MADISON, Wis. (WMDX) – Voters will narrow the field in three Madison Common Council races Tuesday.

We’ve broken down the races by district:

  • District 9, on the Northwest side of the city: Current Alder Nikki Conklin is running for reelection. Her challengers are Ricardo Cruz and Joann Pritchett.
  • District 10, on Madison’s southwest side: Alder Yannette Figueroa Cole is running for reelection. Her challengers are former alder Sheri Carter, and Lisa Veldran.
  • District 12, on the North side of Madison: Alder Amani Latimer Burris is running for reelection. She’s challenged by Hussein Amach and Julia Matthews.

To check which races will be on your ballot, you can head to myvote.wi.gov and see a preview.

The Sun Prairie City Council and the Fitchburg City Council each have one primary race.

In all these primaries, the top two vote-getters will advance to the spring election on April 1.

The only statewide race on the primary ballot is for Superintendent of Public Instruction.
