A Baraboo man was taken into custody Saturday night after a disturbance outside a residence. At approximately 9:45, a Reedsburg police officer overheard a verbal disturbance in the distance near the intersection of South James Avenue and Clark Street. The officer located a small group arguing followed by two men physically fighting each other. Both accused the other of having a gun. The officer was able to de-escalate the incident while additional officers responded to assist. It was then determined that one of the men did have a loaded handgun and knife on them.
Aiden M Bebber, 20 of Baraboo, was arrested for Intentionally Pointing a Firearm at a Person, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Disorderly Conduct, Obstructing an Officer, and Possession of THC. Bebber was transported to Sauk County Jail.
The Reedsburg Police Department was assisted by the Sauk County Sheriff’s Department. A Sauk County K9 Unit assisted in checking the area for additional firearms
