High Schools Rivals Face Off In Rematch

Two city rivals went head-to-head Tuesday night as Racine Lutheran hosted Racine St. Catherine’s in a highly anticipated showdown on WRJN.

Both squads entered the matchup ranked inside the top 30 in the state, and they played like it.

It was a tale of two halves. St. Catherine’s set the tone early, building momentum and taking a 25–15 lead into halftime. But Racine Lutheran flipped the script after the break. The hosts stormed back, outscoring St. Catherine’s 31–19 in the second half, clawing their way back and holding on down the stretch for a gritty 46–44 victory in one of the tightest games of the season.

The win evened the season series between the rivals. St. Catherine’s claimed the first meeting 75–74, making it clear just how evenly matched these two programs are every time they share the floor.

With performances like this, both teams continue to prove they’re legitimate contenders as they push toward a potential state tournament run.
