aCourts are in the headlines with news that a judge says the president’s executive order limiting funds to NPR and PBS isn’t lawful, meanwhile the Wisconsin Supreme Court election is one week away, and in the US Supreme Court the president will be attending oral arguments in the birthright citizenship case. In other legal system news, some January 6 rioters are suing police for indiscriminate use of force that caused emotional and physical harm on that day. 

In Wisconsin, more bills are hitting Governor Tony Evers’ desk and he is using the veto pen against some. We discuss vetoes against bills that would have restricted gender care and transgender athletic participation.
