Brandi Grayson flies solo today as she talks about some history and some politricks. Opening the show Brandi reflects on bringing her son to Washington DC to check out the National Museum of African American History and Culture. While there she got a taste of what the national guard’s deployment in the city is like.

Throughout the hour Brandi explores who Dr. Amos Wilson was. The African American psychologist studied the falsification of black consciousness. Brandi also talks about white fragility and Assata Shakur, a black activist who was part of the Black Panther movement. Shakur was best known for being part of the Black Liberation Army. She recently died in Cuba, where she was in exile after escaping from the United States where she had been jailed while she was pregnant.
