MUSCODA, Wis (WRCO / WRCE) – Riverdale won 9-4 over Iowa Grant in SWAL baseball Friday night. After the Panthers plated a run in the top of the first, Riverdale responded with 6 runs on 5 hits.  The Panthers added 3 runs in the 3rd before the Chieftains scored 3 times in the 4th frame on 3 more hits.  Chase Chitwood was the winning pitcher after working the first 4 innings. Freshman Eli Campbell pitched the last 3 innings to help nail down the win. 

Ethan Kagel was 3 for 4 for Riverdale with a double and an rbi, Chase Chitwood was 2 for 4 with an rbi and Eli Campbell, Henry Drone, Owen Blankenship, and Talan Childs each had hits.  Drone and Blankenship each had doubles.  

The Panthers were led at the plate by Will Fulton and Cash Anderson who each had 3 hits.  Iowa Grant used 3 pitchers as Nehemiah Cartwright, Everett Zimmer, and Maddox Fish all worked from the mound.

Following the 9-4 win, Riverdale is now 2-0, and 1-0 in the SWAL. They will play Tuesday at Southwestern.  Iowa Grant will host Fennimore also on Tuesday.
