Snakes!!!

What is it about this time of year that brings out the snakes!? I live in a wooded area, with nearby lakes and wetland. Nearly on a daily basis, I see a snake slithering across our road, or in my yard. Usually it’s when I’m walking through the yard unsuspectingly……and BAM, there’s a snake at my feet. Not gonna lie….it gives me the creeps. Oddly enough, it’s the little garter snakes that give me the willies, even more than big snakes. Not sure why. Especially odd considering that I used to play with those garter snakes when I was a kid. A college friend of mine had a 12 foot Burmese python. That thing never bothered me in any way. But that slithering little devil, garter snake……..ugh!
