RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- A 35-year-old Fond du Lac woman lost her life in a camper fire at the Breezy Hills Campground in the Town of Byron Sunday morning.

According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office their Communications Center received multiple 911 calls just before 11 am reporting the fire. They were told a man and three children were able to safely make it out of the camper; however a woman was still inside.

Deputies, and Eden and Fond du Lac Fire Departments responded to the scene. Fire crews extinguished the fire and found the woman dead inside the camper.

The cause of the fire and manner of death are still being determined. Sheriff’s officials say the fire appears to have originated in the kitchen area. It was quickly brought under control and extinguished by firefighters.

The man and three children were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The American Red Cross also assisted at the scene.
