Oshkosh Man Killed in Fond du Lac County Crash

RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- The victim of the accident has been identified as 61-year-old Troy Navis of Oshkosh.

Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials tell us a 61-year-old Oshkosh man died Monday from injuries suffered in a single vehicle rollover crash.

The County’s Communication Center got a call shortly before 7 pm about a crash on County Highway M near Amity Road in the Town of Waupun.

When deputies arrived the sole occupant of the vehicle was inside the overturned vehicle in a ditch. Brandon/Fairwater Fire Department extricated him and began administering medical aid. He was taken to St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac where he died.

The preliminary investigation found the vehicle was heading north on County Highway M. Just north of Amity Road it went off the highway into a ditch where it struck an embankment and overturned. Alcohol is a factor in the crash.

It was the county’s first traffic fatality of the New Year.
