Members of the Zor Shriners in Wisconsin Rapids visited James J. Malouf at WFHR studios to discuss their yearly Feztival of Trees.
Laura BerghFor the second year the Masonic Lodge in Wisconsin Rapids transforms into an indoor Christmas tree forest. This year the Feztival begins on November 29th from 10:00AM to 7:00PM. The Feztival will be open at various times until December 8th at 4:00PM. There will also be special visit times with Santa! Admission is just a non-perishable food item for donation, to see these beautiful displays. Each tree has been assembled by local area businesses, and some sponsored trees get to go home with lucky winners. At the Feztival of Trees you can purchase $1 raffle tickets to win a special sponsor tree, and the unwrapped gifts under it. Each raffle prize is worth $500 or more. The Feztival of Trees raffle drawing will be at the close of the festival on December 8th at 4:00PM.
Ken Olm, President of Wisconsin Rapids Zor Funsters, and Chris Peters, member of Zor Funsters, came in to discuss the upcoming Feztival in a recent interview with James J. Malouf on Mid-Day Magazine. After discussing the history of the Zor Shriners in Wisconsin Malouf asked about the Feztival of Trees event. They mentioned that last year’s event they collected 700 lbs of food donations. Last year many people asked about other decor items like homemade wreaths. So, those are now an option for raffle prizes, or purchase, as well.
