
2026 district solo and ensemble contest held recently at the Richland Center High School
The 2026 district solo and ensemble contest was held Saturday at the Richland Center High School. It included 76 vocal events.
Twenty-four events received a star first and are moving on to compete at the state level. In Classical solos: Laura Stoltz, Skye Halverson, Riley Banker, Madi Crotsenberg, Maddie Mueller, Leah Chambers, and Micah Meyer. In Classical Duets: Pippa Ewing and Mara Puls, AJ Kloehn and Will Behling, and Elyse Stafslien and Natalie Schaller. In Musical Theater solos/duet: Madi Crotsenberg, Rachel Waterfall, Riley Banker, Olivia Menne, Leah Chambers, Amayrani Ortiz Arroyo, Micah Meyer, Maggie Keller, and Micah Meyer and Leah Chambers. Eighth graders going to state: the duet of Makenna Mueller and Rosalynn Troxel; and classical soloist: Rosalynn Troxel, Mila Marx, and Stella Woodhouse.
Thirty-two events received a first rating: Aundrea Nundahl, Milo Griffa, Carissa Thompson, Gracie Schmitz, Ava Martin, Ava Gottschall, Lacey Rotheray, Hunter Jennings, Kiernen Culver, Jaden Gullens, Ellie Girard, Breah Eggleston, Esme Rohn, Rose Carter, Maggie Keller, Kiernen Culver, Kim Cookie, Marshall Meyer, Erica Bernstien, Marcella Meurer, G5 Laubmeier, Chloe Hying, Amayrani Ortiz Arroyo, Rachel Waterfall. In musical theater, Kiernen Culver. The duets of Ryan Stadler and Kiernen Culver, Natalie Schaller and Melanie Shannon, Amelia Shannon and Moriah O’Bday, Blake Mueller and Maddie Mueller, Rylee Teschner and Allee Elder. The musical theater duet of Chloe Hying and Madi Crotsenberg. And the double quartet of Will Behling, AJ Kloehn, Devan Woodhouse, Marshall Meyer, Ryan Stadler, Micah Meyer, Kiernen Culver and Braeden Argall.
Twenty events received a second rating. In solos: Braeden Argall, Eliza Wiertzema, Herry Clancy, Val Fauver, Janessa Paul, Ruby Carter, Elyse Stafslien, Olivia Menne, Gabe Fauver, Baylee Barnett, Kaitlyn Rotheray, AJ Kloehn, Isaac Lundgren, and Tatum McCoy. In musical theater: Elyse Stafslien. In duet: Maddie Mueller and Maggey Edwards, and Ava Martin and Ava Gottschall. In the Jr./Sr. SSA ensemble: Sydney Kepler, Rachel Waterfall, Aundrea Nundahl, Madi Crotsenberg, Ava Martin, Val Fauver, Breah Eggleston, Maggie Keller, Ava Gottschall, Amelia Shannon, Ellavy Weiss, and Moriah O’Bday. In the Sophomore SSA ensemble: Mara Puls, Riley Banker, Aubree Hilleshiem, Skye Halverson, Esme Rohn, Pippa Ewing, Rowan May, Juliette Hall, Sophia Ringelstetter, Amayrani Ortiz Arroyo, Ainsley Myers, Evelyn Ramsden, Aubrey Kohlstedt, Charlee Bailey, and Kiera McDonnell. And in the Freshmen double SSA: Ellie Girard, Rose Carter, Tatum McCoy, Kim Cooke, Milo Griffa and Estefani Castro.
