The second hour of the John & Gordy show opened with the surprisingly emotional "Edelweiss" from The Sound of Music, which the host joked made him tear up and got him in the holiday spirit, before immediately pivoting to the grim, never-ending saga of the Epstein files.
After that, Jim Santelle began discussing the surprising decision by Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson regarding emergency funding for the SNAP food program. The initial order from a district judge required the Trump administration to immediately fund SNAP, but when the case reached Jackson as the assigned justice for that circuit, she issued a stay to prevent immediate action. John, Gordy and Jim speculated that the justices may have already voted in their private conference last Friday on the legality of the Administration's tariffs, with a potential majority having voted to strike them down.
