Ned Arthur Slocum, 73, Phillips

Ned Arthur Slocum, age 73, of Phillips, passed away peacefully on Thursday July 31, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center-Park Falls.

Ned was born on March 4, 1952, in Phillips, the son of Ned Slocum and Jean Johnson Spencer. Over the years, he ventured to Illinois, Colorado, Arizona and various towns in Wisconsin before returning to the place he loved most. Ned was known for being a hardworking man who took pride in simple joys—fishing, hunting, spending time with wonderful friends and neighbors around Lake Ten, and, of course, his beloved Green Bay Packers.

He is survived by his daughters: Mickela (Mike) Brusseau and Tina (Jeff) Gillihan, his four siblings: Kevin “Skip” Slocum, Debra (Kurt) Dicke, Shawn (Tammy) Slocum, and Shannon (Phil) Lopez, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Rory and Scott.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at the Marshfield Medical Center in Park Falls and all who knew Ned and shared in his Northwoods life. His grit, loyalty, and laid-back warmth will be dearly missed .
