RIPON, Wis (WRPN) – A fire damaged a downtown Berlin business and upstairs apartments Thursday afternoon.

The owner of the Dandelion Farm and Relaxation Spa at 120 West Huron Street posted on social media their thanks to the Berlin Fire Department and Berlin Police. She also thanked the Berlin Veterinary Clinic for checking on the animals they use in their business. Their shop cat, Dandelion, also was okay. She says their shop will be closed for a while.

In addition to police and fire, Berlin EMS responded and a mobile command center was set up. The area was closed off while firefighters and first responders were on the scene.

The extent of the damage and cause of the fire were not reported but there were families living above the business that were displaced and lost possessions in the fire.
