So, stick around for some great fun, but before we go any further, let's restate the question of the night.

Let's talk about the question.

Okay, question.

Question.

Question.

Pregunta.

Question.

Question.

Here, I have a question.

Questions.

This question.

Domanda.

Question.

Question.

Questions.

question is if you are low on dough, what's the first thing to go?

What's the first thing you cut from your budget when money is tight?

Again, let us know by calling or texting 855-752-484-2855-757.

You can leave a comment on our live stream and you can also text call.

via the Civic Media app.

Love to hear from you.

And there's also another great way you can get in touch with us.

Nightlight at civicmedia.us.

N-I-T-E-L-I-T-E at civicmedia.us.

Let us know your thoughts on the show.

Give us a guest idea, topic idea.

We read them all.

We appreciate your feedback.

So Pete, when the budget is tight and the belt needs to be tightened, what about you?

What happens?

What's the first thing?

What's the first luxury?

Is that go away?

I said pay bills.

And it's like, I'm going to give up going out to eat to pay the electric bill.

So let's be honest.

No, I would say just probably, I probably realistically going out to eat, because we spend way too much money on going out to eat.

I mean, everything's expensive right now anyway.

It's kind of

hard to get around that.

But I would say we have an issue with dining out or getting takeout.

That's probably the first thing that would go for me.

Gotcha.

And it makes sense.

Absolutely.

Don, what about you?

For me, it's Amazon in general.

I would cut down on my Amazon buying.

I do it way

too much.

How much Amazon

buying do you do, right?

I don't want to talk about it.

It's way too much.

Oh boy.

Yeah, it's kind of scary.

He just had

some packages delivered there behind him while we've been on the

air.

I think I did have today.

Yeah, I had some.

But yeah, definitely Amazon is a number one thing for me.

I'll cut down on that for sure.

Wow.

OK.

That's interesting.

OK.

I would have to go with probably like, we actually did this last year.

We decided to make some financial, you know, cuts, nothing bad.

We're fine.

But part of the reason why we wanted to stay fine is because we realized what we were spending money on was streaming services, eating out and coffee trips.

Those were the big ones we had to cut down on.

We still go out to eat every once in a while and we still enjoy a coffee, but it's not two, three, four, five, six times a week.

So

For us, it's like those things because we have coffee at home.

We have plenty of movies we can watch.

We have food in our refrigerator.

And honestly, especially now, none of the shows are even current.

So cutting out streaming for me is easy because, you know, that is too many.

That is such an easy fix, Greg.

I mean,

because the one thing streaming still has the cable didn't was you can there's no contracts you can get it for a month so if

there's a

show you want to watch pay the 12 bucks watch 18 shows that's well worth it like part of the reason I can't give up streaming is because when you break it down what you actually pay per show it's still so cheap even though they're very expensive like Netflix has gotten expensive

you want

HBO with Hulu it's like 38 bucks a month

yeah

but if you watch a lot of TV it's more expensive than it should be

But if you get smart about it, like I wish I was, and sometimes I do this and sometimes I don't, just get it for a month, watch it,

cancel it again, you know?

Well, and that's what we're gonna do is like, we got rid of like five of them, we had way too many.

And like, what we're gonna do is next summer, sign up for one, for two months, catch up

on the shows,

cancel it and go from there.

Because again, I mean, I'm not watching those streaming networks when I'm not, when I don't have shows to watch, I'm not rerunning whatever.

But yeah, I mean, it's,

It's a real thing and we've seen a lot of people responding on this question as well because it's I mean as you said the article that that prompted this question is CEOs and like billionaire Business owners are saying yeah Americans are broke.

They don't have enough money and we're seeing it in our Dollars going down too because people are making tough decisions.

So

It was a great article Yahoo Finance and it was the CEOs of Heinz Kraft and Philadelphia

They're all cutting prices because they know people are hurting and

you know,

they're CEO salaries probably don't help and the billionaire culture doesn't help but at least it's being acknowledged.

Don't worry Pete, they'll fire low-level employees to make sure those CEO paychecks aren't a-okay.

Dom, what do we have on the text line regarding tonight's question?

Yeah,

we have, well, the first hour we had a few texts, we had Brett from Brown Deer texting, MAGA can only memorize the chorus.

remember exactly that was from the that was regard to Bruce Springsteen the song yeah yeah I mean because that's what happens we see this all the time we see Republican candidates having big rallies playing these songs and then the next day saying hey don't do that you didn't ask permission stop playing my music and yeah every five years someone gets incensed over born in the USA

it's

the same with the the

Fogarty song

It ain't me.

I know Senator Sun.

Yeah.

And yeah, the fortunate son.

And they say, oh, it's anti-military.

No, he's saying rich kids don't have to serve.

You should be on his side.

He's saying, don't send all these blue collar kids to war or young black kids or Hispanic kids.

That's what the song is about.

And poor whites, those are the ones who go fight in wars.

So get your facts straight before you judge my favorite

musicians.

I love when people criticize Bruce Springsteen.

He gets off.

What else do we have in the text line there, bud?

Yeah, we have a few more.

We got Melissa from Willy Street, Tyson on WMDX says, the first thing to go when the dough is low is eating out.

eating

out.

That's a very easy one to do.

We got some from John Murray as well.

Yes, we do.

We got John Murray.

He says, when the daughter was in daycare, which struggled hard for a couple of years, it gets to a point where you don't have anything left to cut out that isn't completely necessary.

Sometimes I didn't pay my gas bill until

the next

month.

It's worse today for these young newlyweds with babies and wages.

Richest country in the world.

Yeah, yeah

And

then he also says people then say things like oh it's always costs too much to raise a kid Somehow you'll just figure it out and make it work Really price of a family in the US is high stress and being broke and having a second job.

Come on, man Yeah,

exactly especially you find a way to pay for kids

But

when they go to college, oh man, like even the college is way too expensive.

That's when you really

hit it.

Like if you go to public schools and I was a big believer in public schools, even though I went to a Catholic school, I want public schools to work.

And we were committed to that.

My wife teaches in public schools and has taught in public schools in LA and a Catholic school in Chicago.

But yeah, education is way too expensive.

Yeah, absolutely.

Absolutely.

We got Brett texting in again says the first thing to go was was my self-esteem, then my happy nature.

Now my patience is gone.

King Donnie sucks.

Wow.

I

love how Brett never holds back, but yet is always FCC compliant.

I appreciate that

We got Tyler from Wisconsin Rapids also Texian says silly text alert When the dough is low, I add more baker's yeast it really gets to it rising adding more for

for the feast, I think.

Sorry about that, Chief.

Oh,

okay.

He's become our poet laureate.

And I'm stating that as a challenge to other people who think they're better at it.

So I want to see more poetry.

Thank you.

We need a poet laureate.

We've got a dentist, right?

We've got

a night light

dentist.

And I think we had somebody else.

We're obviously not keeping very good tabs on

this.

No, no, no.

As long as we have a dentist and a poet laureate, I'm good at it.

Yeah.

Donald Chief, very dentist.

And then we got a couple more.

Yes, we do.

We got Melissa from Willis Street, also texting in saying, hey, Dom, are you a Bears fan?

I am a Bears fan.

What is

that?

You starting stuff there, Melissa?

No, the Bears are moving to Hammond, Indiana.

They're not moving to Hammond, Indiana.

No, they are.

That is a negotiate.

Basically what they said is, we're going to continue.

This is our focus now.

Nothing is a done deal.

It's all, the Bears are the worst organization for negotiating things.

And they're trying to get some hand here.

But where are the other places they would go then?

Arlington Heights, they own.

a $200 million piece of property there, but they can't get tax certainty and they would pay higher taxes.

I know they would pay higher taxes than anybody in the NFL if they went there.

They're not getting any help from the Illinois legislature downtown, which is where they should be.

Cause it's the most beautiful view of any stadium in the thing.

And they can't figure that out because the McCasky's have been bullied by a park district for decades.

Oh, the billion poor, poor billionaires.

Well, they are like the poorest.

Oh, my God.

Melissa is struck.

No, I

know.

You're right.

You're absolutely right, though.

But I'm saying they have power and now they're finally they're a mess.

But

yeah.

And then Melissa says, we will see.

Yeah, we will.

When we also got Tony, the trucker Texan says, fellas, first to go is playing the lottery, then cut back on dining out.

Yeah, I never played a lot.

Even when I never played the lottery.

Pete, what do we got on the social

media?

Good question, Greg.

Let me go ahead and pull that up.

I had it here a moment ago.

Sarah Jean says anything that doesn't keep me warm, cool, clean, paid, fed.

Oh,

okay, there it

is.

I was like, wait a minute, what?

Laugh emoji and then streaming subscriptions on point.

Our Palomanda Nimmer, our social media guru here at Civic Media says, budgets tight as is, I start selling my stuff instead.

That's another option.

Tim on Facebook says, true answer, going out to eat.

Wise guy answer, feeding the hobo who lives in our basement.

Is that your kid?

Well, they're taking someone in either way, whether it's

their kid or- That's a good nice thing to do.

What a good Christian.

The guy that walked over from the freight train,

who

knows.

Chuck Gennaro from here at Civic Media says, the monthly contribution to Tammy Fay Baker's Memorial Makeup Fund.

What a pull.

Hey guys, if you don't, if you don't know Tammy Faye Baker asked your memos, she'll tell you all about it.

When does Chuck need to get that reference back to 30 years ago?

I love it.

Uh, thank you, Chuck.

Uh, JB says, making Dan Davies films.

Oh dear.

Uh, chicken or the egg photography pizza.

LOL.

Because dough.

Ha ha.

All right.

Thank you, Chris.

And Andrew Brown says telecasters.

Greg.

You know, that's just a shot at me right there.

That was a shot at me.

That's Andrew Brown.

I've known that guy for like 30 years.

He knows how much I love a telecaster and I do not.

I will, I will sooner, I will sooner sell my TVs before I get rid of my guitars.

Appreciate.

Yes, they do.

And I appreciate my guitars.

So thank you very much.

All right, folks.

We got to take a really quick break, but when we come back,

We're going to be getting back into the zone, the quiz zone with the Game Master, Mr. Dom Lee, and it's all about the doughnuts.

We're currently streaming on Facebook, YouTube and the platform.

We still call Twitter still ahead.

We'll be getting into the nightcap here on casual Friday where we read the last year text messages and we talk about what we've learned.

So stick around.

Let's have some fun and it's time now to enter the quiz dome.

Oh, yeah, quiz done run by the game master Dom Lee.

We are once on casual Friday.

We generally play a game curated designed and absolutely Brought to life by the wonderful Dom Lee so dominator the dominator

defeated by the way

Yeah, Dom is undefeated.

Yeah.

Yeah, I not so much.

I am I am

Yeah, so

You and I are partially defeated.

No, I'm not.

You're doing great.

You're beating me by more than like a hundred percent.

So you're good.

All right.

No, I

feel like ties are defeats for me.

So I'm kind of tied with.

Okay.

You know,

I'd count

that you and I were raised very differently.

All right.

So.

Let's get into it, Dom, please explain to us the quiz for this week.

Absolutely.

So this quiz title is called Whole Truth, all right?

It is National Donut Day, all right?

Yeah.

It's a holiday widely known for customer deals, right?

Krispy Kreme and Duncan have historically got these amazing deals.

I actually went to Duncan this morning and I got half off my donuts.

Very nice.

Look at you.

Awesome.

Mm-hmm.

And so I got some couple, I got a couple of donut questions for you.

Some are true, false, most of them are gonna be multiple choice, all

right?

No phones?

I can't tell you how excited I get.

I'm just preparing myself for what is going to be just, it'll be like every time now.

This is how it works people.

If you're new to the quiz dome, run by the Game Master, Dom Lee, this is what happens.

We explain how much I lose, and then I start winning.

And then I lose at the end and Pete always acts like what I'm winning

It's true.

And

not to rub salt in the wound, but one of those I kind of gave away because I, but anyway, that's neither here nor there.

For every lament you hear from Greg folks, that's how excited I am.

And not just because I have a winning record, although that helps and it helps me perform in the bedroom after the show.

But I love a Dom quiz.

I think this is fun.

We're talking donuts and quizzes on a Friday.

How much better can life get right now?

Dom, can you hit the donut sound effect?

I can, I'd love to hit the donut sound effect.

Oh.

I thought it was someone biting into a donut that

didn't sound good.

What?

Let's get into this game, all right?

Yeah, let's get into this, guys.

No phones, no

Googling.

If you lose,

you're buying

donuts for the other person.

Is that fair?

All right, fair enough.

Deal.

I can dig it.

All right, question one.

Question one, this is a multiple choice question.

Which famous donut chain was founded in Massachusetts?

Is it A, Krispy Kreme, B,

Tim Hortons, C, Duncan, or D, Duck Donuts?

I'm going to go C, Duncan.

OK.

I'm going to say C, too.

I think Duck was LA, and I think Krispy Kreme was in the South.

Whoa.

You guys are both correct.

It is

Duncan.

Because if you've ever been to Boston, there are more Duncan Donuts in like a one block radius.

It's almost like it's like.

Do you guys really need this many?

Right.

It's like Canada with Tim Hortons.

They're everywhere.

I didn't even

know duck donuts were a thing.

I had no idea what that was, but

I

don't want to sound like a, like, kind of a whiner, but do we have a sound effect on for when we get to...

There you

go.

Okay,

thank you.

I almost can picture Steve Harvey's face when I hear that.

I'll incorporate only if you guys are right.

I'll incorporate the sound effect.

All right.

Let's go to number two.

All right.

All

right.

Multiple choice again.

Question two, which TV character is famous for loving donuts?

Is it A, Peter Griffin?

Is it B, Homer Simpson?

Is it

C, Michael Scott, or D, Ron Swanson?

Which one do you guys think?

It's B, it's Homer Simpson.

Yeah,

it's Homer

Simpson.

That's the man right there.

Alright, you guys, can you get a point for that?

That's nice.

John Murray got it wrong, by the way.

Yeah, John Murray you're not doing well Yeah, we're two for two John Murray we're doing my gosh, it's like we should open a museum

All right question three.

All right, this one's gonna

be

true or false

true or

false the largest donut ever made weighed over 3,000 pounds.

Is that true or is that false?

3,000 pounds.

That's a big donor

over this is I'm

gonna I'll say false.

I'll say true It is true Greg gets the point

Greg is up way

to lose this lead three to two Wow

This is, yeah, this is how it normally goes.

We got numbers.

Okay, thanks.

Okay, thank you.

Thank you.

When you say it, when I say it, it sounds just very, like, aware of my fault.

When you say it just sounds mean.

All right,

go on.

Got to add suspense.

All right, question four.

This is a multiple choice question.

This will be the last one of the segment.

What is the most popular donut type in America?

Is it A, Boston cream, B, chocolate frosting, C, glazed, or D, jelly

filled?

There's no F John Murray.

My goodness.

He says we're flunking.

Uh, I'll say, uh, I'll say glazed.

I'm a, oh, I was going to say glazed.

I'll say glazed too.

You guys are both correct.

It is glazed.

All right.

Four to three.

I mean, okay, for now.

All right, folks, we are in the middle of the quiz dome with the Game Master Domli.

Our quiz this week is about National Donut Day.

We're testing our knowledge of donuts.

If you want to play along, go ahead and text your thoughts in.

We're getting some unvarnished ones on this.

So when we come back...

more to come on this quiz and do not forget we're going to go into the nightcap in a little while.

So stick around.

You are listening and or watching Night Light with Pete Schwabba and Greg Bach here on the Civic Media Network.

Happy Jonah Day.

Welcome back to Night Light.

Which is nice Micro and macro baby.

Yeah, so after the weekend's all done you're all partied out come on back to nightlight not

only we

But right now we are officially in the quiz dome, which I just made up today led by our game master, Mr. Domley.

Doing a game a quiz, uh, you know a inquiry about Donuts as it is Donut Day National Donut Day.

Happy National National.

Yeah,

they're not regional.

This is not regional baby.

Not a not local.

It's

all over.

But, uh, yeah,

country or celebrate.

Happy national donut day to those who celebrate.

And we are doing a quiz right now and Dom is in charge.

Dom, you want to take it from here and keep moving.

And if you'd like to participate, please do so.

Drop it.

Drop a text on the text line of your answers and your thoughts of Dom's quizzing abilities.

John you've got you've got you've gotten some critiques buddy in the past It's hilarious to witness people getting that mad over a quiz.

Yes, it's especially the pizza quiz.

I did a few weeks

back.

Oh my

god Yeah, that was hilarious.

Yeah, that was

all right, so we are on question Question five right now Greg is up four to three for now For now, okay, four three so still very close.

This is how it normally goes with these quizzes question five.

This is a multiple choice

Approximately how many donuts do Americans consume each year?

Is it A, 1 billion?

Is it B, 5 billion?

Oh.

Is it C, 10 billion?

Or D, 20 billion?

What are

the first two numbers again?

Great

question.

1, 5.

5 and 10.

1, 5,

10 and 20.

1, 5, 10 and 20.

I'll go 10 billion.

I'll go 10 billion.

I'll play a conservative.

I, you know, conservative-ish.

I'm gonna say 20.

He's gonna say 20.

Greg, got it right.

It is 10 billion.

He got it right.

It is five to three.

Good job, Greg.

Yeah.

Why is anyone even getting anything about this?

I'm not excited.

I'm not believing in myself right now.

Are you kidding me?

Oh, man.

Yeah, it is

everything, I think.

That's true.

That was

really good.

That was really good.

OK.

Question six.

All right, we're going to keep going here.

True or false.

Wisconsin's most famous donut shop is Greenbush Bakery.

Is that true?

Or is that false?

I will say true with my logic in my head.

But if we're talking about independent shops, then I'll say true.

But if we're talking about all donuts.

Independent shops, I should have clarified.

Then I'll say true.

Independent shops.

I'll

say

true.

I'll say true, too.

OK.

Yes, it is true.

It's in Madison.

It's celebrated by Food Insider and named Wisconsin's number one donut shop on Yolk's

National List.

Oh, Food Insider.

Okay.

Why are you complaining?

You got that right.

Because you got it right, too.

That's

true.

It's 64.

I just can't win.

64.

Pete, you got a lot more questions still on the table here, okay?

It's question seven.

This is another multiple choice.

Here we go.

Okay.

What oil is commonly used to fry donuts?

Is it A, coconut oil, B, avocado oil, C, olive oil, or D, vegetable oil?

Vegetable oil.

Okay, Pete, very quick.

What's the first two?

First two is coconut oil, and then the second one was avocado oil.

Coconut oil, avocado oil, I'm sorry.

Then olive

oil and then vegetable oil.

I'll go with avocado oil.

I think I'm wrong, but I just don't want to like pick the same one as Pete this time.

And Pete, what did you go with?

Vegetable oil.

Vegetable oil.

It is indeed vegetable oil.

There it is.

Okay.

Coconut oil is like too healthy.

Well,

I can be I said avocado oil, which really makes no sense But like I just like why not go for it?

That was only a thing like a year ago.

Yeah, and those and those are like super fancy schmancy donut shops Only the most farm-to-table organic vegan avocado oil in the world John Murray got that one

right

with me.

He

said good job John

Murray Well done, buddy said I'm so bad John you were you were doing it just fine.

He's doing fine.

We're all winners.

Yeah

Alright, question eight here.

This is another multiple choice.

The majority are multiple choice, guys.

Okay.

Why do donuts have a hole in them?

Is it A, to prevent sticking?

Is it B, for decoration?

C, to hold the toppings better?

Or is it D, to help the dough cook evenly?

I thought

you were going

to say D for divorced guys.

To

prevent sticking B for decoration C to hold toppings better or D to help the dough cook evenly.

Why do donuts have a hole in them?

I'm going with D. That's my answer

Okay.

Fine.

I wish I have a buzzer.

Final answer.

Ding!

Wow.

I really have no idea.

I'm sorry.

Can you read the first three again?

Absolutely.

No, absolutely.

Absolutely.

To prevent sticking is A. B is for decoration and C is to help toppings better.

It's got to be D. None of those makes sense.

It's got to be D.

Yeah.

All right.

And the final answer is correct.

It's D. You guys both got it.

Science.

There we go.

That's why when you reheat spaghetti in the microwave, you make a little hole in the middle.

That helps to make the heat distribute evenly.

Is that true?

Mm-hmm.

Yep.

Wow.

I learned that on the internet.

Oh,

OK.

The more you know.

So it's for sure true.

Yeah, exactly.

Also, did you guys know that Tylenol causes

autism?

Okay, it is seven to six.

Greg is still up by one p. All right.

All right.

Here we it is question nine.

This is another multiple choice.

Which organization is credited with making the doughnut popular in the US?

Is it a red cross?

Is it be the Salvation Army?

Or is it see the police departments?

I'm gonna go with B. I'm gonna go with B. I'm gonna go with B.

Don you stumbled over that last

one?

So you

love that joke.

Was the Salvation Army and A was the Red Cross?

Correct.

A was Red Cross.

Oh, wait a minute.

You said Red Cross.

I'll say Red Cross.

I'll say Salvation Army.

I'll keep it with Salvation Army.

And the answer is Salvation Army Greg gets the point.

Why do you do the ding when only one of us got the thing right?

Why

don't you give him a buzzer wrong when he gets his I mean she's like the young man is there you go The young man is just trying to be the game master here.

All right

Fair enough.

I'm trying out here.

Okay, right now it's two point leading.

Yeah eight to six eight to six you have quite a

I

have a two-point lead, okay?

It's not like I'm not like a okay.

It's not like I'm three games up in the world series here, okay?

Time is becoming effective.

Yeah, exactly My brow starts to sweat as I realize my

answers will

get worse and

worse All right question 10.

This is another multiple choice Which famous rock and roll singer sang a jingle for southern made donuts?

Is it a Elvis Presley?

Is it be Buddy Holly or is it see Jerry Lee Lewis?

It's a tough one.

I'll go with C. All right Pete went with Elvis Presley and Greg went with Jerry Lee Lewis.

It is Elvis Presley.

I have to go with again.

Well, of course you do.

He got the right answer.

I understand how quizzes work.

You're like, I'm sorry, man.

I have to give him the point.

Sorry, he got it right.

All right.

So it's eight to seven now.

It's now back

to another

one pointer.

And we got

just a few minutes left, so.

That's true, we're gonna keep it going here.

All

right, true or false, there are reportedly 10 people living in America with a last name, Donut.

Is that true or is that false?

10, even an

exact 10?

An exact 10, reportedly, exactly.

Reportedly.

Reportedly.

I'll go

with true, because you said reportedly.

Okay.

Is it D-O-U-G-H-N?

I'll say false.

I know I'm gonna be wrong, but it's it is true Sorry

he has to give it to me cuz I got it

right

All

right.

Oh,

okay.

All right.

So we okay.

Yeah.

Yeah, we're gonna keep it going here right now.

We have

plenty of time, Greg.

You relax over there,

buddy.

He has 20 questions, buddy.

Okay.

We

might have to cut down on some of these.

All right, multiple choice, question 12.

The French call their doughnuts pite de nois.

What is it?

They called it

pite chouabat.

Is it A, the nun's fart?

Is it B, circle shaped sweets or C, chocolate pudding?

Pita

say the name

again the French word pita day no one I'm pretty sure don't quote me be Circles I'll go with be also circle shaped sweets.

It is actually the

nuns

fart.

Yeah.

Yeah, Greg knew it No,

I didn't I doubted myself.

That's what I did.

I doubted myself again All right, we're gonna keep it going here.

We only

got a few left

multiple choice question Which country is the largest producer of donuts in the world?

Is it a Australia?

B. The USA.

C. Canada.

Or D. Germany.

I'm gonna say

Canada.

Canada.

I'm gonna

say America.

But by sheer volume, I mean... Yeah, but...

Okay.

10

billion a year.

Never know.

It is actually... Canada.

Greg gets the point again, man.

Greg is on fire.

He's on fire.

Greg is on hot

street.

It is.

He's at... It's 10-7.

This is over.

Wow.

What's the score?

10-7.

Mercy

rule.

You're up by 3.

Look, I'm happy I'm winning.

I'm proud of myself.

I will call my mom later But you guys make a three-point lead seem like oh my what is Pete ever going to do?

I tell you

what we only have about one question left, right?

We only have okay.

We only have about one question left true or false.

I agree John Murray.

All right good In Scotland people refer to donuts as dough rings.

Is that true or is that false?

No, let's go with true

Because they are wacky people.

Hold on, let me ask my assistant.

I'll

say true.

It is indeed true.

Yes.

There we go.

The end result was 11-8.

Greg takes the game.

Well done, Greg.

I'm

extending my handshake through the stream.

That wasn't even really

that close.

Good game, good game, good game, good game, good game.

Well, I appreciate that, but I'm gonna retire atop here.

I'm never playing these stupid games again because John Murray calls me a savant.

That doesn't feel like a compliment when it comes to donuts, but I'll take it, sir.

Thank you very much.

That's huge.

And Trump with Joe, read Trump at Joe's.

There you go.

Well, let's, we gotta, what does Trump, what does your pop say?

What does Mr. Lee say?

He

says, there should be a bakery in Wisconsin called the Nuns Fart.

I don't disagree.

I don't disagree.

Yeah.

I think we have a billion dollar idea right here.

And while we're getting some financing, we're gonna take a quick break to get

some investors, you go do your thing, come on back, because when we return, it's time for the nightcap where we read the last messages and all of John Murray's quiz answers.

You are listening and or watching Nightlight with Pete Schwabba and Greg Bach here on the Civic Media Network.

Stay tuned and stay close.

You're listening to Civic Media.

Find the latest news, information and archives of all your favorite shows on the Civic Media website, civicmedia.us.

It's time to wind it down.

Let's take a moment to look back and ask.

What did we learn today?

This is Nightcap with Greg and Pete.

Welcome back to Nightlight.

We're currently streaming on Facebook, YouTube and the platform we still call Twitter.

As the wonderful voice just said, we are officially in the nightcap Friday edition.

Casual Friday edition.

Let's get to some more of your messages, your thoughts on the question of the night.

If you are low on dough, what's the first thing to go?

What do you cut for?

from your budget when you're tight for money here.

And we'll also get your other thoughts on other things regarding our conversations on tonight's show.

So Dom, let's kick it right to you right away.

What else we got on the text line?

Just a little bit left.

We got John Murray texting in.

He's a great texturizer.

He says, love a bear claw, but I seem to know nothing about where it comes from.

I just love some good donuts.

I'm OK

with that.

I'm OK with that.

I'm good

with

that.

That's so great.

Yeah.

All right, that's wonderful.

And

then he

also says kudos to Dom.

Nice job as quiz master.

These guys are a handful and you guys are managing it well.

I gotta include that.

I mean, you're missing the text messages

that said, A, false, D, D, B, C,

true,

B. No!

What if John like crushed us both,

but it was like delayed and we couldn't

figure out?

Just never know.

It's like, it's like quiz show, the movie is trying to feed us the answers, but they come in like too late and we're like, I don't, okay.

All right.

Do we have anything left on the text line?

I don't think I think that's it.

We're good on Facebook, too.

We're good on Facebook.

And I think I have two more thoughts on my Facebook page here for tonight's question.

And it goes like this.

First of all, we got Jenny, our friend here at Civic Media, Jenny Brand, self-care services like massages and pedicures, travel and streaming services.

That's, yeah, absolutely.

And then Joe says, Faberge eggs.

Fabergé eggs.

Yeah, I need some clarification there.

Do

you guys know what a Fabergé egg is?

Like, brute?

No, no, no, no.

No, those like those million dollar little pieces of art that are Fabergé eggs that were made for people in Russia back in the day, like they're sought after and... Oh, wow.

They're very, very... No, okay.

All right, cool.

I guess we run a different server.

Great!

Yes, I have four of them at home right now.

I've named them all.

One is Pete, one is Dom, one is Tucker, and the other one is...

Greg, I got nothing.

I wanted to say I wanted to try to remember the name that David Zucker said like a Framus.

Oh, we have that play that Framus.

Yeah, Framus.

Yeah, Framus.

Yep, just took myself right to the edge for that joke and just fell right off there.

All right Thank you everyone who got in touch with us.

We really appreciate it.

And again, do not forget next week.

We'll be right back here

same time as always, we'll be talking to Alfredo Romero, an economist to discuss the current state of the US economy.

And then our buddy Danny wheels, Daniel Wheeler talking about the Oshkosh funniest comedian contest and I'm sure some other things as well.

So come on back for that.

Do do not forget in the seven o'clock hour coming up right after the show is the final keyword of the day in our Accelerate Your Summer text to win multi state contest.

You have another chance to win $100 and a

a prize package for Wisconsin Dells plus grand prize drawing for $250 in groceries, $250 in gas.

So stick around for that.

And then the whole shebang starts again on Monday, seven more chances a day.

And don't forget when you get that message from us saying, Hey, you want to follow us on social media, want to sign up for a newsletter, go ahead and do that.

And you will get one extra entry.

So good luck to you.

Thank you so much for playing.

And Pete, what did you learn tonight?

Well, I learned that

Brent

Davy has a cool gig.

Yeah, culture critic.

That's pretty sweet.

And I learned that people still do not understand the song, Born in the USA, which Springsteen, that guy you said said he was duped.

He didn't put it in Braille or in a secret code.

The words are right out there.

So I'm flabbergasted by people who like that.

Yeah, well if you if you've seen Aaron Lewis perform speak or exist He seems like he's easily flabbergastable.

So, okay.

Yeah,

what about you?

What did you learn tonight?

I learned that there's reportedly 10 people with the last name of doughnut in the US That's what I

wonder if any of them embrace it and like yeah, you can call me crispy doughnut or you know

It's gonna be so cool.

Did you ever

call a guy like Joe Bagadonuts?

Remember that when that was like a nickname?

As a joke?

Yeah, because of like the the the zeitgeist like oh Joe Bagadonuts.

Yeah, I'm sorry Dom.

I didn't mean to make fun of your people there Jimmy John employees

Yeah, it was Joe Bagadonis, and then it was like, oh, that guy's a real ham and anger, you know, like breakfast

The guy is totally calm shorty.

The guy has no hair.

We call him curly.

It's like, you know, right?

You know jokes that never seem to age precisely Oh Lord, okay, we got to get out of here.

What about you though?

What about you?

I learned nothing.

I learned to nothing.

No,

I I learned

Let's see.

What did I learn?
