
WAUTOMA, Wis (WAUH)- One driver was killed and three other people were injured in a three-vehicle head-on crash in Winnebago County’s Town of Nekimi early Wednesday afternoon.
Sheriff’s officials say it happened on County Road N near Knapp Street shortly before 1 pm. When deputies arrived at the scene they found three vehicles had been involved in the crash and were blocking both sides of the road.
One person had been ejected from their vehicle. The driver of another vehicle had died, and a passenger was in critical condition. The driver who had been ejected was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive. The driver of the third vehicle was also injured and was transported to an area hospital.
Assisting at the scene were the State Patrol, the Winnebago County Highway Department, the Oshkosh Fire Department, Southern Winnebago EMS, the Town of Nekimi First Responders and Fire Department, and the Van Dyne First Responders and Fire Department.
