
Some salaries approved at Richland County Board meeting
The Richland County Board approved the salaries for the sheriff, Clerk of Court, and Coroner.
For the Sheriff for 2027, $107,166 which is a 10% increase over the 2026 salary. The salary will then increase five percent each of the next three years of the term.
For the Clerk of Circuit Court for 2027, $87,320, a 10% increase over the 2026 salary. The salary will then increase five percent each of the remaining three years of the term.
The coroner will be paid $8,000 for 2027, an increase of 21.21% over the 2026 salary, plus $100 per call and $30 for cremation. For 2028 the salary will increase by four percent to $8,320 plus $105 per call and $35 per cremation. For 2029 the salary will again increase by four percent to $8,652 plus $110 per call and $40 per cremation. For 2030, the final year of the term, the salary shall once again increase by four percent to $8,998 plus $115 per call and $45 per cremation.
