
Oshkosh Shooting Suspect in Custody
WAUTOMA, Wis (WAUH)- Police in Oshkosh took a 17-year-old man into custody on first-degree attempted homicide and other charges Sunday.
The teen was a person of interest in a shooting that occurred in the 600 block of Franklin Street Saturday afternoon. He was located in the 1200 block of West 12th Avenue and was taken to the Winnebago County Jail.
Saturday about 1:50 pm officers were dispatched to the area of Central Street and West Irving Avenue for a report of gunshots. They found a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say it was an isolated incident between the victim and the shooter.
