Civic Media’s news and political teams provide coverage and analysis during a Special Broadcast as the campaign intensifies stops in the battleground state
By Teri BarrIt is no surprise. The 2024 election is a little more than two months away and the Badgers state is considered a pivotal battleground. Former President Donald Trump is targeting Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania in the race for the White House. And with Vice President Kamala Harris holding a narrow lead, Trump’s best chance to cut into this advantage is in these states.
The most recent Wisconsin stop for Trump was at the La Crosse Center. He held a town hall style gathering and the Civic Media radio network had it covered. News Director Terry Bell, along with show hosts Todd Allbaugh and Maggie Daun, Political Editor Dan Shafer, WCFW’s News Bureau Chief James Kelly, special guest Trygve Olson of the Lincoln Project, and many more joined the special broadcast.
The event in La Crosse was moderated by former Democratic congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, now a Trump supporter. Her presence highlights what appears to be a trend of campaigns looking for “friendly” moderators.
Trump will continue to intensify his efforts in the state. And in this critical electoral landscape, Wisconsin’s outcome in November could reshape the political future of the United States.
