The Legacy Museum & Veterans Center in Racine hosted an event to honor local heroes. Dedicated to preserving the stories of Racine’s service members, the museum features exhibits made possible by community donations of artifacts, uniforms, and photos. A special Memorial Day display paid tribute to those who served and sacrificed. The Veterans Center offered a welcoming space for veterans, families, and organizations to connect. Guests also enjoyed food and drinks at the Foxhole Lounge.

Racine Area veterans Inc and Racine County hosted a parade and ceremony on Memorial Day! The annual parade and ceremony went from west Racine to Graceland Cemetery, which included a wreath laying, taps playing, and remarks from members of local veterans’ organizations.

The Village of Sturtevant held their annual Memorial Day Parade on Saturday, as they honored and remembered the brave men and women who served our country.

Racine County held their Memorial Day Parade on Monday the 26th. The weekend included a community parade, a remembrance ceremony, public safety updates and veteran outreach efforts.

On Friday, the Racine Zoo offered free admission to all active-Duty service members and veterans as part of it’s ‘Red, White and Zoo’ appreciation Day.

The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs held a Memorial Day ceremony at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove. The event has been going on for more than 25 years as they highlight the importance of remembering the service and sacrifice of the state’s and nation’s military servicemembers and veterans.
