Oshkosh Community Players Present Rope
WAUTOMA, Wis (WAUH)- The Oshkosh Community Players will be presenting the taunt thriller Rope at the Grand Theater. Performances are Thursday through Saturday, September 25th through the 27th at 7 pm each evening with a 2 pm matinee that Saturday.
Patrick Hamilton wrote the psychological thriller nearly 100 years ago based on the Loeb and Leopold murder in Chicago in 1924. The play is set in London and the two leads like the famous pair are also trying to get away with the perfect murder.
Director Bob Amsden says they invite guests for a late night gathering and the body is hidden in a chest being used as a dining table in the apartment. The guests include the victim’s mother, his aunt, his former girlfriend, and the student’s old professor.
Tickets are available at The Grand’s website or by calling 920-424-2350.
