Fond du Lac County Chase and Arrest

RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies were involved in their fourth high-speed pursuit over a 10 day span early Saturday morning.

Just after Midnight a deputy saw a motorcyclist speeding east on East Johnson Street near North Park Avenue in Fond du Lac. The deputy tried to pull the biker over but the motorcyclist increased his speed to 85 miles an hour.

The suspect accelerated to over 100 miles an hour leaving Fond du Lac on State Highway 23 eastbound. A second duty near County Highway K joined the pursuit and the motorcyclist eventually pulled over near Whispering Springs Boulevard. The pursuit lasted 3.2 miles.

The driver, a 19-year-old North Fond du Lac man, was booked into the Fond du Lac County Jail for felony fleeing and eluding an officer and received multiple traffic citations.

Since August 28^th deputies have been involved in four high-speed chases leading to seven arrests.
