Republican Patrick Testin wins 24th Senate District

The 24th Senate District covers parts of Jackson, Juneau, Adams, Monroe, Wood, and Portage counties in west-central Wisconsin.

WISCONSIN (Civic Media) – Incumbent Republican Patrick Testin has been called the winner of the race for the 24th Senate District in Wisconsin.

The Associated Press made the call Tuesday evening.

The Republican Party was favored in this district going into the election, according to CNalysis. The district was considered very likely Republican with a projected margin of 14 points.

Testin, who was first elected to the Senate in 2016, is a sales professional. He serves on eight committees, including as the Chair of the Committee on Labor, Regulatory Reform, Veterans and Military Affairs. He is also president pro tempore of the Senate and also is a member of the Joint Committee on Finance.

Testin defeated Democratic challenger Collin McNamara, a political newcomer.

The 24th Senate District covers parts of Jackson, Juneau, Adams, Monroe, Wood, and Portage counties in west-central Wisconsin. The 70th, 71st, and 72nd Assembly Districts are in the 24th Senate District.
