This week’s special Halloween edition of The Show with John and Gordy was full of spooky fun and fascinating guests! One of the highlights was our conversation with Pam Jahnke, who joined us to celebrate International Bat Appreciation Week—a topic that couldn’t have been more fitting for Halloween. Pam shared some surprising facts about bats, their importance to agriculture and ecosystems, and helped clear up some of the myths that make these creatures seem scarier than they are.

Along with the Halloween spirit in the studio, John and Gordy kept things light with seasonal stories, laughs, and plenty of tricks (and treats) for listeners (even though Gordy doesn't believe in ghosts). From eerie fun facts to friendly banter, it was a festive episode that celebrated both the spooky season and the natural world’s unsung heroes—bats!
