
Waushara County Death Investigation
WAUTOMA, Wis (WAUH)- The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an apparent suicide in Waushara County’s Village of Wild Rose.
Waushara County Sheriff’s deputies tried to contact an individual Wednesday morning in Wautoma who was believed to be suicidal. Law enforcement spotted that person driving on County Road H near the Village of Wild Rose. Officers attempted a traffic stop but the driver headed north on State Highway 22.
Preliminary investigation determined the person pulled into a parking lot off of State Highway 22 near County Road A and succumbed to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Life-saving measures were unsuccessful.
When the investigation is complete reports will be turned over to the Waushara County District Attorney’s Office.
