Coach Tom Sadler joins us.

Coach, as you look at the start of the conference season, are you looking forward to it tonight?

I am.

We've been anticipating this home game against Dodgeville and making some necessary preparations for the game.

I know that you lost Tuesday night.

I know they did as well.

What can you take from early season scores?

Well, you can see where you need to improve.

So we've been taking time at practice to work on some of those spots that needed improvement and build upon the things that we're working already.

I know defensive wise you've been given more goals than you would like.

What are some things and some changes you can make there?

Well, we're going to actually move our personnel around a little bit.

We're going to put some players in the back that we're playing up front, and we're going to do a little bit of shuffling of players in the midfield.

What do

you know

about Dodge Point this year so far, Tom?

Well, I know they played a very good Lake Mills team and lost 9-0.

So I think both Dodgeville and the Hornets are going to be hungry for a victory tonight.

Who's in goal for you this year?

This year we have Caleb Federle, a senior in goal, and then we also have Seth Gould as a keeper.

So

how do you determine who plays or how do you work that coach?

Well, right now that's something we're working out with our trainer.

Seth Gald is coming back from an injury.

And so we've been playing Caleb and hopefully Seth will be suited up and ready to play some minutes tonight.

And what about offensively, who do you look at as your leaders, your forwards?

We have goals this season from Sean Adams and Landon Williams.

So they're both showing good leadership.

They're seniors and they both have already found the net.

And looking at this stretch of games, you

get to September, this is the busiest month of the season, isn't it?

That's correct.

This is where the conditioning that we put in during the intensive training week really pays off.

We're hoping to avoid injuries and overcome our opponents.

With the warm weather

we've had, this is worse than the start of the season, but I'm guessing this is where conditioning pays off, isn't it?

That's correct.

Conditioning and hydration.

We've been really going through the water at practices, and I'm happy to see that the guys are remaining hydrated during this heat.

All right, sounds good.

Good luck, as you get ready for Dodge Point tonight, Coach.

Thank you, Phil.

Time for kickoff.

Richland Center going from our left to our right and Dodge Point our right to our left.

Right away the ball winds up here near midfield and out of bounds and we're underway.

Richland Center picks up on it.

Mata is there, brings it back to the near side and Henry Martin.

Martin drops it back to Burkhammer.

Ornate's trying to work it across the midfield stripe.

and do momentarily.

Midfield play continues.

The ball is going to ricochet and then roll way into deep into territory of Richland Center trying to get down near the 18 yard line.

Ball comes back to the left side.

Henry Martin and now it's going to be defenced and shot out of bounds as Dodge Point marks it on defense and the Horts will throw it in here from the near side.

Good to have you along here underway.

80 minutes of soccer in the Southwest Wisconsin Conference.

There's the throw in.

Dodge Point giving a little bit of a ruckus here on the near side.

Eventually there's going to be a dead ball.

Richland Center gives up the ball here on the near side and Dodge Point will take over.

Both teams in need of a win this evening as Dodge Point comes in with a 0-3 record.

Richland Center 0-2 on the young season.

A lot of the Southwest teams have not done well in the preseason but a lot of times playing up, playing Madison area schools as is the case with

Dodge Point most recently, Platteville and Caster the only team to start with a winning record in the league at 2-1.

Play resumes, ball around the midfield line going to be punched out of bounds, down around the near side corner flag and Dodge Point will have the throw in as well.

Both teams is kind of trying to get into a rhythm here early on and the ball will be brought in from the near side.

So Dodge Point will toss it in play.

and work it near the near side, working it to the left Peyton Ellsner.

Header try by Mada of the Hornets back to Dodge Point and the ball pinballs out near the midfield line and brought back now by Massimo Robinson.

Robinson has the ball lifted momentarily by the Hornets, ball at midfield.

That original center makes it go the other way.

Pass by Johnson, comes back to the left side.

Now Jordan tries again, passes left side in front of the Dodge Point bench.

Now a centering pass.

looking for Henry Martin, cleaned out by Dodge Point, and now defensively, Connor Stoltz just drills it out of bounds near the Hornet bench.

So Dodge Point will have the ball, good field position for them.

They will have a throw in right around the 40 yard line of the football field.

Here comes the throw in.

Down near the corner, it does stay in bounds, and now a lot of bounds.

It will be Richelm Center ball.

No score underway three minutes into the contest here tonight courtesy of the WRCO sports boosters from the raised to at best center Rockwell Automation Sports Desk We are set up tonight for the action under the lights model with a ball for the Hornets brings it across the midfield line looking to pass and Trying to find a man in the opening.

It's going to be out of bounds Hornets again unable to connect Sean Adams was there, but the ball tear him down about it'll belong to

Dodge Point, they bring it back in quickly across the midfield line.

Hornets intercept, installs, drills at deep into Richland Center Territory.

A foot race on the near side, now catching up with it, is Landon Williams.

Williams down near the corner, poshed out of bounds by Dodge Point's Owen Weier, and the Hornets will have the ball on a throw in.

So really good field position.

Here's the throw in.

They look at four Adams.

They head over there on the right side by Cody Pauls.

Paul steps in in between a couple of defenders.

The ball rolls loose into the keeper's hands for the first time tonight.

Carter Reed for Dodge Point will clear it out with a long goal kick.

Ball that's going to sail right to midfield and the Hornets try to control it.

Jordan Johnson backs it up now to Connor Stoltz.

Stoltz drills it across looking on the side over there on the left side and rolls free and into the hands.

of the keeper.

They were looking again for Sean Adams where the Horns and the Dodge Point keeper will again put a toe into it into the human air here this evening.

Boy, it feels like summertime.

Ball in midfield.

Mata gets it back for the Horns.

Thries a quick short route now to Mata.

Mata back to the middle.

Side stepping now and Martin in the middle going to the left side looking for Sean Adams and Dodge Point clears it out.

The ball is going to roll out of bounds near the Dodge Point bench.

Hornets will throw it in.

Pass in the middle.

Hornets punch it through.

They're going to get loose.

Platteville in volleyball, leading Lancaster, one set to none.

Highland 1-0 up on Cassville.

West Salem 1-0 up on Verroqua.

Platteville and Edgerton scoreless in the first half in soccer.

Cubs and Brewers, Cubs leading 2-1 in that game.

Also, word is from the Richland Center Ithaca Cross Country team.

Eric Minda messaging me and he says, the teams ran well, but he says the heat was brutal.

Several runners passed out or collapsed tonight in that.

That's not good.

Not used to that kind of heat, even though actually they didn't really even practice first part of the year in the heat, but they have been in it the last week or so.

Owen Dreyer setting a course record for the second straight year.

So a little more about that coming up on the Hornets Meet.

which was held tonight in Baroque.

Kickoff for the second half.

We're underway.

Hornets leading 2-0 here in high school soccer from WRCO Sports.

Dodge Point in the white with the red lettering.

Hornets in the orange with the black lettering.

Although both teams have similar school colors.

Dodge Point working it on the left side.

Finding Peyton Ellsner hanging out on that left side, driving down near the goal line.

Ellsner with a pass right in front of the goal.

It crosses the goal line and it stays in bounds and Hornets will protect it on the near side trying to get it out of there and they eventually will.

Played on the near side by Jordan Johnson and then kept in bounds.

Nice sidestep there for the Horns and bringing it up along the touch line Sean Adams stays in bounds stadium side of the field and with two goals in the first half Adams number seven gives it off to Mata Mata stays in bounds dodge point with a quick steal taken on the left near side is Cordosa and The ball out of bounds it'll be Richel the center getting back on the defense A shout out in the first half for the defense Caleb federally remains in goal

for the Hornets and Carter Reed in goal for Dodge Point.

So a dead ball in bounds just across the midfield flag and Jackson Wettig will start at long left footed kick down into the middle now inside the box and federally with a diving effort comes up with a play right in front of Peyton Ellsner.

So nice play by the Hornet keeper and he will bring it out near midfield stolen at close range.

by Dodge Point they got something going again on offense Hornet defense trying to catch up and Stoltz will muscle it away ball comes out cleared on the left side stolen by Dodge Point they'll step around to get a look and they hit a high one over the bar not about So Dodge Point looking a little bit better on offense here in this second half Hornet's trying to respond and and meet that enthusiasm here as we start the second half Hornet's up

two goals to none just into the action here at a vitus rip field dodge point jv winning three to one in the early match up tonight long kick by federally deflected by dodge point it bounces free adam is trying to protect it on the near side and wins the battle keeps it going gives a quick little pooch to the left side for nelson and it's going to be knocked out of bounds and it will be original center ball so dodge point will

Throw it in play.

Here comes the throw.

Stays in bounds.

Trying to fight for position is landed Williams.

Williams giving it back to Adams.

Adams on the near side steps around.

Almost tackle brings it into the middle now.

Nice pass.

Good see of the field and Paul's pulls the trigger.

It's a high one through the uprights amount of bounds.

So Hornets had it set up for a decent look.

And they'll get back on the defensive side tonight Hornets volleyball team playing tonight against Dodgeville and Dodgeville is here So bringing it in play will be the keeper Carter Reed Reed drives it.

It stays on the ground in bounds up near midfield Hornets will take over

And Dodge Point takes it over at midfield.

They've got something going now.

Hornets on the run trying to get up into the defensive zone.

Knocked down by the Hornets.

Burke Hammer keeps it in bounds.

Now rolls out in front of the Dodge Point bench, but it allows the Hornets to kind of get caught up a little bit.

There's a throw in.

It goes down near the goal line.

And there's a kick with an angle.

Nice catch by the keeper, Caleb Federley.

Dodge Point.

Getting a nice beat on that one.

I thought when it left the foot it didn't really have a shot at getting in the net, but it did as we watched it.

It really angled Kind of had a slice on it federally able to make the play ball goes out of bounds on the goal kick at midfield Dodge point takes over with a throw in Hornets immediately pounce on it with a header Mata with the ball drops it back to the defense and Stoltz will launch it up over the top trying to get on the attack looking on the side of Adams

Defended by Dodge Point and the ball rolls out of bounds stadium side They'll bring it in across the touch line.

There's the throw in by Jordan Johnson Mata up near midfield is pushed and there will be a call the ball is going to be dropped down for a dead ball situation and the Hornets will start it in play again from the nearest side number 24 Cody Paul's Who's had the strong foot tonight?

Strong leg I don't I guess your foot is strong too He's been called upon some good situations now we'll get it started here on the dead ball and looking at the field The big picture here's

a

long kick down near the top of the 18 is going to be headed by the Hornets He goes to the right side Richelon Center pushing it near the goal Gonna be punched out by dodge point out of bounds on the far side Richelon Center will throw it in good field position of 15 yards

to the south of the corner flag.

Pass comes in play.

Ornates keep it in bounds.

Defended well on the far side of that field looking to get it in the center toward Monod and it's going to be taken by Dodge Point and they've got a little running room on the far side.

Good dribble bringing it back in the middle.

Dodge Point looking over the whole field and the play is stopped for.

It looks like offside.

It'll be coming back to Richland Center right around the 35 yard line of the football field on.

the chance that Richland Center can get it going again.

We go back to the pass, ball up near midfield, and now the Hornets cross midfield.

They're going to look to the right side, defective by Dodge Point out of bounds.

They defend it, punch it out.

Hornets will have it on a throw in here.

We're about seven minutes in with the second half.

Hornets leading two goals to nine if you're just joining us here on the radio.

And so Dodge Point,

Trying to defend as Richeln Center brings it in play.

Modest gives the pass along the left side, punched out of bounds by Dodge Point again.

This time I believe it's going to Dodge Point.

Kind of a long ways away from our vantage point, but Dodge Point will have the throw in and here comes the chance.

Deflected by the Hornets, it goes out of bounds again.

Here's a throw in Burkham replace it off the body ball goes out of bounds It'll belong to dodge point right in front of their bench Hornet defense catching up.

Here's a long throw in Connor Stoltz will let it go the ball rolls all the way downfield and across the touch line or the goal line that time so it's coming back to the keeper and Caleb federally Puts it in play sets it up Richland Center scurrying downfield

And here comes the kick by Pulse with the approach.

There's a long shot down around the midfield line headed by Dodge Point.

They'll keep it and remain in business here on the offense.

Ball comes near side near the top of the 18.

Jordan Johnson clears it out to the far side and the Richland Center trying to protect the ball goes out of bounds.

It will be your Richland Center ball.

Hornets will have it defended well again.

had given some water breaks tonight a couple of times in JV at least once in the first half of varsity.

Still a very humid night here.

And it does change things, maybe challenge the conditioning.

The Hornets have 30 players on the roster this year.

Lots that they can call upon.

Here's a long kick by Johnson crosses the midfield line and Adams

trying to avoid being hooked, keeps the ball in play right around the touch line, stadium side, drives down near the corner, now knocked down, Dodge Point going physical, trying to keep that ball away, pass to the right side, and it's going to be deflected by Dodge Point.

Jordan Johnson saves it back to the middle, looking for Mata, and he will be called.

He gives a chance to get the ball or goes for the ball and runs over to Dodge Point player.

It goes back to Dodge Point.

The visitor is here tonight.

Nine minutes into the second half or right around the 49 minute mark of the contest This ball crosses midfield played by dodge point Mada is hooked and then goes down hard There's the call on dodge point dead ball right around about five yards shy of the midfield flags

and Cody Pauls will start it in play again.

We'll look it over and the Horns get into position now.

Pauls looks over the field.

He's got two men out flanking into the left and right and he'll go the long route right down the middle of the field headed at the 18 by Dodge Point driving it out near the 40 yard line.

They're going to cross it left side keeping it in bounds and it's going to go out of bounds off of number nine, Massimo Robinson.

It'll be brought in again by the Horns.

Johnson throws it in, Hornets unable to control it on the pass to Martin and it comes back now to Richland Center and out of bounds Dodge Point throws it, it's going to be off of the Hornets, touch flag right around the middle of the field flag across the touch line.

Dodge Point, Jackson Wettig, middle of the field, looks to the right side.

Now gunning it down field for Cardosa.

Cardosa along the goal line, centers it in the middle, now deflected by the Hornet defense, popped up by Cardosa, and it's driven down by the Hornets, sliding in there, trying to get something out of Dodge Point.

It comes out and the Hornets defend it again.

Still not safe though, Dodge Point recoiling.

Ball comes back to Wettig.

Wettig drops it back near midfield.

Dodge Point catches its collective breath now.

Hornets trying to defend, ball comes to the right side.

Mancuso drops it back to the middle.

Mata protecting the ball with the body.

Mata gives it back to Pauls.

And Cody launches one left side out of bounds.

It'll be Dodge Point with possession.

They will throw it in across the touchline.

Looks like Ritzel Center is up on Dodgeville 1-0 in high school volleyball tonight.

Here comes the pass into the middle and now the Hornets have to scramble and it's going to be federally just driving it up with a foot back to the left side played by Chepesky.

Trying his shot is Wazarek for Dodge Point, deflected by the Hornets.

Adams near midfield trying to clear that out.

The ball rolls to the right side.

Chepesky will recoil and now try to drop it down inside the box played by Connor Stoltz.

He is the enforcer, brings it up near midfield and is going to be deflected left side by Bram Kruel.

Kruel getting it off to Ellsner, Peyton on the far side, defended well, drives it into the middle.

Going to be played there by Robinson, drives it left side and now a long shot, harmlessly to the right side across the goal line by Dodge Point.

Their shots on goal have been

Little bit out of range here in the second half.

They've had a couple of looks.

Andrew Mata will get a breather.

He goes to the sidelines on the substitution and the Hornets bring back Sean Adams, I think.

Let's see.

Checking the numbers.

Sean was already out there.

I'm sorry.

It's Wesley Adams, number 21.

He's a freshman.

All right, back into action.

Dodge Point takes it from midfield launching it up and on the right side into the open area.

Hernandez Cardosa tries a shot going to be played by Federle, the keeper for Richland Center.

Federle comes out with a left foot, poaches it up near Adams.

Adams bicycle style kick gets it into the offensive side looking to the left side protected by Dodge Point across the midfield line and now they'll drop it off for Cardosa.

In the right side area, it's going to be defended by Jordan Johnson.

It goes out of bounds.

Cardosa will have it, throws it in, along the touch line.

Hornets try to protect it.

It's going to be Nelson.

Josh dropping it back.

Now to Adams and Wesley taking it left side.

Trying a shot is wedding.

It caroms off of the Hornets, goes wide and off of Nash Burkehammer and out of bounds.

Far side of the field, it will be Dodge Point ball.

Little over 14 minutes into the second half.

Again, the Hornets continue to lead this 2-0 in high school soccer.

Hornets trying to weave it up near midfield.

It's going to be out of bounds and they're unable to control it across the touch line.

Dodge point will throw it in.

Both teams have been substituting quite well.

Tonight, I think you kind of have to on a warm night.

All comes to the near side and Dodge point will catch up with it.

Cardoso.

Drops it back now to Mancuso and he'll take a shot near side right of the upright and it's going to be played on a sliding play by Caleb Federle So Caleb brings it out Put so good leg into it up near midfield Adams Shawn protecting it Played for a moment by Nelson now back to Cardoso Cardoso tries it drives it back to the middle

And now deflected, and that one is going to be stopped, and a penalty is called on Dodge Point.

Well, check that.

It goes the other way.

Oh, this is going to be a tough one.

It's going to be a penalty against the Hornets.

So Dodge Point will get a chance, a look.

Penalty kick situation.

Jackson Wettig will be starting the ball.

Back around the 20-yard line, and now here's the approach, lobs it over the wall, knocked down by Federle, and he just dives on it.

Risking life and limb, so the Hornets avoid giving up the score on the penalty kick, and Federle will clear it out near midfield, a one-hopper.

Far side, the header try, trying to get it into the offensive side by Adams.

Dodge point.

clears the way over to the far side again number 21 Eli broke up and Play is stopped again.

That's called on the Hornets another penalty kick situation direct kick on the left side now anticipated as dodge point We'll get it going here to nothing the Hornets in the lead Right about 24 minutes remaining in the second half tonight at our CHS

Here's the approach by dodge points are going to get it down inside There's a real huddle of action there knocked away a header try by the Hornets now dodge point gets one into the net has a little bit of a rebound goal given up there and They get it passed federally for the score Again very confusing as everybody was kind of lined up in the middle and they were able to

get the score and they're on the board.

It goes two to one now.

Dodge Point is on the board and this one is interesting.

Good matchup.

Well played here tonight for Dodge Point.

Good round of applause for the kick that made it in the net.

Again, the Hornet defense had it played pretty well but Dodge Point able to get the rebound and drive it in.

That goes

on the board at 23.40 here tonight.

Dodge points, first goal, 2 to 1 here.

The goal scored by Dodge Point, Massimo Robinson, given credit for the goal for Dodge Point, so he is able to get it in the net, get on a little bit of a scrum in front of the net, it came loose and he put it in.

Let's pick up on the play.

Dead Ball situation.

Cody Pauls will drive it from midfield down inside the box and now it's going to be deflected over to the far side played by the Hornets for a moment.

And it looks like it's going to come back again.

Play will resume.

I don't know if they started and I'm not sure they were ready to start.

Dodge Point was looking for a substitution and the Hornets went ahead and kicked it.

So they're going to resume play and

Get it started again here.

Two to one score.

Tight ball game at a vitus rip field tonight.

So Cody Pauls will do it again.

Pauls with the approach drops it way to the right side.

Hornets trying to catch up with it and the keeper Carter Reed comes out and makes the play for Dodge Point.

So everybody heads backwards.

Now this is the night when the conditioning comes in when it's this muggy and you're taking that many steps in soccer.

And some of these players have not had much, if any, of a breather, other than the 10-minute halftime.

Ball out of bounds at midfield.

Substitution, Sandro Mada returns for RC, taking the place back in the middle of the field area, and the Hornets will throw it in near the dodge point bench.

Here's the toss in.

They go right away to Mada.

Mada has it deflected.

Dodge point is there.

Hornets throwing on the attack.

And it's going to be deflected by Dodge Point, Richland Center, and midfield play continues.

Lots of physicalness out there, a yellow card marked on one of the hornets now, I believe.

So play will be stopped.

So we've had yellow cards that last a couple of moments on each team.

And now Dodge Point,

We'll start it in play.

They've got one more substitution coming in.

We have about 20 minutes remaining here in high school soccer tonight.

So play will resume here in a moment.

Dodge point coach Kyle Glynn getting the substitutions made.

Now here's a long shot by Wettig.

What a hopper right into the bread basket of Caleb Federle.

He'll bowl it out on the near side.

and picking up on the dribble now.

Bryce and Barrett for Richland Center, but 25.

Young squad out there for the Hornets tonight.

Jordan Johnson is sophomore on the near side, keeps it in bounds.

Ball comes back to Mada.

Mada on the near side.

Hornets trying to catch up and now try to find something on the offense.

Stoltz and Johnson and the ball goes out of bounds.

Hornets lose it.

It'll be Dodge Point with the ball and pretty good field shape right now as they will throw it in.

Going to be parallel to the goal line, about 20 yards out, and they will throw it in and get it started here.

Dodge point looking for that tying goal, and they are going to stop play right here.

It's water break time.

With 19-21 remaining tonight, it is 2-1 Richland Center leading in high school boy soccer from WRCO and wrco.com.

Time out for a water break here at Richland Center High School and one of Richland Center football coach Gary Schwartz's dried apples that he gives me every season.

We get stocked up here in the booth and hands off to Mr. Clarkin and the crew.

They did some really nice remodeling here on the booth in the offseason.

I noticed that last Friday night when we were here for football, but they've carpeted the place.

first time that this facility has ever had carpeting.

And it really, really improves the look and kind of the feel.

And there was some tile in here that had been in since they built the stadium.

And because of the heat coming through the glass, I think through the year is that it kind of come loose and was peeling off.

And so it was a nice thing to get the floor all smoothed out and carpeted here.

And now as June kicks me out, I got a good place to hang out here.

Up here with all my friends.

Water break is over.

Two to one.

The stretch drive in this one.

Less than 20 minutes remaining in the contest.

Hornets up.

Two to one.

Dodge point will resume with action on the near side with a throw in, and they will get it started.

There's the toss by Chopeski down around the goal line, gets it right away back, and now tries a short pass.

They're trying to pick apart that Hornet defense, punching it out of bounds.

Richland Center makes the play.

That was Barrett again.

So here comes the throw in by Chepesky, gets it in for a header try, stole swings, drives it out, Barrett drives it right side and the Hornets clearing it now on the right side, got a little bit of running room up near the midfield strike, pushing their way and that is going to be Andrew Melby.

Melby has it for a moment now, dribbin' out of bounds by Dutch point, it will be Richland Center ball.

So the Hornets have made progress as far as field position is concerned.

And here's the throw-in.

Mata protects the ball on the right side, steps around the would-be defender, and now brings it back to the middle of the field.

Hornets get it for a long drive across the left side.

They're looking for Adams, perhaps, down around the corner, Richland Center catching up with it.

Dodgeville defending it, and it's going to be out of bounds off of Richland Center.

Will be Dodge Point ball.

Deep in Richland Center territory, so the ball will come back the other way Or it's scoring both goals in the first half if you just joining us two to nothing there was to score at halftime and dodge point scoring just a few minutes ago To make it a one goal game Throw in by dodge point they cleared up near midfield Connor Stoles now drives it on the other side of the field and catching up with of the keeper Carter Reed who comes out in front of the

Hornet attackers and gets the ball on the far side of the field.

Will step up and then put a good boot into it.

Crossing the midfield, Stoltz, close proximity, knocked down by Dodge Point, and they'll break it free now on the near side.

They've got Cardosa, long shot, federally fully extended, goes in, knocks it down.

Hornets, Pauls, Burkhammer, and they're going to drive it on the left side, and the Hornets escape one.

Wow!

Out of bounds on the far side.

Caleb Federley went up, knocked it down, and then the ball was rolling.

There was an open net.

Federley was on the ground, and his defenders came to the rescue there

to

save the goal, or save it from being a goal.

And the score remains two to one.

Both teams looking to substitute.

They've been doing that freely tonight.

Hornets will throw it in.

Mata gets the pass.

Now threads the needle far side of the field.

I believe they let him too far.

It's going to be out of bounds dodge point ball Dodge point across the midfield line to evenly match teams and the score would of course reflect that tonight, but in terms of ability it looks to me that Things are pretty even tonight Going out of the game will be brace Bryson Barrett giving

some of the starters of breather tonight.

Looks like the defense remains the same for the Horns.

Ball on the right side, they're going to try to direct it.

Ball's trying a pass to the forwards.

It goes out of bounds.

It'll be long to Dodge Point.

Again, so play continuing there at the midfield line with just over 16 minutes remaining in the contest tonight.

Ball goes across midfield for Dodge Point and now back into RC territory.

Mata

steps around the defender and now trying to get out of the attack.

Mada threads it down the far side.

Hornets trying to catch up with a long pass and now Dodge Point with a pooch kick out of bounds across the touch line.

Richelon Center will throw it in.

They waste no time.

A header by Dodge Point out of bounds.

Richelon Center again with the ball.

Good field position.

Ball remarked out of bounds around the 20 yard line.

Ball comes in play.

Pass.

Formata the right side Martin tried to center it knocked down by dodge point right side and Dodge point United gonna clear it out They've got a little green space on the far side across the midfield line and now on the nearest side.

Oh

big collision and Yellow card is gonna be called On the Hornets, I believe So a big collision and the Hornets

Will take a player to the sidelines and another player as play resumes will come in to the picture Just over 15 minutes remaining here in the contest and a two-to-one score Whistle the Rex play to start and here is a long booming kick by Dodge Point and cradle them in federally and almost scored it out But he fell back on it there after a long kick by Hernandez Cardosa, so it comes back to

Federley, he clears it out on the near side, trying to keep it in bounds as Sean Adams, Adams steps inside, good ball control now brings it back to the middle of the field, tries to thread the needle pass, looking on the right side for number two, Andrew Melby.

Melby stops in mid does step and now it brings it back and a long shot to the wide to the left and across the goal line for the Hornets dodge point.

We'll get it back.

So the Hornets making some progress there, getting some better field position.

and working it over with lots of different combinations out there.

Number 18, Xander Johnson is out there as well.

It's getting a few of the freshmen into the contest again just to kind of give some of the more established players a little bit more of a breeder tonight.

Less than 15 minutes remaining, still a two to one game.

This is going to be a tight one down the stretch and it's going to become even more intense as this one

Ticks down under 10 a little bit later.

Ball on the right side now, getting update, driving it to the right side looking for a cutter.

Looking Andrew Melby's way, Dodge Point pops it out of bounds in front of the Hornet bench, 14 minutes remaining.

Throw comes in, Mada gets the deflection.

Andrew drives near the 18, he's going to look inside the box, gets around one, wouldn't be defender.

Drives a short pass off to Adams.

Adams defended well, his shot deflected by Dodge Point.

Cardosa with the ball.

and he'll bring it out to the near side, stadium side, just inside the touch line.

Steps around the middle flag, gets around the defender, and knocked away.

Burkhammer, nice play, and Jordan Johnson as well.

Gonna fly her up now to Mata.

Mata right side, Hornets into the offensive mode now.

Mata stepping in carefully, draws a crowd, and now steps back, looks things over, recoils as he looks inside, gets around the defender.

Hornets, so boy, a goal here would be huge.

Bass comes back to the right side.

It's going to be taken by Johnson.

Johnson left side and now defended by Dodge Point.

They get it up near midfield.

Hornets scrambling for the ball.

Good aggressive play.

Burkhammer in play.

Knocks the ball down, gets the tackle.

Ball rolls loose.

Played by Dodge Point and there is a call and a hook.

I'm one of the Richland Center players that goes back to Dodge Point.

Ball laid down.

Dead ball.

Right around the 35 yard line.

Dodge Point looking in.

Add to the goal, defended by Federley at the other end.

So a dead ball and everybody scrambling into position.

Lesson 13 to play.

Here's a long shot wide to the left and harmlessly into the night and no good.

So it comes back to the keeper.

Dodge point will bring in a substitute player.

They've got.

A couple of players that have been kind of saving.

Matthias Dydins, back into the lineup.

Gail Hernandez Cardosa, we've called his name quite a bit tonight as well.

And the Hornets get the ball in play.

Stoles looking to the near side, a quick pass to Nelson, Josh, opposite back to Jordan Johnson, Johnson, near Mada, midfield, played by Mancuso.

a dodge point, drives it into the area, one of his forwards, he goes out of bounds, it'll be original center ball on the stadium side.

11-42 remaining in the contest.

Gideon Abde will leave the ball game, he had the Hornet JV's lone goal tonight.

And replaced by Connor Stoltz back in the lineup.

Dodge Point drops it over the top and Federley, the keeper, comes out and makes the play.

So Federley with a kick up to midfield, played off the body, Horitz get it deflected on the right side.

Well played there by Martin.

Right around the midfield stripe, Horitz get a little break, they're gonna pass to the right side, got a little offense going now.

Dodge Point scrambling to keep up.

On the far side, boy, it's physical tonight.

Dodge Point drives it out of bounds.

Hornets will have it on the touch line.

Far side, both teams aggressively going after it there.

And Richfield Center will have the ball to throw it in, leaving 2-1 here, 10-41 remaining in the ballgame.

Here's the toss.

RC with the ball in play.

Backing it up, looking for Josh Nelson, cleared out by Dodge Point, out near midfield.

They've got it going now.

Hornet defense, backing up.

Ball out of bounds, Hornet defense getting into the lanes and Dodge point will throw it in right near their bench.

Quick toss in, Elzner with the ball, lost it and now Dodge point gets it after one of the Hornets falls down and Stoltz takes it away.

Connor looking up to the left side, it's going to be out of bounds, buys the defense a little time.

Dodge point will have it with a throw in.

Garrett Mancuso

patrolling the sidelines, drops it in play, a legal throw in, I believe.

The Hornets are gonna get it back.

Just less than 10 minutes remaining, two to one, Richland Center leading.

Cubs beat the Brewers tonight, two to one, boo, boo.

Thank you, Tim, but no thank you.

Platteville up on Lancaster in volleyball, two to nothing.

Highland defeats Cassville, three nothing in volleyball.

Well, Zika's tubing up on Ithaca Weston, 1-0.

Long kick by Dodge Point.

Oh, they got it in the net.

Caleb Federly fully extended.

Got up, got a fingertip on it, but couldn't stop it.

And Dodge Point scores kind of a surprise goal on the near side by Gail Hernandez Cardoso.

And we are tied at 2.

Oh, my goodness, that was a quick pull of the trigger.

And it comes back.

at the Richland County Fair Truck and Tractor Pull in Richland Center, September 11th.

Welcome back to Richland Center High School.

Dodge Point is tied it up with the unassisted goal by Gail Hernandez Cardoso and 823 remaining in the ball game here tonight as Richland Center and Dodge Point.

Go head to head here.

Now after two straight goals by the Horns, two straight goals by Dodge Point and the next goal will take the lead.

Dodge Point.

Trying to give up a little space in the hornets that gained a little bit of ground good field position the ball goes out of bounds just to the south of the Flag in the corner It's one thing.

I don't think we've had a corner kick this entire half that was close to it But not ball comes in it's going to be deflected by dodge point and they have got it on the run on the far side Dodge point up near midfield Hornet defense

kind of scrambling back and now Dodge Point seeing the field bringing it and now it's going to be Jordan Johnson driving that one into the night out of bounds in front of the Dodge Point bench 735 to go to two ballgame here in Southwest Conference soccer.

There's the throw in deflected by Burke Hammer out of bounds.

Dodge Point will have it.

Right around the 20 yard line to throw in and they're looking at things trying to set it up here.

And here comes the toss.

Strong toss in the middle.

Stoles with a header.

Pops it out on the sideline.

It's going to be defended by Dodge Point now as the Hornets get under the attack.

They're going to drop it over the top.

Looking for Sean Adams and the ball rolls ahead of him in the harmless way out of bounds.

Dodge Point gets it back.

Seven minutes remaining.

Tied at two here in high school soccer tonight.

Here's the throw in.

Richland Center takes over position.

Dodge point trying to get it over the defense headed once by Stoltz not driving it right back is Going to be dodge point and the Hornets are going to drive it across the goal line out of bounds in self-defense So it goes through the corner for a corner kick try for dodge point as they attempt to take the lead here tonight against the Hornets 2-2 ballgame 625 remaining in the contest

Ball's kill will have the ball in the far corner for Dodge Point.

Trying to set it up.

Hornets trying desperately to defend.

Here goes a high shot up above the 18.

It's going to be knocked down by the Hornet defense.

Ball rolls to the near side.

Look out for Cardosa.

He takes a drive and the Hornets try to keep it but can.

He goes across the goal line and the corner kick is coming up now from the near side.

Second corner kick of a half Dodge Point.

second corner kick with a matter of seconds separating them.

They will try it from the near side now with 545 to go.

Tie ball game.

Colin Paulskill moves to the near side and will start it from the corner.

There's the approach right in front of that.

Knocked down by the Hornet defense.

They'll punch it out, head or try by Albright back to the left side.

Knocked down by the Hornet defense and out to Adams.

Or it's trying to get a little breathing room.

Adams off to Mada on the near side as they make their way across midfield.

Mada driving it up over the top of the defense.

The keeper is way out.

Pops it near the midfield line.

Hornets on the attack, driving it to the far side.

RC trying to get it down and dirty with Sean Adams.

It's going to be popped out of bounds by the Hornets off of Dodge Point.

Richland Center throw in.

Good field position.

Getting it down inside the 18 and it's going to be

Out of the near side area, Hornets going to keep it on their end.

Well played and now relaunching, recoiling.

There's a shot by Jordan Johnson looking for Adams.

And over his head he goes across the goal line and out of bounds.

Dodge point gets it back.

4-41 to play.

Coach Kyle Glen bringing in a couple of new players for refreshments here tonight.

On a warm night tied at 2-4-30 remaining in the contest.

Two goals in the second half for Dodge point is even things up or it's trying to at least maintain a tie They'd like to score ball comes in Mata tries it off the body Jordan Johnson pops it up looking for Adams and that one is going to drop in it's going to be stopped on the far side and a dead ball on the middle of the field and That's going to be a call against Richland Center.

So Jackson the wedding will start it in play again

four dodge point.

Less than four minutes remaining in this tie contest.

Wedding with a long drive gets it over the top of the defense and federally comes out and tackles the ball right around the 18.

Hornet keeper bowls it out to the right side.

RC gonna try to make some headway.

They're gonna get it up near midfield.

Both teams try that clamor for something to take a lead in this one.

Get a lead late and get out with a conference win.

Down the sideline it goes.

Hornets are trying to pursue that ball.

It's going to be out of bounds off of Dodge Point in front of the Hornets' match.

3-24 to play.

RC will throw it in.

They're going to look for the short route.

Mada makes the play.

And Andrew, corrals the ball.

Richelm Center looking along the far side.

The touch line.

They're going to make a move around the Dodge Point defender, getting it into the top of the box.

Knocked down by Dodge Point, Mata calmly picks up on the dribble, far side, muscles his way over to the right side, stays in bounds, Andrew Mata now is trep, and does it play a stop.

Hornets will get a chance here with 2-51 remaining in the contest.

So not a direct kick, but still a chance to lay it down and look over the area, possibly get it over the wall made by Dodge Point, looking into the middle.

Hornets trying to set up shop here.

Wow, it would be big if the Hornets could get something in here.

Mata and company 232 remaining in this tie ball game.

Mata, with the approach, he's going to loft it over the top and right on the right side, touch by the Hornets, but falling out of his read.

Oh my goodness, that was close.

Mata, start of it, got it off and there was a Hornet sneaking around the corner, trying to pop it in play and I believe that was landed Williams.

and it was stopped by Carter Reed of Dodge Point, down to two minutes now, ball up near midfield.

Dodge Point trying to cross over on the left side, it comes back now to Mancuso, and now Goebbel drops it over the top, or a defense has got to catch up, and here is Stoltz.

Dodge Point steps in, takes a shot, it is going to be tipped, and all of the bounds off of Federle makes the play.

I believe there is a penalty

Down there and the Hornets have a player down.

It's got to be a cramp, I would think, touch point actually helping to stretch the leg there.

This is the point in the contest where it gets a little bit tight.

Got to keep the fluids going all game long.

So they are stretching out the leg.

I think they've stopped the time they did.

A minute 29 remaining.

2-2 ball game here at Aviva's Rip Field.

The game has not disappointed.

We thought it was going to be close coming in, and it certainly is, and has been.

Dodge Point won the JV game by a score of 3-1.

But Dodge Point's going to get a chance at a indirect kick here.

We'll see how it goes as the Hornets try to defend.

Volleyball tonight.

Fenimore 3-0 over Boscobel.

Mineral point 3-0 over Southwestern.

At last word, Plattville had lead on Lancaster, two sets to none, and we knew Richland Center won the opening match against Dodgeville in volleyball tonight.

Nice effort by the Dodgeville, DodgePoint team, helping out one of the Hornets who came up a little bit lame off the play, so he will leave the ball game on the injury time.

A minute 29 remaining in this one, tied at two.

And RC lining up now for, it'll go as they score a corner kick, they did.

I think I said a direct kick, but it is a corner kick.

And Dodge point starts it from the near side.

Dropping it high, right in the middle of the fray, the ball goes over to the left side, harmlessly toward the corner.

Ornates try to clear it out, and Adams is there.

Two-two ball game.

Dodge Point steals it at close range.

He'll take a shot.

Federally can't fall on it.

Squirts by him and goes into the net.

And Dodge Point has just taken the lead.

Wousers.

Hornets almost made the stop.

They give up their third consecutive goal here in this one.

And Dodge Point takes the lead with a minute 15 remaining.

He had it stopped, it squirted out and rolled across the line into the goal and Dodge Point takes the lead in this conference action three to two, just 115 remaining and now the Hornets have to hope for some sort of burst of adrenaline and to try to get one in to tie this up here in conference action.

back to Paul's he'll drop it over the top looking to the right side trying to gun it in front of one of the forwards and the good range for Reid the keeper comes out and makes the play way over in the corner down to a minute remaining Reid looks it over Hornets gonna try to maybe steal it at close range and Reid not allowing that it's gonna pop one across midfield

Connor Stoltz catches up with it.

Dodge point breaks away.

Now they're going to bop it away from him and they're going to take a shot on goal.

And this one is stopped by Federle.

Federle makes the play.

38 seconds remaining.

3-2 Dodge point.

This one.

bounces across midfield, good kick by Federley.

Header try by Sean Adams, looking left side for Josh Nelson, driven out of bounds by Dodge Point.

Hornets will try again, gotta try to tie it.

Stoltz throws it in, looking at Nelson.

Now driving near side, taking a shot.

Hornets' message is it's going to be played there by Reed to the keeper.

That was the opportunity right there.

Ten seconds remaining.

Reed will drive it out near midfield and Dodge Point is going to get out of here with a win tonight as the final seconds tick off.

And Dodge Point, scoring three goals in the second half, defeat the Hornets to the tune of 3-2.

Welcome back to Richland Center High School.

A win for Dodge Point tonight.

Here's a recap of the game.

Richland Center put up two goals in the first half.

The first

right around the 25-minute mark set up by Nash Burkhammer, a centering pass at a long shot by Sean Adams, made it 1-0 Richland Center.

Sean would score with just over 11 minutes remaining in the half on a direct penalty kick that put the Hornets up 2-0.

That was a scored halftime, but unfortunately that would be the last goal for Richland Center.

Dodge Point coming back with the first one from Massimo Robinson, that was with 23 minutes gone in the

second half, and then the next goal came from Gale Hernandez-Cordoso, that with 8 minutes 11 seconds remaining, that tied the score, and then with a minute 15 remaining in action, Jackson Wettig hit the net, and that would make it a 3-2 lead.
