Redgranite Man Sentenced to State Prison
WAUTOMA, Wis (WAUH)- As part of a plea agreement, a 51-year-old Redgranite man has been sentenced to four years in state prison and five years of extended supervision for possessing child pornography, a machine gun, and making threats to law enforcement.
Stanley Waters III will also have to register as a sex offender for 15 years upon his release.
According to the press release from the Waushara County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives charges stemmed from a 2024 firearms investigation. That resulted in John Taylor and Allison Mundt being sentenced in federal court for trafficking methamphetamine and firearms.
Waters was present when a search warrant was executed in that investigation in the Town of Warren. He was non-compliant during the search. A K-9 was deployed and he was taken to a hospital.
Later he made threats to law enforcement. That led to criminal charges and a subsequent investigation in which evidence linked him to child pornography and a machine gun.
