Heidi Kristin Kruizenga

age 48, of Phillips, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Aspirus Medford Hospital.

Heidi was born on July 29, 1977, in Illinois, the daughter of Frank and Danielle “Dee” (Malcezicz) Kruizenga. She moved to Phillips with her family and graduated from Phillips High School in 1995.  She was extremely proud of her forever “29” years of work at the Red Apple Center-formerly known as the Achievement Center where she began attending in 1996.  There she made numerous friends and shared many exaggerated stories in her usual Heidi fashion.

Heidi was a spitfire — independent, strong-willed, and full of creativity. She loved her dogs, writing, music, and WWF wrestling. She enjoyed Saturdays playing darts and pool, along with her weekly shopping trips. Getting her nails done and pedicures brought her joy, and she had a special love for collecting stickers and school supplies. Her happiest routines were “dump day” with her dad, a cherished tradition they shared for years, filled with love, humor and memories only the two of them could truly understand, ending with McDonald’s and enjoying cheeseburgers together.

Heidi brought color, laughter, hugs (if she liked you), and unmistakable personality into the lives of everyone who knew her. She lived life boldly, loudly, and entirely on her own terms, uniquely her – and the world is a little quieter without her spark.

She is survived by her mother, Dee Kruizenga; her brother, Danny (Joan); aunts, uncles, remarkable friends, and not to forget some of her favorite people, Triple H, her cousins, Zack & Cody Martin, and Jackie Dawson.

She was preceded in death by her best friend and father Frank, who she cherished and is now reunited with.

A private graveside service will be held, with burial next to her dad, Frank.
