Wild Rose School District Threat
WAUTOMA, Wis. (WAUH) – Wild Rose School District officials learned of a possible threat directed at the Wild Rose High School at about 8 a.m. this morning.
Wild Rose Police Chief Nate Klapoetke was contacted, and they requested additional assistance. The Waushara County Sheriff’s Office, Wautoma Police, Plainfield Police, Waushara County Emergency Management, Wild Rose Fire Department, and Waushara County EMS responded.
An investigation determined the information was from a social media post that was not directed towards the Wild Rose School District. Another law enforcement agency from outside the county had already addressed the threat last week.
There was never any specific mention to any school in Waushara County or any threat to a school district in the county. As a precaution, there will be a continued law enforcement presence today at the Wild Rose School District.
