Fatal Accident in Green Lake County

RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- One person was killed and two people were injured in a collision between a loaded dump truck and a pickup truck in Green Lake County Friday morning.

According to the Sheriff’s Office a 911 call reported the crash on County Highway A near Miller Road in the Town of Green Lake at 10:43 am. The dump truck was heading north on County Highway A and the pickup east on Miller Road.

The dump truck driver was taken to a hospital for evaluation. The driver of pickup was taken to a hospital by helicopter. A passenger in the pickup truck died at the scene.

Deputies and the State Patrol responded to the crash, along with ambulances from Markesan and Green Lake. Also assisting at the scene was the Markesan/Grand River Fire Department, Markesan Emergency Management, and the Green Lake County Medical Examiner’s Office.
