
Three Arrested Following Pursuit
RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials are asking for the public’s help in locating a pink backpack and handgun ditched during the pursuit of three individuals Tuesday night.
Winnebago County Sheriff’s deputies pursued a vehicle on I-41 southbound that traveled into Fond du Lac County. Their pursuit was terminated, but a short time later a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy located the suspect vehicle parked off the roadway near W6395 Lincoln Road.
Two people were located in the vehicle, and a third was eventually taken into custody on White Pine Road near Lone Elm Road.
A search of the vehicle turned up five grams of cocaine, crack cocaine packed in nine half-gram bags for sale, 12 grams of Psilocybin, numerous THC vape pens and ammunition. The three suspects ranged in age from 18 to 28 and face citations and charges in both counties.
The backpack was believed to be stashed near or under a pine tree close to the vehicle’s location at W6395 Lincoln Road. It may contain more drug-related items and a handgun. If you observe those items, do not retrieve them call the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center at (920) 929-3390.
