RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials tell us a 78-year-old Pickett man was critically injured in a single-vehicle crash at W7454 County Highway OO in the Town of Lamartine Tuesday morning.
A 911 call reported the accident shortly before 9 am indicating the vehicle had left the roadway and struck a boat and trailer. The SUV was heading east on County Highway OO when it encountered a patch of black ice, causing the driver to lose control. Due to the extent of the Pickett man’s injuries, Flight for Life was requested and landed in Village Park in North Fond du Lac. The man was flown to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah. He was last listed in critical condition. The driver was wearing a seatbelt.
In addition to deputies, North Fond du Lac Fire and EMS, and Lamartine Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to the scene.
