
RIPON, Wis (WRPN)-The Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 26-year-old Markesan woman for the UTV crash on April 18th that killed two people.
Forty-year-old Nicole Deaver of Fairwater was killed in the crash and 46-year-old Timothy Kamphuis of Fairwater died five days later. Another passenger Kristopher Keller of Ripon was injured in the accident.
Megan Zimmerman was arrested Thursday. Charges referred against her to the District Attorney’s Office include 2 counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle and one count of second-degree recklessly endangering safety.
The crash occurred on Princeton Road near Honeysuckle Lane. According to Chief Deputy Matt Vande Kolk the UTV was heading east on Princeton Road when it failed to negotiate a curve. None of the occupants were wearing seatbelts.
Vande Kolk says such an investigation tries to do the best for all involved. The Sheriff’s Office, DNR, State Patrol and others were involved in the investigation.
