Richland Center Fire Department paged to a house fire

The Richland Center Fire Department was paged to a house fire at 2235 Deep Well Lane Wednesday afternoon around 12:15p. When fire personnel arrived on scene, they found moderate smoke coming from the upstairs bedroom. 

Fire personnel were able to enter the residence and control the fire quickly and contained it to the one upstairs bedroom.  The house sustained moderate smoke damage and minor water damage.

Seven units and 23 firefighters responded and were on scene for an hour and a half. Richland County EMS assisted at the scene.
