Two Republican lawmakers released a proposal Monday that promises to eliminate nearly all state taxes on retirement income for Wisconsin residents. Individual filers aged 67 or older would be exempt from paying taxes on the first $100,000 of annual retirement income, while married and joint filers would see a tax exemption for the first $150,000. We discuss who this bill would actually help and whether or not retaining an aging population is the best move for our economy.
