RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- Fond du Lac County Sheriff Ryan Waldschmidt says a 28-year-old Green Bay woman used every means possible to try and outrun his deputies during a 13-mile pursuit.
She headed into the county heading south on State Highway 26 early Wednesday morning. She was going over 100 miles an hour passing vehicles as she entered the Village of Rosendale and increased her speed to over 130 leaving it.
Tire deflation devices were deployed near County Highway TC. She lost a tire turning onto a frontage road and drove through a farm field. Deputies eventually boxed her in.
Waldschmidt says she refused to come out of the vehicle, and they had to smash a window and use a taser on her. Three squad vehicles were damaged during the box in maneuver, but no one was hurt.
Sheriff Waldschmidt feels if they hadn’t stopped her, she might have injured or killed another motorist. The woman was booked into the County Jail on felony fleeing, second-degree recklessly endangering safety, and resisting an officer charges. She was also cited for speeding.
