker Johnson of delaying the swearing in of Arizona's Democratic Congress.
I'm going to elect because she would give the last vote needed to release those Epstein files.
I'm wondering, you know, the speaker for his party has denied that.
He said it's because of the shutdown.
Have you spoken to him?
Do you think she should be sworn in right away?
Well, I'll say it like this.
I can't conclusively say if that's why the house is not in session, but the house should be in session and the house should be in session for many reasons.
We have appropriation bills that need to get passed.
There is a new Democrat that's been elected that does deserve to be sworn in.
Her district elected her.
We have other bills that we need to be passing and if it's to avoid the discharge petition.
Why drag this out?
That is going to have 218 signatures.
And so I say, go ahead and do it and get it over with.
Trick me?
Yeah.
There may be a lot of people who disagree with me on this, given our listenership.
But this is the thing, is somebody, and this is the jaded political operative side of me.
I suspect Margie Taylor-Green's not necessarily my cup of tea, but she reads tea leaves.
And she knows where the wind's blowing.
And I think, and Ted Cruz is another one who does, and if you start looking at the ones who are making nuanced breaks from Trump on things, whether it's Epstein, whether it's, yep, Kimmel, whether Rand Paul is doing it, these are politicians who primarily want to be, but they're also very adept at reading the room.
And I think it says her moving to where she's at says that she fully understands that
when that vote happens.
And I don't think Mike Johnson can keep it from happening forever.
When that vote happens, there are going to be a major dam break and it's a problem.
And I will tell you the other thing, place where there are Republicans beyond just the usual suspects who are starting to get nervous and starting to say things, you know, at things that I go to there, and maybe not publicly yet, is the deployment of National Guard troops.
And I was thinking as we were driving up here,
You have noticed.
Where are the cities that he's sending the National Guard troops?
I mean, what kind of states are they in?
Well, they're
all
in
deep blue states.
He isn't sending the National Guard to Milwaukee.
He's
sending them that.
I don't know that he's going to do that Philadelphia.
You don't hear him talking about Philadelphia.
I don't think he's going to send them to the to the purple states because I think he wants to run again.
Oh, God, on that note, girls, look, Kaya, favorite parts of Wisconsin that you want to get you got 30 seconds that you want to visit while you're here.
Hello world my favorite part of Wisconsin is culvers and my friends who are from Wisconsin are really jealous that I'm here because they were like bring us back some culvers and I was like no I'm just gonna eat it all right
My favorite part about Wisconsin is probably seeing family friends and just family stuff and food.
Oh, she's great.
That's great.
And especially you, Mr. Todd.
Aw, look at those girls.
Trigby paid them well.
No, they're fantastic.
Kaya, Oula, Trigby, thanks for stopping by.
Back after this.
Don't go to our farm.
News is next on the Civic Media.
Ready to work.
and having fun doing it.
Welcome back to the title of the show on the Civic Media Running Network.
35 minutes now past the hour of two o'clock.
Glad to have you along on a busy Thursday afternoon, October 9th, 2025.
But a good one.
Many thanks to Trig V. Olsen and Ula and Kaia for stopping by the studios here while they're in town.
Always great to hear from them.
Don't forget coming up at hour two.
going to give that giveaway to the brand new Packers film.
No Packers, no life.
So stick around for that.
Also playing some cuts from after last night's Brewers loss.
They'll be back in action tonight against the Cubbies at Wrigley Field starting at just after eight o'clock 808 first pitch from Wrigley Field.
The.
pregame show just after 730 on many of our networks.
We'll talk about that in hour number two as well.
But right now, turning the page and talking about a topic that I know is going to affect a lot of our listeners across the entire state of Wisconsin.
Now, I'm an Apple guy.
So although I use a little bit of Microsoft stuff at work, but for many people that have Microsoft as the operating systems, this is a huge issue.
Windows 10, the support is scheduled.
to go away here coming up on October 14th, and here to tell us about that, what's being done about it, what you could do about it.
Julius Shia, who is the associate at Whisperg in the Wisconsin Right to Repair Campaign.
Julius, in studio, we love it when that happens.
How are you?
I'm doing
great today.
Thanks for having me on, Todd.
How are
you?
I'm great.
It's a Thursday.
It's sunny.
It's fall.
I couldn't be better.
Oh, yeah.
Wisconsin's a great place for fall.
It really is.
As we do with everyone,
on the show first time on, tell us a little bit about yourself, where did you grow up, and how you got involved in Whisperg.
Yeah, absolutely.
So I'm actually originally from New Jersey, moved to Texas for a little bit, and then moved here to Madison last year.
I've been loving it so far.
It's pretty great.
A little colder than Texas for sure.
Exactly, yeah.
Whisperg is a nonprofit organization.
We typically work on a lot of issues surrounding consumers.
advocacy and environmental issues.
And this just happens to be something that fits in both of those wheel houses right now, the end of Windows 10.
But yeah, I got involved because I've
been really interested in environmental issues and things that affect consumers and wanted to fight back against some of those things.
And Whisperg is that primarily, some people that might hear a lot about through the University of Wisconsin Madison, is a student organization?
Is it independent?
Do you work together?
Can you hear primarily younger people involved with working for Whisperg?
Yeah, well, we do have a student chapter here at UW-Madison, and it's a part of a nationwide group called Perg that's the Public Interest Research Group, and we do a lot of advocacy across the country about issues like this.
All right, very cool.
So you're full-time with them right now?
All right, very good.
So tell us a little bit about this, because I know for a lot of people they might not... I have not heard this reported very widely, number one.
And so tell us what this issue is in terms of Windows...
those 10 in Microsoft operating systems.
Yeah, absolutely.
So Windows 10 is pretty widespread.
You may have used it on your own computer.
You may use it at your school, your library, your place of work.
It's actually one of the most popular operating systems in the world.
But about four years ago, Microsoft announced its successor, Windows 11.
And when they did that, they cut off support for a lot of computers.
So around 2021, when they announced Windows 11, only very new computers at that time could upgrade to Windows.
is 11.
Nowadays, about four years later, Microsoft is planning to cut support for Windows 10 forever.
So they're going to stop sending security updates automatically, and those computers aren't going to stay up to date with new features and with the software support to keep them safe from viruses, malware, other things like that.
And this is pretty scary for a lot of folks that use Microsoft Windows 10 because of course there's online banking now and we're paying for you know, we're
I'll speak for myself sometimes get lazy ordering things from Amazon off of our laptops or whatever would play our credit card information in there So, you know our lives are much more vulnerable and when you think about not having that those those safety measures in place or be able to call up to a help desk for lack of a better term That's pretty concerning.
I think for a lot of Wisconsinites.
Absolutely.
It certainly is and Windows 10 once again I mentioned a little bit, but it about 440 million
computers right now still run Windows 10.
So it's still certainly a very popular operating system, but Microsoft is just saying that it's going to be obsolete.
So it's their decision that this is going to be something that won't be supported anymore, so that they can push people to potentially throw away their current computer by anyone, even if it works perfectly fine.
So
that's something that works.
I think my old college professor used to draw a dollar sign on the board and state all comes down to that.
It feels like, as you said, Microsoft is just trying to force people into A, buying new computers and B. So if you have a computer that's running Windows 10, is there any way at this point to upgrade your operating system only or are people potentially going to be forced to buy new computers?
Well, according to Microsoft or for what they would like for you to do, they would like you to throw away or get rid of your old computer and buy a new one.
However, that's not the only answer.
There are a lot of other operating systems other than Windows that you could download on your computer that will continue to get support for years and years to come, such as Linux or Chrome OS.
And those are all free to download online.
Show us how old I am
because
I've
never heard of either one of those two things.
But also, like I say, I for a number of years.
now I don't know how long it's been at least eight or ten years I switched over to Apple products and so I just I don't think about that but I know for a while that there's is it is others are there more Microsoft
operating systems, more people using that than, say, Safari and iOS?
Across the world, yeah, it's one of the most popular operating systems.
But yeah, did you want to hear something crazy too, Todd?
Please,
please, let me
know.
Absolutely, yeah.
So, the weirdest thing about this all is that Microsoft is still planning to write and develop those security updates for Windows 10.
The only catch is they're not going to give them to you unless you pay $30 for one year of additional software updates.
Or if you're a business, it's $61.
Or if you don't want to pay, you can sign up for OneDrive, which, dot, dot, dot, costs money every month.
And you can back up your whole computer to their servers.
And that's going to cost additional money, too.
But yeah.
So put it down there
where the chickens can get at it.
This is just one big scam, essentially, from Microsoft.
It's unfortunate.
And the ball is in their court, honestly.
They have the opportunity to do the right thing to protect their own consumers from future security attacks, to keep supporting people who depend on these computers.
But it's up to them.
And we'll see if they decide to act in about five days, I suppose.
So yeah, this is scheduled to all end on October 14th, next Tuesday, I believe.
So what is Whisper doing to try to combat this?
Is it just bringing awareness?
or there's something that they either legislatively or the average listener out there across Wisconsin could do.
Yeah, there's a lot of things that you can do.
We currently are in partnership, the US Parag is in partnership with a few other organizations in the right to repair campaign, and we are sending a letter to Microsoft, an open letter, it's got about a little over 15,000, 16,000 signatures right now, urging Microsoft to do the right thing and to extend free support for Windows 10.
Some of our colleagues over in Europe actually already
got some success with that.
And for European users only, Microsoft is extending free updates for another year.
Of course they are.
Of course they are.
They get all the good stuff first,
right?
As if people didn't need another reason to move to Europe these days.
Now you got this going on.
Yeah.
But we do have that petition open.
It's a letter that's open on our website, and you can check that out at www.pirg.org.
And here in Madison too, if you're in Wisconsin, we're also hosting a
It's going to be a free event on Saturday, October 18th.
That is International Repair Day, where you're invited to bring in your computer.
And if it's running Windows 10 and can't get any more security updates, we'll help you install a free open source operating system like Linux or Chrome OS on it so you can continue to get those free updates and remain secure on the Internet.
Now, that's
fantastic.
That's news people can use.
So if you listen to us on WMDX here in Madison, or you want to take a little drive into Madison,
Tell us again where and when that's going to be, and Zommerins will put the show notes for people as well.
Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
So that is going to be on Saturday, October 18th.
That's International Repair Day.
It will be downtown here in Madison at the Madison Central Library, a beautiful location.
Yeah, it's literally still where we're at.
Right up the street, yeah.
And it will be from 10 a.m.
to 3 p.m.
Okay, now see this is I love this about whisper because you bring awareness You're trying to put up a good fight, but you're also providing a service and God love you for doing it for free for folks To come and find a solution as well.
That's kind of the whole ball of wax in my opinion.
Oh, definitely.
Thank you so much.
Yeah, I think it's great and
Look, I mean, I'm not here to beat up on people, but I think this is just another example of where corporations have just gotten out of control in many cases.
And correct me if I'm wrong, if they wanted to, if Microsoft wanted to, they could continue to service Windows 10.
Oh, absolutely.
They're already making those updates.
It doesn't cost them anything to just let everyone have them instead of charge people $30 for just one more year of software updates.
I know for sure.
My grandpa is not going to see that little option pop up on his computer and say, yeah, let me pay 30 more dollars for a year of updates.
He's just going to go on and every virus in the world.
Yeah,
every virus.
Or, and we didn't even get into this, but there is also the waste of throwing computers away and what that does.
Absolutely.
No, that's definitely a great point, Todd.
About this event alone, we're estimating, could bring worldwide up to 1.6 billion pounds of e-waste.
E-waste is a really quickly growing waste stream here in the US and abroad as well.
And even though it's not really a large percentage of the waste stream by poundage, it's one of the most harmful because things in your computers and your electronics that you're throwing away, they contain copper, lithium, cobalt, all these heavy metals that are not only really...
resource-intensive to mine, but they're also really harmful to the environment once they get thrown away and once they potentially leak into the environment.
Let's go to the phone lines quickly, 855-752-4842.
Jack in Merrimack.
Jack, you had a question or a comment on this Microsoft update or lack thereof.
Go ahead,
Jack.
Two things, comment number one, which is I've got both operating systems, Apple and Windows.
My Apple computer I have purposely not updated to the
most modern
operating system because I have a whole bunch of really expensive software that I got with the computer
and
things like the full Adobe suite and the full Microsoft Office system and they're all 32-bit programs.
And the modern operating system, the latest operating system will not operate those on a Macintosh.
Interesting.
Those programs won't work at all.
So I can't really update if I want to keep that very good software.
The second thing I have is a question.
And the question is, if you have a VPN, you can make the internet think that you're located in another country, for example, in Europe.
would I be able to get the update free by using going through my VPN to get those updates?
Great question, Jack.
Do we know the answer to that, Julius?
So that is a really great question, Jack.
I personally don't know.
I've never tried that before, but I mean...
Potentially that could be a solution.
They they are only giving that free year of updates in Europe without any strings attached here in the US if you want those quote-unquote free updates You do have to sign Microsoft's little letter and you have to like let them back up your computer to one drive and they'll charge you for the storage of course But yeah, no you and Jack you brought up a good point too with the software support.
It's it's tough.
That's a that's another way they
I'll do that to
you.
Julius Shia from the Association from Wispburg on Wisconsin Right to Repair campaign.
Thank you very much for being here.
Great information.
We'll put all the information in our show notes.
Come back again.
We'd love to see you.
Thank you so much, Don.
Our pleasure.
Stay tuned.
A little Brewer's update for you next.
You're listening to the Tonal Bowl Show across Wisconsin on the Civic Media Radio Network.
Wherever it may lead and having fun doing it.
Welcome back to the time of all show on the civic media ready to work.
It is now eight minutes before the hour three o'clock.
Don't forget, stick around.
You're going to have some fun games.
Your chance to win.
World premiere.
Ever been to a VIP world premiere?
Ever gone and see like, you know, the we see in Hollywood premiere?
I'd never been to one until I went to just a bit outside the store of the 82 Brewers with our friends Sean Hannish, Kelly Call, and Paul Geconi Berry last year at the Marcus Theater in Brookfield.
Well, here now we're at another one, another great film coming out called No Packers, No Life from Tokyo to Titletown.
We'll play the trailer again for you our to one of the producers of the film Sean Hannish is going to help us kick this off today tomorrow and Monday For the next three or today including today tomorrow and Monday We're gonna be giving away a pair of tickets to this world premiere valued over $100 gonna be our reception for you Some of the former Packers are gonna be there the filmmakers are gonna be there
Then you get a chance to watch this in the beautiful Marcus Theater in Brookfield.
And good time had by all.
And we're going to give you a chance to call in and win tickets in our number two summers.
He's going to be here.
Yes.
I did not know that.
Well, it was a surprise.
It was a surprise, I guess.
Maybe I kind of blew it.
Anyway, yes, Sean's going to be streaming already then, I believe.
Exciting.
Anyway, the Brewers.
Speaking of a little bit earlier here, Milwaukee Brewers last night in a regularly field were beaten by the Chicago Cubs four to three.
All these scoring once again happened in the first couple of innings.
Quinn Priester, who has been just fabulous most of the regular season, was in his hometown.
He saw the World Series there, rooting for the Cubs back in front of the family.
And, you know, maybe he just kind of got his head, but he got, he didn't even last a full inning.
and the Cubs were off to a victory.
Here, but here's the great, and what I loved about this, when Murph went out to the mound, manager Pat Murphy, he stopped him, because pre-ster was just gonna head to the duck out, and Murph, he stopped him, put his hand on his shoulder, and it looked at him, and basically he said, look, keep your head in the game, we're gonna need you.
What a confidence there by Murph.
But I also love the fact that Priester took full responsibility.
Here he is talking to our own Mike Clemens, our great sports reporter in the Brewer's Clubhouse last night in Chicago after the game.
It's very frustrated.
Very frustrated with that first inning.
The only inning, you know, the command wasn't good.
The stuff wasn't coming out the way I'd wanted it to.
And ultimately, it falls onto me to make an adjustment.
It's going to be different every day.
You're going to have different circumstances to have to work with and battle through.
And it's up to a pitcher making an adjustment to get us, at least give us a chance, get the ball and play.
Didn't do that today.
Didn't give us a chance.
And everyone else played real well with the exception of myself.
So I definitely feel like that's entirely on me.
Got to love a guy like that who takes all the responsibility Quentin Priester after the game.
Here's Pat Murphy on Quentin Priester.
I think the moment got to him a little bit.
I think this is again, he's not technically a rookie, but that's his first postseason appearance and a long layoff.
It's at his hometown.
Yeah, I feel for him because that's not typically how he's done this year and it gave them a jump start and was the difference in the game.
Pat Murphy last night.
talking about Quinn Priestor.
Also the fact that they had this early scoring once again on both the Cubs and the Brewers.
Yelly let it off with the home run I believe in the first and then it was Katie Barthendore with the Cubs scoring four runs off a Priestor in the first.
Here's Murphy all that early scoring.
Both teams come out firing you know that's what it's about you know they
They know us.
We know them.
There's a lot of emotion in the game, and it says something for both teams, really.
Tonight, the Cubs got the best of it.
Pat Murphy last night also went on to talk about the great bullpen of the Brewers last night after Priester left the mound.
We had some great pitching performances tonight, too.
Quintana gave us three plus, and the job Patrick did, the job Anderson did, you know, to give us a chance, I thought.
I thought those three guys in particular were outstanding and to shut the Cubs down for eight innings in their home park with what an electric environment for them.
And finally, former Brewers manager now managing for the Evil Cubs, Craig Council on how the Cubs responded to be down to nothing.
It's fun and stressful in the same in the same sentence and the same light.
And I think you feel both emotions a lot.
But, you know, you're you're planned to
play tomorrow.
And that can't help but give you something else, right?
It just, it has to.
And I thought we played like, we played with that urgency, especially in the first, we just did a great job in the first inning.
We had really good at bats.
I thought, you know, the Michael Homer, yes, great.
Nico, Nico putting a guy, Nico getting on base right away again.
Like, it's just, it's not going to be a one run inning.
You're going to have a tough inning again.
And I thought, you know, we did that really, really well.
And it makes a difference.
Every run is so hard to come by.
And so we put together that really beautiful inning.
And you have to play like that.
You kind of pull out all the stops.
And if that gives you an advantage, you try to take advantage.
You try to use it as much as you can.
All right, there you go.
There's a correct counsel from the Cubs on their win last night.
Facing elimination, they do so again tonight.
Now take a nap maybe early in the evening because it's another late nighter tonight as the Brewers will try to win the divisional series once again tonight.
The Cubs have to win or they're done.
The pre-game show gets underway at 7.30.
730 with the first pitch just after eight o'clock at Wrigley Field.
You can hear it live on WRCE in Richland Center, WISS in Oshkosh, WCQM in Park Falls, and WBZH in Hayward, Wisconsin over the air.
Terrestrial radio, as they say, can't stream it.
That belongs to, the rights belong to someone else, but let's go crew.
Let's wrap this up.
Brewer magic, Euker magic.
I have a good feeling about tonight.
Neither team has officially named their starting pitchers yet.
Come on back in hour two.
We are going to give away two tickets to the world premiere of No Packers, No Life.
You can be there with me after this.
From the Civic Media World Headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin, it's the Todd Alba Show.
And now, pursuing truth wherever it may lead, here's your host, Todd
Alba.
Good afternoon, everybody.
Ta-da, along with Mr. Aaron Zommers on the board.
It is six minutes past the hour of three o'clock on this Thursday, October 9th, 2025, and it's a great day to be a Wisconsinite.
Welcome, everybody, to hour number two of the big program here at the Crossroads of downtown Madison, State and Fairchild Street.
Glad to have you along.
Beautiful blue sky fall day here in Wisconsin.
It's a beautiful day for a Packers game.
One of the Packers don't play today.
Of course, they play on Sunday, but time to have a little fun.
By the way, a little bit later on the show, we'll we'll do some other news headlines as well.
But I've been looking forward to this and nervous anticipation.
Joining us via StreamYard are our friend and one of the producers of Just have been outside the store, the Green Bay or Green Bay.
of the Milwaukee Brewers.
I'm combining the two films, but also one of the producers of the great new film, No Packers, No Life, joining us from Los Angles, California, Sean Hannish.
How are you?
Great, Todd.
How are you doing?
I'm discombobulated.
Before we came on the air, I asked you, I knew the answer.
But I mean, we're talking about, I've got my Brewer's stuff on today, my Euker Jersey, because the Brewer's going up against the Cubs tonight.
And so, I mean, just quickly, Brewer's lover yourself, boy, it was tough, but maybe not completely unexpected last night.
You know, yeah, of course, we wanted to sweep the Cubs, but I mean, the thing that I take away from yesterday is the team, this team never gives up.
Right.
And so, you know, it must be really hard playing us because you got to be like, one of these guys just going to like roll over for a few innings.
And we never do.
And I think that's going to pay dividends tonight.
I think we win.
We win in four.
I agree with that.
I feel really good about tonight.
Um, I just think that this team is built exactly just they don't seem to get to as a team, um, uh, unnerved or come apart.
They either there, they support each other, even with one guy like priest or and, and I'm not sure we played earlier.
The priest or come and talk about a standup guy.
He just looked right in the camera after the game and said, that's all on me.
Everybody else played great.
I take responsibility and, uh,
But yeah, this whole power of friendship, I think it's real.
So I agree.
I like the the Brewers in four tonight.
Right now, those change gears to to Packers.
You went but on the show of Paul Gikoni, Barry, one of the other producers of this great film.
Well, you have time.
Let's play the trailer one more time.
So I want people to get a flavor.
Here is the official trailer of the film that premieres next week in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
We're wandering Tokyo, and I see a guy with a Packers jersey on, and I'm like, no way.
I just quietly say, go back, go.
And he shouts back,
go back, go!
The Japanese Packer cheering team.
Packers number one.
I love Packers.
No Packers, no right.
Insanely passionate, to a degree which probably most people from Wisconsin are.
Wisconsin!
I said, you guys are welcome to come to the pack any time.
I couldn't believe that.
Why?
And who are you?
The Green Bay way is to host.
And we say,
OK, come with us.
We'll show you the time.
We want them to experience the Green Bay way.
This is Green Bay!
Go pack
go!
Wisconsin is huge.
So one team in the NFL that's owned by the people.
It gives people a connection that no other team offers.
No Packers, no life.
No Packers, no life.
You can find more details at MarcusTheater.com and NoPackersNoLife.com at premieres at Marcus Theater's in select.
theaters across the state.
As Letterman says, hopefully one of yours has been selected on October 17th.
Sean, it's fantastic.
I cannot wait.
I'm pumped up to see it.
Sean Hannish, one of the producers joining us live from Los Angeles.
And there is a select few that could see this film a couple of days earlier next Wednesday, October 15th at one of the great Marcus theaters there in Brookfield.
We're going to be doing our show there at the Majestic Theater in Brookfield next Wednesday.
Very great.
for your invitation for us to once again join you and the filmmakers and others next Wednesday.
What can you tell us about this day?
And for those that might not be lucky enough to win tickets here this hour, are there still VIP tickets to the world premiere available?
Well, Todd, yes and yes.
First of all, we're thrilled that you're going to be able to come and spend a couple of hours with us, you know, you and Zomers.
We're going to have a great time.
We're going to have a couple of members of the Japanese Packers' cheering team flying over from Tokyo.
We're going to have a number of former Packer legends.
And let me tell you a little about the event.
It's going to be the world premiere, the world VIP premiere of No Packers, No Life.
And that is Wednesday, the next Wednesday on the calendar.
It's Wednesday October 15th.
So we're, and it's going to be great.
Listen, it's a
The reception, you get to meet everybody, 5.30, the film starts at 6.30, and it's at the Marcus Majestic of Brookfield in Waukesha.
Anyway, we'll get into that.
It's the Marcus Majestic.
Anyway, it's going to be such a great night, and I have a little bit of news to share with you because we've been all these Packer legends that we've been talking to want to come and support the film.
We already announced that we're going to have Antonio Freeman and George Coons there.
We just just found out that we're also going to have Amon Green.
Wow.
What a lineup.
If you want to come and see this amazing movie with a bunch of really pumped up, you know, Packer fans, come where you're Jersey, you're going to get a chance to meet Amon Green and.
You know, Tonya Freeman, you know, George Coons, you can meet all these legends, meet a couple of the great fans from Tokyo that are flying over.
It's going to be a real love fest.
And yeah, I know you're going to give away a pair of tickets today.
Thanks to you guys.
Yeah.
Yeah, you're welcome.
If you're not lucky enough to win those, you can go to nopackers and nolife.com.
And there are there are limited tickets still available.
So you can find the link there to buy tickets for this world premiere.
I would really encourage people and again through you guys were so gracious as to invite us down last year to the Brewers premiere of Just A Bit Outside and you guys know how to do things right and do things well.
There's a great reception, there's food and drink and then you usher everybody into this private showing beautiful theater and a chance to listen to Q&A after the film with the filmmakers.
It's really well, well done and most of us in Wisconsin, unlike you, will never get a chance to
be in an LA premiere and have a world premiere a second one in two years in Wisconsin.
I think that's something special.
Yeah, the tickets are 100 bucks.
But tell folks a little bit, Sean, this is not just a moneymaker.
You also
are
doing this as a part of philanthropy to a couple organizations as well.
Portions of the proceeds go to a couple of great causes.
Well, that's part of it too.
That's one of the reasons there's a premium on the prices.
There's all free food and drink.
You get to mingle with all these great former packers.
But also, yeah, a percentage of the proceeds goes to the Boys and Girls Club of Wisconsin.
And we're really thrilled to partner with them.
They're an amazing organization.
They're going to have a lot of people there in attendance.
We're hoping some of the boys and girls themselves are going to be able to come.
And we're going to have a silent auction.
So we're going to have signed posters like the poster behind you.
We're going to have signed footballs.
We're going to have a lot of great memorabilia and all the proceeds of that go to the Boys and Girls Club of Wisconsin.
So it's a feel-good night.
You get to give back to the community.
You get to mingle with, you know, Packer legends.
And then you get to see a great film and we'll have a Q&A afterwards.
It's going to be a wonderful evening and I cannot wait.
I can't wait either.
Let's not make our listeners wait any longer either.
We're going to give away courtesy of Sean and the filmmakers here two VIP tickets to the world premiere.
Now here's the deal.
you have to be able to go next Wednesday.
Last year when we did this, we had a couple of people call and give us the answer, like, no, I can't go.
You have to be able to go next Wednesday evening.
It starts at 5.30, right, Sean?
It does.
5.30 in Waukesha at the Marcus Brookfield Theater in Waukesha.
So you have to be able to go there at 5.30.
And so we're going to give you a question.
And then you give us a call.
and will take the calls in order received and the first person with a right answer, the correct answer, will win these two tickets to the world premiere of No Packers, No Life.
All right, here's the question.
The dialing number is 855-752-4842.
We're gonna give that to you again in a minute.
Here's the question.
The Green Bay Packers have played five international games in all time.
Where was the game held in 1998?
The Green Bay Packers have played five international games.
Where was the game held in 1998?
The number to call with the correct answer is 855-752-4842 855-752-4842.
Only Collins, no text on this one.
All right, so the Green Bay Packers have played five international games.
Where was the game held in 1998?
That is the question we want you to call in and because, you know, that's the way we do things here.
And the person with the first right answer wins.
Do you know the answer, Sean?
I have a pretty good idea.
Our phone lines are lit up like a Christmas tree right now.
Yeah We have we have one two three four five we have six phone line, which is the maximum.
There's the mass We are we are all all you can tell you the excitement about
this film.
All right
All right, let's go our first caller Terry in cross planes Terry there have been five international games in Packer history.
Where was the game held in 1998?
Tokyo is correct
Terry, you are going to the VIP world premiere of No Packers, No Life.
Wow.
That
was
quick.
Did you know that or do you have to look it up?
I actually kind of knew it.
And then
I figured that, oh, because it's No Packers, No Life, I have to be right.
Maybe it was a little too easy, I don't know.
But we want people to be able to go and enjoy the film.
Where are you calling us from, Terry?
I'm in Madison.
All right, very good.
Very good.
So you listen to WMDX here in Madison.
We appreciate that.
Well, Terry, you're going to get to meet Sean and all the folks there.
I have to ask, you can go right next Wednesday at 5.30.
I
can go.
I should be there, like, right on the button.
That's fine.
I mean, because the reception goes, well, what, Sean, hour or so?
The reception is an hour.
Again, free food and drink, and then we'll mingle and wander into the.
So, Terry, you're in great shape.
Please come and say hi.
I definitely will.
Can I say that I saw this at the Wisconsin Film Festival?
Wow.
Yes.
I never walked out of a movie feeling like sad, but awesome.
My heart was so full after I watched this movie.
Wow.
Look at that.
You get a review, Sean, and a fan all together.
I'm so happy to hear it.
I'm talking to Terry now, Todd.
Terry, I was at that screening, and that's how we at Cannonball found the movie to distribute.
Isn't it a wonderful film?
Yes, it is just so fantastic.
I remember Todd, you talked about it a couple weeks or so ago,
and
I texted you, I don't know if you got it or whatever, but anyhow, it's like...
I'm
happy for you Terry and for those that didn't win we're gonna do this again tomorrow and three o'clock hour Terry do not hang up Zomers will take your information off the air and we'll we'll get that to you Sean.
Thank you very much.
We'll see you next Wednesday down to walkie shop Thanks, God.
All right.
Thank you very much.
Come on back more after this on this
the Civic Media Ready Network 22 minutes now, past the hour of three o'clock on Thursday, October 9th.
Many thanks to Sean Hannish for taking time to join us to talk about his great new film, No Packers, No Life.
Congratulations to Terry calling in as well for being a listener.
Don't get discouraged because we had, I mean, thank you for all the listeners, by the way, viewers.
The phone lines look like a Christmas tree, but don't get discouraged.
If you did not win today, we're going to do this again tomorrow in the three o'clock hour and then on Monday in the three o'clock hour.
So we're going to be giving away two more sets of tickets each of those days to the world premiere of No Packers, No Life coming up on next Wednesday, October 15th at Marcus's Majestic Theater in Brookfield, which is in Waukesha.
It's I'm just reading what's written here.
So it's it's basically a walk ishaw the line of walk ishaw Brookfield,
but they call it either by the way It
is they call it Marcus's majestic theater of Brookfield, but technically to walk ishaw It's a great place to see a film.
We are there last year for For the world premiere of just a bit outside and now this film no packers no life So join us tomorrow at three o'clock and the three o'clock hour and on Monday
in the three o'clock hour.
And if you want to make sure that you get tickets, as Sean said, there are a limited number of tickets still available and $100 a piece for the VIP reception and movie.
And that's the cool thing.
I mean, it's a hundred bucks.
It's not something you're going to do every day.
But you get, and believe me, the food was fantastic last year, last year.
Get great food, free drinks.
Then you get to see the film, meet the filmmakers, meet some of these great former packers as well at the event.

Follow us on those as well.
And on Facebook, you have to follow Civic Media on, I'm sorry, Facebook.
You can follow either the Tonelable show or Civic Media on YouTube.
You have to follow Civic Media.
And on Twitter, it's Civic Media as well.
because for some reason, although we've tried to pay Elon for our show page on X, it doesn't take.
He says Todd's money is no good, unless of course Starlink is concerned.
Yes, absolutely.
So anyway, that's fantastic.
Many thanks to Sean.
Again, he's gonna come back, I think, on Monday and join us, but be listening tomorrow and three o'clock hour for your next chance to win VIP world premiere tickets to No Packers, No Life.
You can learn more at No Packers, No Life.
Dot com.
Fantastic.
By the way, a little breaking sports news for you.
We had told you before the pitchers had not been named yet for tonight's Brewers game against the Cubs.
I said to my buddy last night, Rob, who I texted with a lot during the game, I said, if I were, if I were Murph, I'd put Freddie Peralta back out there and get this thing over with.
Well, Murph listened.
No, he didn't listen to me.
But the Brewers have officially announced that Freddie Peralta.
We'll start game four of the National League Division Series tonight at Wrigley Field, and he'll go up against the Cubs left-hander, Matt Boyd, or Matthew Boyd.
The Brewers need one more win to advance the LCS, while the Cubs need to win at home, and then again on Saturday, and a winner take all fifth, if it goes that far, at American Family Field.
The game gets underway tonight at Wrigley.
It'll be, as we said,
Freddy Peralta going up against Matthew Boyd pregame show at seven thirty.
With the first pitch just after eight o'clock, you can hear it on W R C E and Richland Center W I S S and Oshkosh and W C Q M in Park Falls and W B Z H and beautiful Hayward, Wisconsin.
Cannot wait for that summer.
How about me, either?
I.
You know, I'm nervous, but in a good way.
I guess excited would be the word for that, wouldn't it?
Yeah, I mean, I think, yeah, we got to be positive.
And I don't know, with Freddie Peralta on the mound tonight, as Sean said, you know, he's saying brewers and four, I'd go along with him on that.
I would do.
Well, let's turn to a little news here.
We'll pick it up on the other side.
I don't do the whole thing with a lot of people are saying too often.
Mostly
as a joke.
But maybe not so much this time.
And this, you know, not earth-shattering news.
But I talked to a couple of people that still have connections to the state capital.
And we talked about this thing that we talked about yesterday on the show, which is a Republican speaker of the Assembly, Robin Voss, was on WISN's upfront program, Matt Smith, this weekend.
this past weekend, and he said, Robert Voss did, that he's thinking about not running again for state assembly.
And which wasn't necessarily surprising, and I had said it wouldn't surprise me if he just simply resigned and stepped down after the first of the year because, you know, the leader of that party and the assembly speaker is in charge of the elections for that body later on that fall.
So it makes sense to put
Let him elect a different speaker to be in charge of the elections for the fall and a couple of sources that I've talked to.
Speculated a little bit and I had not thought about this, but they said, you know, Robin Voss stepping down to run for governor would not be out of the question.
Oh, no,
you may see you.
I'm just telling you what I'm hearing.
there is some speculation to block away at the state capitol that one of the reasons robin voss may not run for reelection to the state assembly is he may be looking at launching a gubernatorial campaign on the republican side because think about it bill barion out after he got caught being a hypocrite when it came to uh porn and then you've got uh josh shulman the county executive from washington county who you know he's doing okay but hasn't caught a lot of traction and then you got tom tiffani
Congressman from the 7th District.
That's it.
It's not an electric field in terms of politically electric on the Republican side.
It could be an opening for Robin Voss if he decides to get in.
We'll discuss it a little more on the other side.
Also, Pam Yankees, Midwest Farm Report is next.
Don't go anywhere.
We'll be back after this on the Civic Media.
Radio Network.
you
Welcome back to Tunnelball Show on the Civic Media Radio Network.
35 minutes now past the hour of three o'clock on Thursday, October 9th.
Aaron Zommer is on the board.
Glad to have you along.
A little bit more news here in just a few minutes amongst them.
Wisconsin's insurance commissioner.
You don't hear about the insurance commissioner too often.
We have an insurance commissioner.
And Pat Krightlow.
who by the way owed apology to because I forgot I was supposed to go on a show on Thursdays now it's at 10 to 9 and I was I was working on the show for yesterday and I just spaced and so I forgot to walk but he has Joseph Peckie now on at the same time and I think most people like to hear it from Joseph Peckie rather than me so but I just felt badly about that so sorry Pat I forgot to log in today but Pat quite well on this program
Was the first person that I heard say this and now he got the Wisconsin insurance commissioner saying the open enrollment is right around the corner here and that is why Congress needs to pass this funding for the Affordable Care Act better known as Obamacare So we're gonna talk a little bit about that this this little I'm not going to call it a glitch but but this thing that people don't think about but it's very very important that you only have a certain date
to sign up or change things during open enrollment.
And if we don't know whether or not Congress is going to put these tax credits in for the ACA, that could dramatically affect whether people are going to be able to afford to resign or need to change their health insurance if they're on the Affordable Care Act.
So we're going to talk about that in just a couple of minutes.
Also, Terry Barr, checking in on the old YouTube channel,
on Civic Media's YouTube talking about, we showed earlier the trailer to No Packers, No Life, the great new film from Kelly Call, from Sean Hannish and Paul Giccone Berry and others about the, from Tokyo to Titletown, No Packers, No Life.
Terry said, this preview gives me goosebumps, just like the Brewer's documentary.
I agree, Terry.
I have not seen the film in its entirety only based on the trailer.

Homecoming week here in Madison for the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
By the way, tomorrow on the show, Mike Mankey.
the public address announcer for University of Wisconsin-Madison, you know him if you've gone to a football game and heard him say first in 10 Wisconsin.
He's gonna be here in studio tomorrow, gonna ask him about his background, get to know the man, the person behind the voice of the Wisconsin Badgers PA announcer, and he's seen a lot of stuff, as our friend Matt Flynn and Earl Ingram Jr.
like to say.
He's seen a lot of stuff.
and having a front-row seat literally for Badger Sports all these years.
So join us tomorrow at 2.30.
Mike Mankey will be here.
But timely, timely indeed, or what's worse, because with homecoming, with brewers tonight, with Packers this weekend, Badgers, a lot of pizza going to be eaten.
So today, the category for what's worse, pizza with sauce or pizza with...

Pizza with sauce or pizza with no sauce.
855-752-4842.
855-752-4842.
No summers.
I, uh, I'll confess.
I don't know that I've ever had a pizza with no sauce.
Have you?
Don't think so.
I mean the closest thing there are several things I've had that are close like let's say cheesy garlic bread
Sure, but that's not a
pizza with no sauce, right?
It is different.
So no, I don't think I have
I would like to know oh,
yes, I have but it was not supposed to be without sauce
Somebody just forgot the sauce.
Yeah, I won't say where but it was at a restaurant.
It was really um
and I
took a bite in it and I'm like, huh it
The thing is, it was a cheese sauce.
It was a mac and cheese pizza.
Oh, I see.
And so it was not immediately apparent from looking at it that it didn't have the cheese sauce underneath, but
then you
bite it and you're like, wow, something big is missing here.
There's no sauce.
Pizza with sauce or pizza with no sauce?
855-752-4842, 855-752-4842.
Let's see here.
We have a couple of entries in cam listing in Appleton says pizza with no sauce is good If you make it with a cracker flatbread, I could see that that's an arresting a cracker flat flatbread
Yeah, I think the the key is it has to be designed to not have sauce.
It can't just be an accident Because then that's not very good
You don't want an accident pizza with sauce or pizza with no sauce what's worse?
eight five five seven five two four eight four two eight five five seven five two four eight four two Also, uh, we said right before the break talking about this and it's purely speculative I'll make that clear it's just you know I have a couple of contacts still in the building the state capitals as we say and I this is serious I have heard that
Well, number one, we know it's serious because Robin Voss himself, Speaker of the Assembly said on upfront on WISN this weekend that he's thinking seriously about not running for reelection to the state assembly.
And I said, what I'm hearing just tangentially from people in the building is that Voss is looking at considering a run for governor.
On the in the Republican primary.
So that might be one of the reasons now here Tom listening in sock County on WM DX says there's talk around Wisconsin that Dale Schultz would be a great candidate for Wisconsin governor He says any speck yield of talk about Wisconsin governor candidates must include the name Dale Schultz Now that even though he's my old boss.
I didn't I don't know who this is.
I didn't write that but okay
He's been on this program, he has not given it unequivocal no, but I don't think it's likely.
Right, I mean, as a politician, he has to give something that leaves a potential open-ended,
but his
answer was essentially no.
He doesn't consider himself a politician anymore, he's retired.
That's true, I just mean as somebody who spent a lot of time in politics, I feel like it becomes a habit to...
Maybe.
Give answers with
backwards.
I don't know anything inside, but...
I think inside of himself.
I think he knows some of the problems in Wisconsin politics and would like the opportunity again It's hard.
I mean, it's hard when you're in office and we're elected and you're in the mix and you're I think it's why Tommy Thompson is actually thinking about running again because he wants to be there whether you agree with him or not He wants to be in the mix of opportunity to fix things to do something.
Oh, yeah And I you know, I think there's a little bit of that with Dale
and my comment about the answer was certainly not intended to be an insult
Great, very stand-up guy, obviously.
All right, let's get back to the category.
Pizza with sauce or pizza with no sauce?
What's worse, 855-752-4842, 855-752-4842.
Steve in Lodi, listening on WMDX, says pizza with sauce is the best.
All right, Matt, one of our great UPS drivers in Richland Center.
Listening on WRCE says how can it even be considered a pizza without sauce?
Ryder was smoking dubies on this one Now I can neither confirmed or did not deny that CP was on anything when he wrote left ask Probably tell us But disarmers point it mean it is a thing right pizza with no sauce.
Yeah, I spoke
To my understanding, it's especially a thing for people who might have GERD or acid reflux.
Ah, I see.
Eat something else.
No, I don't.
I mean,
yeah.
Brett in Brown Deer, listening on WAUK.
By the way, if you're in Southeast Wisconsin, Milwaukee in particular, you could catch AUK not just on 5.40 AM anymore, but also they're broadcasting on the FM side of the dial, 100.3 FM.
Check it out.
I was down in Milwaukee this week tuned in great strong signal right downtown Milwaukee on 103 100.3 FM WAUK Breton Brown deer on AUK says He picked up on the Packer movie.
He says no sauce no life 8 5 5 7 5 2 4 8 4 2 let's go out to the driftless whistler listening on WRCE and Richland Center whistler
Pizza with sauce or pizza with no sauce.
What's worse?
I gotta confirm the upskies Comment it's not pizza without sauce
Doesn't qualify in your opinion
Yes, right.
That's right.
All right.
Very good.
Appreciate it.
Thanks, Whistler.
Take care out there.
No problem.
You're welcome.
Let's keep it out in the drift list.
Mike in Spring Green listening on WRCE.
Mike, pizza with sauce or pizza with no sauce?
What's worse?
Well, there's two ways of looking at it.
One, for me, it has to have sauce.
Same thing.
It's not right without it.
But then if your writer was smoking doobies, anything is good.
Fantastic.
Thanks, Mike.
I
appreciate it.
Yeah, it reminds me old line.
You got the munchies.
He's the point.
Thank you, Miguel.
Thanks, Mike.
8-5-5-7-5-2-4-8-4-2.
There's a couple more here.
We've got Carl, you know, Claire on the text line.
Pizza without sauce would be like...
eating toast," he says.
There are plenty of sauce options to enjoy.
Thank you very much.
I appreciate that, Carl, listing on WCFW the tap of a beautiful Eau Claire.
And quickly, Ollie, let's go to the phone lines.
Ollie in the Northwoods, pizza with sauce or pizza with no sauce.
What's worse, Ollie?
Oh, pizza
with no sauce.
That's just theater bread, isn't it?
I think you're right.
I think you're absolutely, it's not pizza without sauce in my opinion.
No, gotta have a lot of sauce and lots of meat and olives and the whole shebang.
Totally, a greener or a black olives?
Green olives.
Thank you.
Thank you and cheese double cheese,
right
you're gonna go for it go for the gold
absolutely
gold
Greening gold.
There you go.
Thanks.
I'll appreciate you have a great day up there the north woods Cam and Appleton checks on the facts Would that be great if we had a fax line?
Let's start taking facts on this program.
Now, that would be fantastic.
Cam on the, what made me say that?
Cam and Appleton on the text line says the pizza place up here in the Fox Valley called Munchies, reeked of weed.
Okay, very good.
I
believe that's accurate.
I think I remember seeing that place
before it, you know, vanished.
All right.
It vanished?
Oh.
Oh, the tech Spanish, I don't know.
Uh, I am not on Munchies right now or anything else.
All right, come on back.
We'll wrap things up after this.
Don't go anywhere.

Some breaking news.
At this hour, courtesy of Channel 3000, the CBS affiliate here in Madison, Lalita James.
The New York Attorney General who defeated Trump in court has been indicted by the Justice Department, the U.S.
Justice Department under Pam Bondi.
We shall see where this goes.
Our old friend Matt Flynn, the fond of saying, look, you can indict a ham sandwich, which is a simplistic way of saying the bar to indict someone is not always extraordinarily high.
The important points are what come after the indictment, but again, Lolita James, the New York Attorney General who defeated Trump in court, has been indicted by the U.S.
Justice Department.
Also, here in Dane County, in the town of Nuglaris, the town of Nuglaris chairman has been charged and accused of stealing opponent's signs before the April election.
So we'll find out where that goes.
That's usually nuclear is a very calm place and down there in Monroe and in Green County And of course we'll continue to follow The breaking news today out of Milwaukee and off-duty Milwaukee police officer gets into an a traffic Accident it's appeared to be a fairly minor traffic accident and both the off-duty police officer and these civilian get out of their car
And this is still a fluid situation in terms of what actually happened.
There are reports that the citizen essentially pistol whipped.
In other words, took a gun and hit the off-duty police officer in the face.
Both individuals ended up on the ground.
At one point shots were fired.
The citizen is dead.
The off-duty Milwaukee police officer is in the hospital, but this continues to be a breaking news story at this hour.
And on a lighter note, here in Dane County at the Henry Vila Zoo, according to Channel 3000, the Henry Vila Zoo is saying goodbye to two grizzly bears to make way for more polar bears.
Really?
So you're trading out you're trading out the Grizzlies for pole.
I thought the polar bears have their own place and I've been there.
I've seen it I'm not I'm not I'm not sure we need to I'm not sure we need more bears Personally, I was hoping for more otters.
Well, there are places you can go for that That's just me that's just me
eight, five, five, seven, five, two, four, eight, four, two.
Let's check in.
And don't forget tomorrow on the show.
Gonna have Mike Mankey, the Badger PA announcer here.
Really, I'm looking forward to this.
You've heard his calls.
You'll first in 10 Wisconsin.
And Ron Dane, the guy who behind those calls, gonna be here in studio tomorrow at 2.30.
Should be a fun and great interview.
And I believe Brady Ewing, former Badger and NFL veteran is going to be here as well because.
Homecoming big homecoming parade for UW tomorrow here in downtown Madison followed by Iowa visiting Wisconsin at Camp Randall a night game 6 p.m.
You can hear that game across civic media on Saturday pregame show up for four o'clock and then the kickoff just after six Iowa is going to be here against the Badgers.
You can hear that on the stream as well.
by the way.
And I think, oh, and also tomorrow, gonna give away two more tickets to No Packers, No Life, the VIP showing of the film down in Waukesha next Wednesday.
So it'll be a great show tomorrow as well.
Quickly, let's go to Charles in Milwaukee, listening on WAUK, been on hold for a bit, Charles.
I appreciate you.
You wanted to comment on this shooting that happened in Milwaukee involving an off-duty Milwaukee police officer and a civilian.
Yeah, I you know, it's disturbing That you find yourself in an accident and then on top of that you get Someone that wants to be aggressive about it.
It's an accident things occur And it is it's we're living in scary times, but when I spent 18 years in MPS at the same school and My friend Angie had came up with this program.
It was a mentor program
And it was run by fifth graders.
So if the fifth graders, if there was some kid had a problem on a playground, they went to either a mentor or they went to a teacher.
And the teacher said, hey, go find a mentor.
So they had them fill out a paper what the problem was.
So let's say Mike had a problem with Ricky.
And they would take the two kids in a school, the fifth graders would, and they sit down with an adult in the room supervising.
And they talk out the problem.
And it sucks that I've always said that.
Starting in the first grade, they need that at least 10 minutes a day, teach kids how to deal with conflict resolution, how to deal with conflict that may arise in your life.
Today, we have so many people that are so quick to want to pull out a gun or strike somebody when all it takes is just talking it out.
right um and I thought the program we had it was a great program because we we had less issues because of the mentor program like I said it was run by kids and I do I wish if they could start in first grade all up to the senior high school and every day spend at least 10 or 15 minutes talking about how to deal with conflict resolution
thanks Charles always appreciate your perspective of comment and uh yeah certainly need more
More help and conflict resolution, the shooting of the off duty police officer or by off duty police officer in Milwaukee with a civilian details are still not known.
So I encourage everyone to just take a breath.
Let's wait for the details and facts to come out.
I'm sure Megaton and other programs will continue to follow us as well as our civic media news department.
Thanks to everybody that came on the show.
Julius Shia from Wispburg today, Sean Hannish from No Packers, No Life and Aaron Zommer's.
For being a great producer engineer, we'll see you tomorrow.
Whatever you're fighting for, whatever you believe in, do not give up.
Keep banging your drum.
We'll see you tomorrow with Mike Manke.
