A Fiery Crash in Fond du Lac Claims a Life

FOND DU LAC, Wis (WRPN) – Authorities in Fond du Lac say a 22-year-old Fond du Lac man didn’t survive a single vehicle crash early Friday morning.

Fond du Lac Police and Fire and Rescue responded to the intersection of South National Avenue and Deneveu Circle at 3 a.m. An SUV was fully engulfed in flames when police and firefighters arrived. The fire was quickly extinguished.

Responders located the Fond du Lac man in the driver’s seat. He had died from injuries suffered in the crash. No one else was in the vehicle. No name was released out of respect for his family. The accident is still under investigation.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office and State Patrol also assisted at the scene.
