APPLETON, Wis. (WISS) – State legislators from the Fox Valley will participate in a virtual Legislative Town Hall Meeting on Sept. 29.
The event will take place on Monday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event is hosted by the League of Women Voters of Appleton-Fox Cities and the League of Women Voters Winnebago County.
A press release from the League of Women Voters states that all state legislators from the area have been invited to attend. The lawmakers will have the opportunity to outline their priorities for the current legislative session in Madison, answer questions prepared in advance, and respond to additional questions from the audience.
“The town hall is intended to be a two-way conversation among the legislators and the audience. Audience members may submit questions during the event as time allows. The League reserves the right to screen questions for partisanship, duplication, and civility,” the press release read.
The event is free. Registration is required at the League of Women Voters of Appleton-Fox Cities website in the “Events” section.
The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
