That badge means something.
You've earned that.
Donald Trump hasn't earned anything when it comes to law enforcement.
He called himself the other day, the nation's top law enforcement officer.
We all know that's actually the U.S.
Attorney General.
So that's weird in and of itself and disrespecting law enforcement, in my opinion.
But then to give him a key a hand cuff key because you're Uncuffing law enforcement.
I don't know when law enforcement was ever cuffed in this country and The insinuation is that you have all these people the Attorney General Pam Bondi Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem the vice president all but literally behind Trump
And saying here, Mr. President, do whatever you want.
You can thank you for, for letting law enforcement do what any look, like I've said before on the show, I have law enforcement in my family who do an amazing job.
I'm a supporter of law enforcement.
And like any industry, there are always a couple of bad apples in the bunch.
But to somehow insinuate now that law enforcement is just going to be.
Running rampant.
I mean, I don't know any legitimate law enforcement agency who's been doing that or would want to do that They're there to protect and defend.
They are there to follow the Constitution and For this insinuation by the head of the US Marshall services that we're just gonna go wild now I Think is dangerous Zomers.

If you are criticizing your country, it's pretty much your sacred duty to criticize your country.
And maybe you might not like the American flag being burned as that, but it is your right to do so.
And what they do not seem to understand is long as you're not stealing the flag and destroying it and causing some other kind of damage while you're doing this, it is freedom of speech.
For Trump, who took it off to uphold the Constitution, to faithfully execute the laws of the United States.
And for none of his little lackeys, his minions and mistresses, sorry, Alexander Hamilton burrowing that line from Douglas 67, surrounding him.

Here's the deal What's happening out in Washington DC again and Trump puts out these goofy executive orders now all the time and now he's got one that says He's gonna put people in jail for up to a year if you burn a flag and we went through this years and years and years ago on whether or not you can burn a flag and
You know, it was, it was stereotyped as Republicans said, no, no, no, you can't ever bird of flight because it's disrespectful.
And it was stereotyped that Democrats were saying, oh, but it's freedom of speech.
And we, you know, you can, you should be able to do that.
And this expression and Republicans and conservatives said, you hate America if you bird of flight.
You went back and forth all the time.
Well, there's a Supreme Court case.
Here is former conservative justice, Antonin Scalia.
Now, dearly departed, nobody more conservative in the last 50 years at least on the U.S.
Supreme Court than Antonin Scalia.
Here is what Justice Scalia said when it came to flag burning.
If I were king, I would not allow people to go about burning the American flag.
However, we have a First Amendment which says that the right of free speech shall not be abridged.
And it is addressed in particular to speech critical of the government.
I mean, that was the main kind of speech that tyrants would seek to suppress.
Burning the flag is a form of expression.
Speech doesn't just mean written words or oral words.
It could be semaphore.
Burning a flag is a symbol that expresses an idea.
I hate the government.
The government is unjust, whatever.
If you're not sure, then in the end, no one knows the Constitution better than you do, doesn't it come down to your personal interpretation of the Constitution?
If it isn't clear cut, which it clearly isn't, you in the end have to make an opinion,
don't you?
Well, I'll forget this person has to be convicted by a jury of 12 people who unanimously have to find that he was inciting to riot.
So, you know, it's not all up to me.
It would be up to me to say that there was not enough evidence for the jury to find that perhaps.
But ultimately, the right of jury trial is the
protection.
iteration of MAGA doesn't really go along with former conservative justice.
And since we're talking about due process, but Scalia himself, one of the most conservative justices of all time is saying, yes, as a matter of fact, even though I might not personally agree with it, Scalia says, burning the flag as a protected form of speech under the United States constitution.
It's just the way it is.
And I agree.
And here is the thing that I hope that, and one of our friends at Lincoln Project put this out, and I think he's absolutely right, not Trig Viva, somebody else.
I hope that progressives and Democrats and liberals don't take the bait because Trump knows that the Supreme Court, including Scalia, has ruled on this.
That you can't lock people up for burning a flag.
You can't Well, you could bring charges, I guess But it's not constitutional to put somebody in jail because they burned a flag regardless of whether you Believe in it or not And so this executive order holds no water But now you're gonna get Democrats and progressives some Who are gonna go out and burn a flag to show that I can do this don't
do it, don't take the bait.
That's what Trump and the MAGA people want because you know what they're going to do?
They're going to take those images and they're going to put it all over the internet and they're going to say, see, look at, we told you Democrats and liberals hated America.
Look what they're doing to our country.
If you want to make a point, burn a Trump flag.
That's a much better way.
Don't take the bait on this.
and burn the American flag because it's going to come back to bite you politically.

That is the appropriate way.

It's interesting to me, and when you talk about disrespect for the flag to me, it's not in speech that you find the disrespect.
The disrespect is...
It's very common for people to wear the flag, you know, a bikini bottom with a flag, which to me is just, you know, come on, find something else.
There's also a fabric out there.
The message is sent when you're sitting on the flag in that way.
I think it's much more egregious because it's so casual and no thought going into it at all.
I mean, we had a revolution because people wanted the right to protest the government.
And this is one way that people protest.
I wouldn't myself, but I understand that some people feel that this is an important part.
of self-expression, which we are all about, even though many of us don't like the look of it.
And the
final thing I wanted to say was this invasion into city after city that Mr. Trump is planning.
The question that needs to be asked is, where are the Epstein files?
How many CDs is he going to invade in order to dodge the Epstein files?
This is getting ridiculous.
How much are we spending on this?
And how do you judge that we have safety now?
Do the troops stay in there for what, the next five, six, seven, 10 years?
What is this, occupy forever?
