Police Administrative Assistant Honored

RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- Kelly Schmuhl’s 36 years of service as an administrative assistant with the Ripon Police Department was recognized by proclamation at the Ripon Common Council meeting Monday night.

Police Chief Bill Wallner noted Kelly was the first person hired full time for the administrative assistant role. He also said he had worked with her for 35 of those 36 years.

The Ripon Common Council did a standing roll call to show their approval of the resolution, something only used to show honor, respect, and appreciation. It was a unanimous vote followed with a round of applause.

Kelly is retiring.
