
Lt. Gov. Rodriguez Visits Thrasher Opera House
RIPON, Wis. (WRPN/WAUH) – Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake welcomed Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez on Thursday, Aug. 28.
She is touring all 72 counties and stopped by for a tour of the historic opera house, and to talk with staff and board members about the importance of the arts in rural communities.

Thrasher Opera House Executive Director Rachael Avery led the tour and highlighted the historic opera house, gave a look inside the artist’s “green room,” showed off the local Artisan Gallery and Store, and talked about the creative arts and its impact on well-being.

Avery said “we are honored to be visited by Lieutenant Governor Rodriguez; our mission is to promote the arts, and the power of live performances. We talked about the economic impact our space provides to the area, the importance of outreach and connecting with our communities, and how crucial funding is for the arts.”
