RIPON, Wis. (WRPN) – A Fond du Lac County judge Monday sentenced a former Taycheedah Correctional inmate to life in prison on a first-degree intentional homicide charge.

Last month, 29-year-old Taylor Sanchez pled no contest to killing a cellmate. During yesterday’s sentencing Judge Tricia Walker stated that “this was an attack that was wholly vicious” and denied eligibility for release, citing the brutality of the homicide.

Sanchez beat 68-year-old Cindy Schulz-Juedes to death in her cell in on July 19, 2023. In June of 2022, Cindy Schulz-Juedes was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole for the August 2006 shooting death of her husband, Kenneth Juedes.

According to the criminal complaint, Sanchez told officers she was hearing voices telling her to kill Schulz-Juedes.

The case was investigated by Fond du Lac Police with assistance from the Taycheedah Correctional Institution. Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney prosecuted the case.
